@@shanehughes3511 not possible. people seriously overestimate the power of makeup to make a 30-something actress appear older. when you age someone young, it’s almost always obvious. plus, Claire would have had to sit in a makeup chair for 7-8 hours before filming each and every day. meaning filming would have taken longer. if she had been a side character, sure. but as the protagonist? it’s not feasible at all. you can only age an actor up believably by about 10-15 years. she would’ve been replaced eventually no matter what. and there was no one better than Olivia Colman to take her place. Claire Foy wasn’t the essence of the show. she was the essence of Princess Elizabeth. Olivia gave us The Queen.
@@sethd6485 I agree, I support the actor changes but wish it didn't have to be done. AI and CGI could have been utilised to age them up, but the fear there is there'd be loss of facial expression when you use CGI, but CGI has evolved so much of late when it comes to aging. It wasn't as good though 5 years ago

Genius to not reveal who Elizabeth is talking to when she says she can never forgive - her husband, sister and the Duke of Windsor are all presented as candidates 😂

I'm telling you these UK Actors/Actresses can teach the US folks a thing or two about Acting. Now more than ever I find myself watching More UK Shows than US. I watch Shows like Eastenders, Emmerdale, and Coronation Street, not to mention Last Tango In Halifax, Victoria, Call The Midwife and Gentleman Jack.
I'm enjoying "Vera".
Why the need to bash another country and it’s talent. Both countries have amazing series and performers the US has The Americans, Breaking Bad, Westworld, Ozark, watchmen, Veep, Sucession, Atlanta etc
UK soaps are vastly better than American soaps. I wish Netflix or somebody would try to modernize them, but the way things are going American soaps will be dead soon.
@@joshuam.desouza3036 It's not so much that it's just that now more than ever England's TV Legacy in North America is stronger than ever. Also alot of "Classic" Shows were inspired by UK Shows. All In The Family (Till Death Do Us Part), Three's Company (Man About The House), Too Close For Comfort (Keep It In The Family) and Sanford & Son (Steptoe & Son). Also The UK was the Third Country (After New Zealand & Australia) that did The Popstars Show not to Mention The "Idol" Franchise as well as The Voice.

I am an Indian and the makers have dubbed this amazing series in Hindi and it's really good to listen it even in Hindi, it's not at all like the Hollywood movies that are dubbed weirdly in Hindi, it's just on another level, and I'm so in love with clarie foy😍😍😍😍😍😍

Wow, im in love with this show! I think is so well done, the story is magnificent, the quality is great! Never seen anything like it. I love the crown!
I love the first 2 seasons coz this is the Elizabeth that most of us didn't see, this is the woman who have the link from "Shirley Temple" to Her Majesty and this the when monarchy of the past have to be transformed for the future.

I have only just started watching this series after trying to avoid it but after hearing some really good reviews both on TV and from people at work I decided to watch the series and I have to admit I'm actually really enjoying watching The Crown to be honest it's much better than Downton Abbey which became stuffy and boring. The Crown I feel is much more interesting and because I love history is one of the reasons why I enjoy this show. Currently I'm halfway through watching series one liking forward to watching series 2.
The crown is not like downton abbey mate it's writing alone sets it apart on most period dramas

This trailer is the best trailer among all the seasons and season 1 and 2 are my favourite season 3 was quite dull then season 4 was on shoulders of dianna and charles for me which was also very nice season but u guys got me on 1 and 2.

Claire Foy is a good actress, but looks absolutely nothing like HM Queen Elizabeth II, that role still to this day belongs to Dame Helen Mirren who has an Oscar for Best Actress from 2006 to prove it.
