My first car I got when I was 17 in 1984. It was 74'Red Camaro and was a hot car. It had a beastly stroker 383 in it. 350 with the turned 400 crank, shorter stroke engine. It was ghastly for a first car. This brings back great memories.
Pick up and keep it. It’d be beautiful get the quarter panel fixed get the front piece across the bottom and repaint it and it’d be beautiful to get seat coverage get covered. I think you should do it show how it’s done so people can watch it so keep up the good work we watch.
The rear valance panel(down below the back of the bumper) is very hard to find. It has to be a 74-77. I had a 76 and that area was toast. It was impossible to find that.
I had a car that looked like that but really clean, and it was because it was years ago. It was a straight six and a bench seat. I didn't want it for obvious reasons, but it was a really good car and I had a lot of interest when I went to sell it. It looked fast
You have a LT with Z28 emblems. I could be wrong. But to be sure I would Google the Serial number . 74 thru 76 have the same body style. I have a mariner blue 75 LT they're definitely sharp when refurbished or restored.
Personally I would repair any metal and interior. Then pull engine and transmission get them mechanically sound. Then try to maje metal repairs match paint ant satin clear it. And drive it. I love the aluminum bumper Camaros.
I have restored a few Camaros that were in worse shape than this one but they had titles when I got them. I used to fix them up and drive them, then sell them to buy another one. a 78 Z28 with factory 4 speed was my favorite.
I'm not a flipper.. im just a enthusiast who loves cars! I enjoy saving them and the ones i sell i usually just break even on. I dont do this for money i do it for the love of classic cars.
Restore there’s not that many 74ZLT‘s you need to restore it. I had a gold one, but I got told my brother told me but I love this every 428 which I had the money get one, but I don’t because of my disable have two bad knees and a bad back but I can get around. I drive still but I can’t with my income. I can’t afford to buy ita Camaro anymore.
It seems to me that since you have handed off the car a couple of times and nobody is taking care of the car, it seemed like karma has brought it back around for you to restore😊
I was thinking the same thing. So far i installed new brake lines and master cylinder. New wheel cylinders brake shoes and hardware. And a lower valence. Working on getting all the lights working and my friend is coming by to install the floor pan

I'd most definitely restore that beauty. Of course, I own a body shop in west Texas
I’m a Pontiac guy. Trans am and Firebirds but I also really like the second Gen Camaro. I had a 74 and made a street strip car out of it. Fun car.

I have always loved the 74-77 Camaro bumper cars, 74 obviously being the favorite the last year for the small rear window.
Same... had a 75 LT. Hate when they went to the plastic shit.

If you're going to restore a big bumper Camaro, a 74 Z/28 is definitely the way to go!, if this car was in Florida I would be tempted

If it was a four speed I'd be all over it! I'd also keep the cragars on it, love the look!

300 dollars ? 20,000 worth of work ?

I love em all, can't hep it!
Had cowl on my 72 heavy.
Too much work for sick old man
That would make a perfect bumblebee clone❤
Anyone with brains will never buy a vintage car from a dealer or a 'flipper'. They're one and the same.

@@robstorti519 You mean, you're not a SUCCESSFUL flipper.
Real Z restore it.
If someone wanted to spend some time and money. I think it would be a worth it.
I had that same car same exact color but it wasn’t as E 28 but I had a 350 and a four-speed transmission, but it was converted from automatic
Good project!
Are you in Vermont or NY? I’d probably offer you no more than $1,000. Car needs a lot of work and money!
Im in new york. Ive been offed 6500 already for it.
Redo it and sell in California for a ton of money. We love 75 or older.
Because its the only cars we don't smog!
