Finger length damn! Guitarist say hand finger size doesn’t matter. (If your beginner your probably learning intermediate level guitar = Slash. Any average joe can play Guns N’ Roses entire discography. if they play for years ‘endure practice’ practice. Anyone can learn most classic rock guitar. Even dual harmonies from Boston. By today’s standards this is intermediate level guitar. There’s a big difference learning MODERN GUITAR. Modern guitarist are NOT limited by ‘technique’ like 80s guitarist such as MARTY Friedman. Eighties guitarist are (flat pickers) which limits technique. Slosh plays Spanish sounding acoustic. Although I doubt a flamenco dancer would call slosh for a guitarist. (His rhythm would limit her moves) Modern guitarist have adapted basic fundamentals right hand techniques such as (thump) bossa nova blah blah. Lmao! Average hands are great for playing guns and roses AC/DC or less intelligent grunge music. Music anyone can play. Nirvana discography. Ha! But you won’t see average hands playing polyphia Covers.(small hands might pull polyphia on telecaster. Laughing! Average hands can most any Marty Friedman solos. It’s harder than slosh. Jason becker is harder than Marty Friedman. Jason becker is one who doesn’t play like 80s Jason’s got stretch! But more advanced solos guy from ‘berried alive’ I forget his name. I don’t even like his music (I watch his hour long guitar solo compilations) ‘berried alive’ will RIP your face off. Like watching future guitarist 50 years from now.

E flat tuning is ‘half step lower’ than standard. I always thought standard tuning was tuning the guitar to piano. The C note on piano is same C note on Guitar. Depending octave or pitch. A Six string guitar won’t cover every low and high notes on piano. Although ‘27 fret’ 8 string guitar might.

Polyphia was much better on Muse and Renaissance than 90% of their new stuff. Their song with Chino absolutely slaps ass though.

As stupid as this sounds. When I got guitar the first thing I learned was a nirvana song. Then polyphia riffs. The first few I never got down the first try. But I kept learning others and dude my skillset got so varied so fast.

Took me a long time to get there as well and it definitely helps to think about. Sick playing 🤘

To answer the question posed in the title of this video, no, I don't think Polyphia sucks, they are good at what they do for sure. For me personally, their music just gets kinda boring and stale. They use a lot of cool techniques, and the first few songs you hear will get you into it, but after a couple more songs you start to realize how similar a majority of their songs sound, despite the technically advanced playstyle.

Ah man thought he had some real insight on this lol I have a 7 string that even muting the strings I get some of that noise. I put a little foam under the springs that helped plenty but not 100%
