- This is not a car we would want to be matched up against..this mean machine is capable of going over 200mph in 660ft! NOT BAD for a back-half Fox body on RADIAL tires! What's it take to go that fast? You could start with the Proline built 481x God-motor - assisted by some tiny 98mm turbos and a turbo glide transmission. This drivetrain combined with a Fueltech ECU is makes for WELL over 2000hp at the tire. We can't imagine what that must feel like to go 200mph fast in such a short distance!

TheMoezilla because it’s a totally different animal... that’s like comparing apples to oranges... one top fuel and funny drag cars are complete rebuilt from the ground up. This is a body of a production car with a powerful engine. I know top fuel cars make more than 10,000hp. Which is crazy. But cmon. Really? I’m like comparing it to the alpha omega gtr that’s like half a million to build. A engine like that this fox has is probably around 80k. Rest is probably 30k at most with all the tuning and shit.

It could maybe be driven from the sides. Or maybe just make the wheels extremely large but not actually connected in the middle and have an diff back there. If it was worth it, I’m sure it would have been done already tho lol. Cars guys are extremely creative.

For some odd reason (maybe over a decade of experience working on drag cars plus an engineering degree) I highly doubt these are merely 2000 horsepower

last time he said minimum 3K Hp at the wheels which means 3300-3700hp at the crank heck a single 98mm turbo is good for 2300-2600hp and this car has two of them so yeah
These cars run extremely loose converters. Drivetrain loss is likely over 20%. 3000 whp is more like 4000 crank hp
Kilo Kountry a glide with a loose turbo converter will be closer to 25% loss.
Kilo Kountry it’s in the converter. higher stalls lose more. This car probably has a 6000+ rpm stall. These engines rev to near 10000 rpm

Why don't people daily drive these turbo cars? Would it not get past smog and registration? There's gotta be a way around it. You could tone it down A LOT, maybe dress it up as a Toyota Corrola, and it would still be faster than any production car. Also in Nevada at least, you don't need to smog a car that's beyond a certain age.

BiigTee89 Its crazy fast for no wheelie bars and small tires but NHRA promods are (i believe) 3.60 1/8 mile cars--and 5.70 1/4 and Outlaw PM are into the 3.50s, so they are faster for sure.

these cars are as fast as the Top Fuel Funny Cars from around 30 years ago.
Bricklinsv1970 Well a TF car in 1987 was already around 5 flat in the 1/4. This Mustang just ran 3.90 1/8 which is roughly 6.00 in the 1/4. TF was running 6.00 around 1975. So say 40 years ago they were about the same speed.
These cars are turtle slow compared to the current fuel coupes. There, fixed it for ya.
So what are the 0-60 and 0-100 times? And what the fucks at Bugatti are doing? Their modified bug does 20sec to 200
