    Picked up many items at the show. My least expensive items included a picture of 5 Lackawanna RS3’s in a vintage picture, $5.00. I picked up a bag of littles for $20.00. It included five tampers, two vintage track cleaning erasers, three small tubes of grease, and some of the plastic oil/grease tubes. My fanciest accessory I found was a replacement lightbulb box that was in good shape with all the bulbs. My most expensive pick up was a 1950/51 Berkshire. I usually have a list of things I want and the idea I want to look for unusual items that I might not normally run into. At some point I am sure we will run into each other. I really like your scale Lackawanna Box Car. Keep on making those videos and I will keep on watching.

    • @wayneantoniazzi2706
      @wayneantoniazzi2706 Год назад

      Inspect that truck carefully (if you haven't done so already) and make sure the wheels and axles are seated properly. Also, look for broken wires from the pickup and return, open the car up if you have too. I've had cars from various makers with frayed or broken wires. The truck shouldn't spark and short your track like that.

    Those are some great finds you made Dave! And like yourself I could care less about "rare variations," I'm a runner, not a "collector" in the strict sense of the term. My collection theme is "If I like it, I buy it!"
    You know, I'm not too surprised at the Lackawanna "maroon" not matching, I don't think I've EVER seen two different maunfacturers agree on colors, unless it's black!
    Oh, keep that caboose in the plastic bag so it doesn't spoil before you get to it!
    Thanks as always for posting!

      If I like it I buy it. Sounds solid to me.
      Both boxcars and the pass cars are K-line. Maybe the scale car is a Delaware Lackawanna and western? The one that matches is a Erie - Lackawanna. I guess it really doesn’t matter. I’ll run whatever I like anyway!

    • @wayneantoniazzi2706
      @wayneantoniazzi2706 Год назад

      @@dagryffynhobby You're welcome Dave!
      Right, if the scale car's marked "Lackawanna" it's definately "Delaware, Lackawanna & Western." They didn't bother putting the whole corporate name on the cars (or engines) during most of the 20th Century, in the 19th Century they used " D. L. & W."
      Erie-Lackawanna came about after the merger with the Erie Railroad in 1960. However, in many cases they weren't in a big rush to remark all the cars overnight, so you wouldn't be wrong running the Lackawanna car in the E-L consist.
      The E-L itself disappeared into Conrail around 1974.
