    327 is the small block to have, short stroke. good for rpm's.

    Big love for 327s . Sometimes you get one that a real freak ! Didn't have to spend ridiculous money to make lots of rpm's and plenty of power. Plus they're pretty bulletproof small blocks .

      It was the upgrade to the 307 in '69 210hp 2bbl from the factory. It's uncommon but not in good way
      It's not a real SS, all first gen SS Camaro's were SS350's or SS396. The 350 was exclusive to the SS350 Camaro in '67.

    Get that glass fuel filter off of there before it breaks and burns your car down. Use steel or plastic filters. Nice car!

    • @thud9797
      @thud9797 5 месяцев назад +1

      Yes, dangerous fuel line setup as so many do, should use no rubber on pressure side of pump, steel line only.

    • @gordocarbo
      @gordocarbo 3 месяца назад +1

      Agree!! Had one of those start leaking in less than 1 month!
      Those have orings, filter screws together I think
      Rather see a wix all metal filter on there. Or at least mount the filter below the alt vertically so if it did leak it wont douse the engine. PRefer to make my own steel lines these days

    I had a 1969 Camaro 327 Almost exactly like your Camaro, not to many 327 Camaro's around, I had some ppl tell me it was not a REAL Camaro cuz it was a 327, your only the 2nd person that I've seen with a 327, but I shook them off, It was REAL to me, mine was a Teal color with white racing stripes and it sounded excellent like yours, Great video, I wish I still had mine. I like your taste in rides! In the 90's, I owned a fake 69' Camaro SS. It was a base Camaro with SS badges. Not even a worthy clone. This was back when you could buy a 69' Camaro driver for around $4K and a nice one for $10K. Mine was slapped together, 283 thrown in, and cheap white paint. I thought that all 69' SS cars were either 350 or 396. Well anyways.. I dropped in a rebuilt 69' 327 with double-hump heads because I got a good deal on the package and install. BTW - at the same time I was shopping for a 69', a guy I worked with had a numbers matching 69' RS 327. Fresh paint but unfinished interior and rolling on spare tires/wheels. It was just over my budget. He sold it for $7K.

      327s came in a lot of Camaros from 1967 to 1969. The 350 was specific to the SS models for Camaros.

    Very nice! A good friend of mine owned a blue '69 with a '72 402 in it; later when the big block engine wiped out, he had a high-strung 355-inch small block installed with solid lifter cam, a Victor Jr. intake and a big Holley. I believe the 327 was manufactured into March or April of 1969 before it was dropped from the Chevy lineup. Best of luck with yours. 👍😎
