People don’t talk enough about how good the season trailers for The Crown are. The music, editing, character introduction, just superb. This one for season 3 is actually my favourite season trailer.

This season actually became one of my favorites. I just love how some episodes reflects others. Aberfan was about Elizabeth’s inability to wimp. Margarethology about her sister’s sufferings. In the end, the two sisters get back together so vulnerable and emotional. I thought the writing was amazing.

As someone who lives on another continent, I think England has produced the most influential and powerful female leaders, no matter their politics.
I was 17 when the Queen celebrated her Silver Jubilee and was a trainee junior reporter for my local newspaper. When she visited my home town, Middlesbrough, I had to go into the streets and gague the reaction of the people. Opinion seemed to be split 50/50, I was then as now a republican, but when she passed by in her swanky Roller she seemed to look directly at me and her smile was radiant. I hope Olivia Coleman makes a good job in her portrayal of the Queenl, and I'm avidly looking forward to season 3.

Also, tourism isn't just about London, foreign visitors come to the UK in their millions to visit numerous areas of this island. To imply the UK would be nothing without a monarch is not particularly forward thinking.Very few,if any, tourists go to see Buckingham Palace because they think they'll catch sight of the Queen. The Palace of Versaille attracts many thousands of visitors and the fact that there isn't a monarch living there doesn't detract from its appeal.

Yeah I think every one of them was a victim of circumstance. Charles really loved Camilla. He married Diana because of his father. But I don't think I could ever forgive the way he treated a young innocent Diana.

How can the production explain that the 1st and 2nd seasons the queen had fantastic blue eyes and now on season 3 her eyes studently turn brown? And the actress on the first 2seanons did a fantastic performance, while this new one doesn´t captivate near as much.... Star now season 3 but thinking on stop here as in my view a bad start announces a decay in the quality of the series...
Olivia Colman did an incredible job! People age, you can't keep the same actors in every season, Claire Foy and the rest of the cast in season 1 and 2 were wonderful, but this new cast is really good too! I don't know if you guys watched season 3 and 4, but please watch them, they're as amazing as the first two. The producers also said they would change the actors every two seasons, so it's a little late to complain. The only thing left to do is enjoy all new actors' job and keep watching this wonderful series.
I just finished watching season 1 & 2 on Netflix, (which were fabulous) so I didn’t even know about this show before I encountered it there. When I began to watch Season 3 I just couldn’t get past the energy and appearance of the actors and actresses that replaced Elizabeth, Philip and Margret.. they looked and felt NOTHING like the characters that were developed from the first 2 seasons. I realize that people age and appearances can change, but to me the replacements were very poorly cast, and I simply could not engage with the show any longer.

Edward fell in love with an American divorcee and renounced his claim to the throne (effectively having to live in exile for the rest of his life). although Harry did not have first claim to the thrown, neither did Elizabeth or her father! (So it can happen that not always the first born becomes monarch). I’m late to the series but am loving it. As a Londoner, it’s key moments are the politicall/constitutional context of my whole life!

It's amazing how Elizabeth and Margaret eyes are changed in season 3.
They wanted to give them lenses but figured the lenses would lessen from the performances. They chose emotion over accuracy. Works for me.

My sentiments exactly. Very poor choices, and because of it, I will not be watching any season after the first 2. Im done with this show.
