Sadly that’s already happening. The kids today are already obsessed with anti age cream before they even get to double digits. The kids are so insecure bc of how much social media talks about it and the kids think they need to get an early start instead of enjoying being a kid. I don’t think really anyone should be worried abt wrinkles but kids really should not be worried
The comparison photo between normal straws and “Anti-wrinkles” straws is so PHOTOSHOPPED 😭 like they just took a picture of some lips and slapped their straw over it
It truly does. The photo with the anti aging straw literally doesn’t look like the mouth is even on the straw. Edit: I thought the first one was bad but the second one is even worse
Its the fact that these straws were originally for disabled people that piss me right the hell off. When will people who are completely able bodied just leave the stuff for disabled people alone, cause its just gonna jack up the pricing for the people who actually need it or its gonna make everyone assume said disabled person is "one of those people" and "doesnt really need it" when the trend dies out. Ive seen this happen with fellow neurodivergent people and figdets especially the figdet spinner. Heaven forbid I use my silent clicker outside of my pocket else i get ridiculed.
the thing abt fidget spinners is so real. i remember i was in middle school when they got super popular for no reason with neurotypicals and they just had to go and be absolutely annoying w them (using them to disrupt classes and whatnot) and so every fidget tool ended up getting banned from campus :// rlly messed w a lot of nd ppl i knew as well as myself as suddenly if a teacher suspected we even had those cube ones w the buttons we risked having them confiscated. ppl who dont need smth but make it a trend rlly do ruin the accessibility of the thing for those who ACTUALLY need it.

As a 31 year old, I thank you Kaytlyn for making this. I've felt gross and old ever since I turned 30 cause of shit like this and I'm starting to feel better about aging.
i was doing age makeup in my costume class and i overheard several of the girls in my class being like "i hope i dont look ugly with wrinkles when im old." kinda made me sad
This reminds me of a moment from the Barbie movie when she tries to remember her girl that played with her. Then an older woman sits down next to her at the bus stop: she looks over at her and sheds a tear, saying, “You look beautiful” and the lady with a gentle smile says, “I know”. It warmed my heart so much to see that. It made me cry a little too. I’m not afraid of aging. And I’m not afraid of growing old. I’m a little scared of death itself. But the process to getting there is living. And I’m not afraid to live
There's one thing in particular that I personally thought of here, and that is *Pain!* I'm 40, and a couple of years ago, I got severe pancreatitis and was hospitalized for ~3 weeks. When I got home, I saw that I had developed a wrinkle between my eyebrows, just because of the tremendous pain that I had experienced. Sucking on straws isn't what gives you wrinkles; *living* does!
1:02 fun fact! That was a tiktok trend! It was the "you only live once, so [insert absurd action you could do here]!" trend. It slowly died down because it was deemed cringe.
To me it's *worse* than an actual obsession with anti-wrinkling. It's just inventing a problem to sell the solution. Some company saw the cycle of insecurity on tiktok and thought "I can sell them a product", paid a bunch of influencers to shill it, and so many people just blindly follow the influencers they see on tiktok that it's taken off. It's not even just a sign of societal ill, it's an *engineered* sign of societal ill.
It's not laughing, frowning, drinking from straws that really causes wrinkles per se, but when you get older, your body loses collagen, which is the cause of wrinkles. That's why beauty brands make lotions, creams, and serums wirh collagen in it. There's even a powder you put in shakes and smoothies that's collagen and it supposed to help with reducing wrinkles.
A fun fact: the “anti aging straws” are actually for people that have a hard time drinking normally or with a regular straw, so these are intended for people with facial injuries or disabilities that cause them to have a harder time or not being able to purse their lips
"This is so when I get old I look younger" I look alot younger than I am and tbh i just wish I looked older because so few people take you seriously when you're legitimately upset and sometimes outright upset you on purpose bc it's seen as funny.
I don’t know that I will ever be able to understand peoples OBSESSION with wrinkles/aging in general? I am a whole, WHOPPING 37 years old. I used to be a smoker of about 20 years. I also used to frown… A LOT. I don’t have a regular skin care routine? I have a high stress life, due to raising children, life in general and severe chronic illness, resulting in MANY hospital stays, over a dozen surgeries and a wide variety of regular medications, including chemo drugs. I say ALL THAT, to say, I am regularly mistaken for my 20 year old daughters, sister/friend when we are out in public together… 😂 It’s been happening to us since she was about 13/14 years old. People absolutely can not begin to believe she’s my CHILD! I had a store clerk once (jokingly) call me a “darn liar” when I told her I was that child’s mother. I said, “I can show you my ID. I was born in the 80’s!” She said, “No you were not!?” So I pulled it out and showed her? 🤷🏻♀️ I think if people stopped worrying so much about GETTING wrinkles, they probably wouldn’t HAVE as many wrinkles? Cause, like I said, my life is CRAZY, and has been since I came down with my illness at 12 years old. Been nothin BUT struggle for me? But I’ll be darned if my skin isn’t nice an smooth? 😂😂
these things just make me so relieved to be in a healthy long term relationship. At the height of my ED trying to recover, I would constantly ask my partner "would you still love me if I looked x y or z way?" and their constant reassurance has led me down a path of body neutrality. Body neutrality is also how I am working on caring about aging or skin (I have had acne for 10+ years). Because guess what, the highlight of you is not where you are on the aging spectrum, how you look etcetera, it is YOU and the content of what YOU put into the world. It's your words and actions. Be you, please!!! Let's work on breaking down the hyper-awareness over how we look, and focus on WHAT we are DOING exactly.

I remember growing up in the 90s/early 2000s and hearing- don't smoke it'll cause wrinkles (and ofcourse other more serious things) Oh and being told cracking knuckles causes arthritis 😅
I mean, smoking (cigarettes) can contribute to premature skin wrinkling because of the toxins in tobacco smoke. Said toxins eventually can cause the breakdown of collagen (everywhere collagen is present) along with other contributing factors.
I think wrinkles, especially smile lines, are beautiful and show how happy you were during your life. People should put more value in that. Wrinkly old people are beautiful too- stupid media
Wrinkles are so beautiful. People can see every time you laughed until you cried, and every time you sobbed over a heartbreak. Also you purse your lips when you kiss loved ones. Having wrinkles is so normal and beautiful. Also yes the comparison of men and women as they age and just in general. Its so awful.
I love using straws because it helps me a lot with drinking more water and being healthier because of it. I’m grateful for every smile and laugh. That’s a lot more important to me.
My mom gave me so many insecurities around doing things a certain way. Usually it just comes from a place of their own insecurities. Live YOUR life, not your mom’s regrets ❤️
While I don't have a problem with getting wrinkles and aging, I do with my hair. It was my biggest insecurity for a long time until I found a way to take care of it in my adult years. My mum once told me when I was 16, I had grey strands of hair behind my ear. The moment she said this I pointed out her own streaks of grey to tease and get back at her for her comment and then I rushed to my bestie to make double sure I wasn't actually greying from stress. I was stressed in my teens and I'm stressed in my 20s, and it terrified me that I'd start going grey before I reached my late 30s/40s.
I know this might not help, since insecurities often end up deeply embedded in a person's mind (I should know, I have several of my own) but I have always found grey hair beautiful. My mother hates her strands and always dyes them, but I see them as something magical, as though a person has strands of sterling woven through their hair. It's just another sign of living, and it's beautiful. Every person ages differently too, and that's a wonderful thing, because we all have our own signs that we've existed.
Even with preventative measures to stop wrinkles because of aging you're really only postponing wrinkles like smile lines by a year or two, aging is powerful but it's also normal Enjoy being human, enjoy youth, and remember the people you see on social media are filtered and use makeup... That's not what everyday people look like so try to strive for more realistic expectations with your appearance... Ps if you really are concerned about wrinkles just remember to manage stress, drink water, and wear sunscreen.. those are more effective then any beauty product ever made
I am so glad that the only women that show on my tiktok fyp are the most happy, beautiful women that actually make me feel good about how I look because I could not LIIIVVEEE if I saw some of these people weekly, honestly ://

Growing up I was told smiling, laughing, and sucking on straws would result in wrinkles. So no laughing, only a polite giggle, no broad smiling, and no straws. No straws was also a convenient reason as to why soda was a banded drink. Middle age women telling elementary school me what was necessary for me to stay pretty and wrinkle free. 😂 soccer moms with too much time on their hands.

i want to cry at the thought of someone i love not having the years of emotions on their face, especially w/ my bf & my mum. when he smiles you can see the crows feet by his eyes and they are truly one of my favorite things abt his smile, if they were gone i might simply die. my mum occasionally gets her face needled (look it up) and uses lots of skincare products, i wish she saw how beautiful she is but this shit is a genuine concern of hers bc of how much society spews this shit out. aging truly is a scary, sad & beautiful thing, please stop spreading this type of shit, for the sake of future generations.
I was horrified by aging, and did everything I could to prevent it. Including sleeping with Scotch tape on my forehead, to ward off frown lines. Sun-block, no tanning, no smoking. Always wear a hat. I looked pretty good until about five years ago. Then my neck got weird and crepey, and now I have the mouth wrinkles. The rest of my face looks good, but the neck and the mouth. Yikes. I hate it. But not gonna spend the money for fillers, botox, facelifts, etc. I'm glad you younger people are getting a better attitude about it. It really is not worth wasting time or emotion over it.
I’m ten years older than you and I remember being your age clearly, I still feel 13 inside. Change is hard and I still struggle with it. I can’t believe my little cousins are graduating high school cause growing up, I saw them occasionally and so I think of them as little kids! It’s okay to be scared to age. This is so stupid. I’m 40, constantly use a straw, smoked for 15 years (quit 10 years ago last month!), and I still don’t have “mouth wrinkles”. Guys, you’re going to get older, just enjoy your life. Getting old is better than the alternative.

Kinda... if they're so upset about getting wrinkles from a straw then... don't use a straw? Instead of replacing it for another one? One that you can't even wash properly because of that weird shape that won't prevent any wrinkle at all?

Exactly and it causes a bit of an uncanny look bc ppl are used to everyone having emotions. When people don’t show emotions they look kinda like a robot to me
These poor kids in 3022 are gonna be insecure at age 4☹️
Nah, in 3022 no one will care at all about this nonsense and look back with embarrassment at this crap.
@@MatthewTheWanderer WE CAN ONLY HOPE
@@dobercry03 For sure, lol.
The first babies’s word will be Sephora 😭😭😭
Sadly that’s already happening. The kids today are already obsessed with anti age cream before they even get to double digits. The kids are so insecure bc of how much social media talks about it and the kids think they need to get an early start instead of enjoying being a kid. I don’t think really anyone should be worried abt wrinkles but kids really should not be worried
The comparison photo between normal straws and “Anti-wrinkles” straws is so PHOTOSHOPPED 😭 like they just took a picture of some lips and slapped their straw over it
WAIT NO IT DOES HELP
also inabakumori pfp no way
It truly does. The photo with the anti aging straw literally doesn’t look like the mouth is even on the straw.
Edit: I thought the first one was bad but the second one is even worse
YES SOMEONE ELSE NOTICED HOW PHOTOSHOPPED IT WAS
OMG 😮 it’s been photoshopped 😱😱😂🤣😂🤣
IKR. I still have my fidget cube, and am pissed that fuckin ableists ruin everything

They realize that they can just… open their mouth then close it on the straw instead of trying to consume their drinks like demons consume children’s souls?

If puckering to drink from a straw is bad, I guess kissing is bad too. Bye bye physical affection.
I was just thinking how many of these straw girls are worried about wrinkles when giving slobby gobbies? 😂😂😂

As a 31 year old, I thank you Kaytlyn for making this. I've felt gross and old ever since I turned 30 cause of shit like this and I'm starting to feel better about aging.
31 is SO young and I'm tired of people acting like it's ancient, especially for women/femmes.
30 is literally young af. Even if it wasn’t I still think existing itself is a grand occasion. Wrinkles haven’t killed anyone so why are we mad??
Same, I'm 33 and this stuff makes me feel so old and shit, even though I know I'm still young af
Guuuurl me tooo 😭
aging is a gift and it's awful that we are made to feel so terrible about it :( i hope things will get easier for us soon
i was doing age makeup in my costume class and i overheard several of the girls in my class being like "i hope i dont look ugly with wrinkles when im old." kinda made me sad
My mother was afraid of getting and looking old. She died at 60, so I guess she got her wish.
There's one thing in particular that I personally thought of here, and that is *Pain!*
I'm 40, and a couple of years ago, I got severe pancreatitis and was hospitalized for ~3 weeks.

1st girl cares soo much about her funky straw yet has lip filler... which will make your lips sag like LOL???
"Can't breathe without getting wrinkles" Oof.
Worse, it's supposed to be an disable straw for people who have issues opening their mouth.
Which is stupid because collagen is a giant molecule that does not absorb into the live layer of the skin😂
ITS A STRAW. ITS LITERALLY A STRAW.
Ok all things aside DRAMMA KWEEN ATE THIS LOOK

I think if people stopped worrying so much about GETTING wrinkles, they probably wouldn’t HAVE as many wrinkles?
I’m gonna be honest. It’s not worth it wasting your youth trying to make yourself look youthful is stupid asf
as someone who also has misophonia it sucks because i have a brother who can't eat with his mouth closed it drives me crazy and i hate being near him but i can't do anything about it because i'll get yelled at because he the perfect if not there near golden child
Isn’t he able or just a habit to eat with his mouth open? If it’s the later i as a mother didn’t like that either my daughter didn’t eat at school because of a boy that had the same habit. With us the only way one has a little slack was with a digested nose due to a cold. As a daycare mom I was told her kid was allowed everything and he would become a business man, I laughed so hard and told her no he won’t if he doesn’t learn table matters. I’m raised by farmers and fisherman and yet we had to have table manners because it would provide us to able to adapt to every live situation.
@@nancywillaert5129 no kidding, i had every little behaviour and mannerism micro managed and policed by my abusive maternal grandfather(like being sl*t shamed as a child for “manspreading” and being called a horse for eating too fast and having dysphagia neuropathy in my mouth and jaw issues) for not being “ladylike” and despite my physical challenges with eating solid foods i still hate it when abled people chew with their mouth open like they’re chewing cud they don’t really have an excuse to. i have to eat with my headphones in or in another room because hearing people chew makes me feel violent. how come us humble working class blue collar folk have table manners but mommy’s special little golden nepo baby has the table manners of a cow eating grass?
@@S3lkie-Gutz im sorry you had to go through the abuse because it was a medical condition, I find it sad that very able people think they got absolved from manners. I don’t like the sound of chewing either, or smacking. Or scrapping of knifes on the dish. Last time I asked my husband if his knife was dull? He looked what’s gotten into her! I told him the sound was like nails on the chalkboard! He wasn’t aware of it. I have sensitive hearing lol. He said no the knife is good, sorry must have put much force on it.
Aging is a privilege! I feel so lucky I got to the age that I am.
But also, this has nothing to do with the video, but I found out Sloan and Spill Sesh went to Jojo Siwa's release party and that bugged me so much
As a bisexual girlie who happens to be attracted to older women, I feel like it helps so much to be able to genuinely see that women are truly just as beautiful as they age. Attraction or not, women are just beautiful. Wrinkles, age, and body changes don't affect that. Seeing a woman with smile lines and crow's feet is just so endearing.

The humor is on point like usual Kween, but I wanted to say how nice it felt hearing someone my age just be real for a moment and say fuck the beauty standards and to just love yourself and focus on enjoying your life instead of what you'll look like in 30 years. I've gotten much better now, but I struggled with body image and self-confidence since I was like 7. So thanks for the real talk 🤍🤍🤍
me crying cause i dont look 3 years old at 60 years old
I remember growing up in the 90s/early 2000s and hearing- don't smoke it'll cause wrinkles (and ofcourse other more serious things)
Oh and being told cracking knuckles causes arthritis 😅
I mean, smoking (cigarettes) can contribute to premature skin wrinkling because of the toxins in tobacco smoke. Said toxins eventually can cause the breakdown of collagen (everywhere collagen is present) along with other contributing factors.
Bro I'm 17 and i look like I'm almost 30- 😃 but like who cares I'm proud of myself for who i am.

Its so awful.
my lip wrinkle is from smoking and i quit its not a beautiful thing for me but on others yes
I love using straws because it helps me a lot with drinking more water and being healthier because of it. I’m grateful for every smile and laugh. That’s a lot more important to me.
Unless they can defy gravity, you're going to age. And worrying about aging will just prematurely age you anyway 😂
My mum told me about the straw thing a while ago and now im a bit scared to drink from a straw again.
My mom gave me so many insecurities around doing things a certain way. Usually it just comes from a place of their own insecurities. Live YOUR life, not your mom’s regrets ❤️
smile lines show that someone has had a lot of happy moments in life. i’d rather have that than no wrinkles forever.
7:13 ok absolutely NOBODY purses their lips THAT aggressively
Even with preventative measures to stop wrinkles because of aging you're really only postponing wrinkles like smile lines by a year or two, aging is powerful but it's also normal
Enjoy being human, enjoy youth, and remember the people you see on social media are filtered and use makeup...
I am 40. I love straws. I smile and laugh all the time. No mouth wrinkles here. Wear sunscreen, drink water, and keep ur skin moisturized. And also live ur mf life!!!!!
That straw won’t help they are still creating the “sucking motion” hilarious they think that would stop wrinkling. Just remove the straw all together if your worried about creating wrinkles from sucking on something

i want to cry at the thought of someone i love not having the years of emotions on their face, especially w/ my bf & my mum. when he smiles you can see the crows feet by his eyes and they are truly one of my favorite things abt his smile, if they were gone i might simply die. my mum occasionally gets her face needled (look it up) and uses lots of skincare products, i wish she saw how beautiful she is but this shit is a genuine concern of hers bc of how much society spews this shit out. aging truly is a scary, sad & beautiful thing, please stop spreading this type of shit, for the sake of future generations.
It really is not worth wasting time or emotion over it.
honestly I'm 13 and I'm seriously so scared of aging. not because of wrinkles and allat but because I hate change sm. I wanna stay a kid forever 😢
There is a billion and one things that are outside of your control. Don’t waste your time stressing over it.
It’s okay to be 13, 23, or any age, and figuring yourself out, or missing the past or wondering where it went. I’m not sure how you will take this comment, but yours resonated with me so I wanted you to know you’re not alone 💕
Getting older and remaining immature is in the same realm as superficial vanity. It's about remaining a child at heart while enjoying life as your body and spirit grow into maturity with the heart of nature itself ☯️

I am 34F, lean towards androgynous, and don't wear makeup except for special occasions. Yet the picture of myself that I think is the most beautiful is me at my wedding a few years ago, with light makeup, the bouquet hiding the bottom of my face, close in, my eyes smiling. I love the wrinkles by my eyes. They remind me that I've had plenty of things in my life to smile about.
the way it's making me care. you guys, "hyper aware" is absolutely the word here; for this, for the aesthetics stuff, for the icks thing. We're hyper aware of how we look over WHAT we are doing. Let's work on caring more about our activities and hobbies and responsibilities than how we look doing them. (I need my own advice)

[2:21] if she when to aesthetics school, she should know that nothing anybody does will stop wrinkles. talking, being outside, moving, breathing, blinking, drinking, literally everything you do will give you wrinkles over time as wrinkles are caused by repited movements. Its a natural part of aging and it makes me deeply hurt that people are trying to stay young forever. it pushes those beliefs on young girls who are know obbsesed with skin care that only damages their skin and will cause them to look 50 when they're 15. its truly deeply saddening. (btw I'm currently in cosmetology school)

I’ve been hearing about straw line wrinkles for years. It’s been around a long time. It’s only since recently there’s been a straw that can “prevent” it.
Kinda... if they're so upset about getting wrinkles from a straw then... don't use a straw? Instead of replacing it for another one? One that you can't even wash properly because of that weird shape that won't prevent any wrinkle at all?
I love that they're all drinking out of Stanley cups too
There are a lot of products like these. They create a problem then offer the solution. And it clearly works. Just, do your own research people. Can't trust marketing too much nowadays.

At least, my parents did and I know I'm gonna lmao. It's like living in a bizarro world. I'm more excited to hit 30 than I am say, 22. I just don't understand this mentality. Like. The only way to stop the aging process is to die. And then after that, your corpse will decompose and unless you get cremated, you'll be eaten away by maggots and mold and bacteria and whatever else. We all rot eventually so just focus on the present, babes 🩵

I can’t imagine how miserable life must be constantly fighting against this natural process that comes for everyone. They must not realize that nothing ages you faster than anxiety and stress.
Another reason to be glad I deleted TikTok. And one way you can prevent those wrinkles is to put down the vape and quit the nicotine altogether
I was always told that if I crack my knuckles my hands will get shaky when I'm older. Also my mom always says I shouldn't raise my eyebrows when I'm surprised because I'll get forehead wrinkles (she did that a lot and she has those now) and I was SO anxious about this. Now I don't give a f-
