Niles, MI 2001-130 Siren Test - 11/7/15

After LaPorte we raced up to Niles for the 1pm test of their sirens. This new 130 is located at Southwestern Michigan College Niles Campus by the US12/M60 interchange. Same one that failed on me back in August. You can hear the Allertors wind up in attack before this starts, me thinks the Allertors do attack on the 1st Saturday, and alert on the 3rd Wednesday. 130s do alert no matter what.

I wonder why there are way more 2001s than electronic sirens, because although more simple and reliable, you’d think cities would choose sirens that have voice capabilities and more available tones
