ASC T-121 Tornado Siren Test - Wakarusa, IN 10/6/14

Here is the T-121 at the EMS building in downtown Wakarusa. This replaced the EOWS 612 back in July, and the 612, which was sitting face-up at the base of the pole, is now gone. Unlike the 612, this now has radio activation so it goes for three minutes with the Model 2s instead of a minute like the 612 did. You can also hear the roll call at the beginning for the firefighters out at Model 2s, and about halfway through the video they can be seen returning. Wakarusa tests on the 1st Monday of each month at around 7pm. Today they tested at 6:53.

I wonder what they did with the EOWS. Granted the drivers were any good, I would've put it on an ASC controller and re-installed it elsewhere.

When they removed it, they layed it on the ground with the horns facing up. Last time I saw it before it was hauled away the horns had 3 inches of water in them. That thing had become so weak it wouldn't have been very effective anyways. The Model 2s overpowered it.

I have seen one of these with a broken stator. The wires are all knoted up due to the stator breaking off the outer chopper casting.
