I just realized that I totally just watched this with no sound on the laptop... I didn't even notice because the action was sooooo cool!! Well, ok then... now I'm going to rewatch it on the tv+surround... MMMMMMmmmmmm!!!! Love it Tom!!!
Yes, the swim test is essential to the safety aspect of our program. It gives great perspective on what it takes to swim out of the river and get acclimated to the frigid waters! 🍒🏞🛶🌊
Interesting, I strongly disagree. Every run has benefits and challenges to navigate, on Cherry Creek all commercial trips have OARS. Paddlers help out a lot too!
@@SierraMacRiverTrips Thanks for the videos and the memories, lads. My and my team used to run this at 1000-2500 cfs in our Dancers in the early '90s -- and yeah, this tape is a little lower (1200 cfs?) but it captures the excitement! I can still remember flying off the rock in Lewis' Leap! Makes me wanna take a seat in a raft and do it all again!
Great drone footage..!! Nothing like a raging Sierra snow melt
I love watching Adam make it look so smooth!
Great footage! Thanks for making the effort to get a drone out there! And if you’re reading this and haven’t rafted Cherry Creek, go do it!!

Nadacop thanks for the sweet comment!
It’s far better without the music..
Such a rush!! Thank you for the fun and safety, Barry!!
That's some sexy flying man! It is great seeing such a powerful section from such a unique angle.
It's God's creation to make nature that beautiful frfr
need new oars for my kayak so I can row my canoe down this
Now imagine running this with bucket boats instead of SBs…
Ran this with Sierra Mac around 1990 or so, just after Memorial Day. Snowed the night before. Around $350 IIRC. Do you still do the swim test ?

Dope
I ran this section in one hour with a friend of mine side by side in a 13ft raft. Smoked this run.
Good for you! 🍒🏞🛶🌊
On such narrow stretches of water, those long oars are mostly useless.

@@TagVids, oars are vital. Long oars, though, are cumbersome and ineffective when there is not enough room to handle them.
RAD
I didn’t see any class IV’s let alone V’s.
Thanks BeelzeBob, perhaps you should come see them up close. 🤣
Tell me you’ve never been to the creek without telling me. Go there with that attitude and it’ll eat you alive! 😂
