Definitely a nice haul! That's always the case with train shows. You set a limit for yourself and there's always that one thing that's too nice to not pick it up.
I need to get blinders for the next show so I can’t see all the good stuff!

The route 66 flatcar is not just a beauty, it's a steal. The two tone late 50's Dodge cars... whether resin or metal die cast are awesome. 1958 ? Good Stuff !
I was hoping they were diecast, but they are resin. But that’s fine, I love the look of it and for $8 it’s a heck of a deal.

Another great video, Dave! I hear ya' on those scale sized cars. It's hard to spot 'em on eBay, thus the advantage of attending train shows. I finally got one of those 783 Hudson's. Ever since I saw your videos on that one, I've been a drooling fool for one, and it arrived today. It's HUGE! (that's what she said). Keep up the great work, Dave!

Well Dave as long as u can keep the lights on and a roof over the family's head why worry about blowing the budget. That route 66 flat car was a steal and an eye catcher. Great stuff!

That red CNJ box car is a design known as a wagon top. Associated with B&O. The FEC car has what is known as a PLUG DOOR. #%$#@@#&* The Budget!!!!!!

It’s so stinking hard to socialize and shop! One of these days I’m going to a train show incognito! Always green seeing you, whether for the whole show or just a few minutes.

Great looking models you've gotten, Dave. I think you've gotten a lot of freight cars for a great price. $10+ each isn't bad. You got 7 cars that you're happy with, just all at once! They make a great looking consist, although maybe you didn't need another Baby Ruth box car. But that's your 'thing', so why not?
Didn’t need another Baby Ruth?! Bite your tongue! Lol. No I probably didn’t, and I’m wondering when I’ll have enough. Anytime I get a car for around $10 I’m a happy guy.

I was noticing your metal bridges in the background. I just recently purchased used a green double arch metal bridge. Was wondering where you buy them?

All my bridges have been picked up at train shows for little money. Most could use a cleaning and painting. I hope to one day replace the double bridge with a custom bridge

All those cars for $75 is one hell of a deal, budget-buster or no! Look at what the brand-new typical O Gauge car goes for! I'd rather spend $75 for seven than $75 for one brand-new-in-the-box any day!
As far as a Allentown show video is concerned if you have enough stills and enough video to make a combination "slide show/video," say eight to ten minutes long, go for it!

Thanks! The caboose is a MTH blank I picked up at York. It needs to be painted/decaled. All the detail parts are still inside of it. Not a bad purchase for $20

Hey Dave, sorry we missed each other again but will keep trying. As you know I blew my $25 budget at 2:50 PM on Sunday when I spied 4 beautiful Lionel Pennsylvania coaches that were custom painted to resemble Jersey Central Passenger coaches by a Hobby Store in Brocktown NJ that's sadly no longer in business. The cars are beautiful and in great shape. Some bulbs needed replacement but otherwise they look really neat. They were $70 for 4 cars. Not a bad deal. I like your Jersey Central cars, glad you scored them.
I did the same, I took some Williams passenger cars I couldn't unload at shows here in VA and repainted and re-decaled them into NYO&W passenger cars to go with the Lionel Camelback I've got. Not hard to do either and they look pretty good if I say so myself.

The the $25 challenge I would have definitely screwed up I would have went from 25 all the way up to 900 or way more
