One of the best teachers covering one of my favourite bands! Hollow - Rivers of Nihil at 2:34 is my suggestion, I think he who wrote it said he likes to write almost happy sounding solos. I think it works so well with what is otherwise a pretty emotionally heavy song
I listen to very little death metal but this is my #1 album in the genre. So cool to see you are also a fan and always nice to see a horizontal video also! Awesome analysis. I don’t know what that neoclassic descent is called either but that is trick is something I’ve always used versions of that when practicing scales (not taking credit for coming up with it, I came across someone recommending it somewhere), it’s a great exercise and also fun
I've been a Metalhead for 15 years and Archspire is my favorite band. I've been listening to Death Metal, Progressive Metal, Black Metal and Metalcore, Deathcore since the beginning of my Metalhead journey. I've been playing keyboard for 15 years and electric guitar for 6 years... I am still in the beginning stages of electric guitar but I've been playing some cool riffs of my own but I really need guitar lessons. I have a Ephiphone Studio 10S guitar amp which has a really staticy sound.... I need a better amplifier and guitar because I need a better sound.
What an amazing video, you made really easy something hard to explain. I would love more videos of solos like this one. Love from argentina (world cup winner xD)
Any quick tips on how you cleanly played the tapping section ? Specifically how to avoid unwanted string noise when leaving the string during a string change
The right hand! When you leave the lower pitch string to go tap a higher string, bring some of your palm with you so that you mute where you left. Just take it slow and make sure you can play it CLEAN at a low tempo, in terms of string muting. Right hand for the lower pitch strings. Index finger on left hand helps with higher pitch strings. Good luck bro! Love seeing your comments
The 16th note repeated Index-Pinky minor 3rds Riff is the hardest part of this song by far. I am lucky if I can play it even once after hours of warming up
@@gavinbrooks100thing's that I love about Archspire, they are like an 'education'. Just learn, fails n keep practicing their song. Trust me, u will be a great guitarists. U nailed the solo dude🔥

@@gavinbrooks100 Never see this info anywhere else , appreciate it a lot
Archspire created more badass and hardest riffs than the solos

Etherial Skies by Obscura is a very interesting one
Nice
🤟
"Easy"
"easiest"
Archspire and easy don't fit in the same sentence lol
The solo is pretty generic. Seems this song got rushed in the solo department
