For anyone wondering there was an actual ruler in history who held a title like this. Fredrick the 2nd (1194-1250 CE) was the Holy Roman Emperor, King of Sicily, and temporarily the King of Jerusalem. His nickname was the “Progenitor of the Anti Christ” and sometimes just “The Antichrist”, which was originally given to him by a cardinal after one of his many excommunications. Interestingly enough Fredrick was a great king. He improved Administration, was dutiful to his subjects, and almost never abused his power. The issue is that the Pope wanted to claim Sicily for himself, and excommunicated Fredrick when he failed to depart for the 5th Crusade on time, because he was incredibly sick. The pope offered to revoke the excommunication if Fredrick handed over Sicily, but Fredrick refused and went back on crusade, and successfully reclaimed Jerusalem via negotiation. He got excommunicated twice for this, because excommunicated people can’t go on crusades and he didn’t fight for it (yes seriously).

The pope didn't really want Sicily, but rather that the Holy Roman Empire wasn't also controlling South Italy.
Moreover, Frederick II had sympathy for muslims and often tried to negotiate with them and debate. In fact he took Jerusalem without blood by negotiating with the Sultan.
He also created a city in South Italy just for Muslims (even though he also massacred a lot of them some years ago because they rebelled to him).
And adding even more to it, he crowned himself King of Jerusalem (while being excommunicated) and so the Pope declared that it wasn't legal anymore to celebrate the Holy Mass in Jerusalem, which is quite ironic given the place 😅
But his story it's even more interesting, because in reality his guardian while he was a child was none other than Pope Innocentius III and the Church believed that given his apprenticeship, he would turn up an amazing Christian King, which he was, but not for their standards (aka a puppet) 😂
Also cool that in CK2 you can play as him, though, you can't do what he did since gameplay isn't so free 😞
I had gotten something like this with an asatru character and was called the spawn of Loki. However I was then kidnapped by a man wanting to prove if I my reputation matched my name by serving me raw human meat. There were three options: one was eating it and getting the cannibal trait and some opinion with him, second was letting him have a bite of me which would injure me but would cause us to become friends and the final was to fight him off which had the potential for me to die trying. I had reformed the faith to have the cannibalism tenet so I just consumed the meat so kindly provided to me.

I got spawn of Loki while being pious. I just had 75 natural dread, mostly from being sadistic. I think the only requirement is to be dreaded and stay dreaded until the event triggers

my 101 year old emperor who is the highest rank in piety religious icon and just got this event and went from being the blood father to spawn of satan and i dig it. i mean dudes old as hell and still kicking they probably do think hes legit a demon. I think it depends on dread and not on being a sinner, this old dude has 100 dread as i he dont take no disrespect, very rarely does someone leave the dungeons alive.

@@genericpinesol If your character has good states its always worth going down the health focus tree in learning skill. That along with various court items and personal items and things like that. I had a character become infirm at like 50 and still lived into his late 80s. Also if you ever have a bad character and they just refuse to die so you can move on to a younger better ruler just reset your skill tree for the 100 stress. You can sometimes instant kill an old character that way lol

I had that happen to me when I ran an empire. I was able to fight it off. That character ended up assassinated, but he kept in power until then. Later on, I had a super pious ruler. I wanted to see what would happen if I snagged Jerusalem before a crusade kicked off. The pope called off the crusade, claiming that it was a failure for Christians everywhere. I was a Catholic emperor. I ended up excommunicated, but paid the indulgence to cancel it, lol. I used the gold I donated to the Crusade, since it got refunded back, anyway.

Another way to get it, just have the trait callous and it can randomly trigger I the hold court events, could also been helped by the fact I got 30 dread from a martial perk and dynasty perk

I don't think you have to have the Sinner level of piety. I got the event with a Head of Faith that had the max level of devotion.
High dread level can trigger the event.
You can also be excommunicated and not have any sinner traits or being a singer and get the event

How to crusaded by the pope
I got it yesterday by accident: my latest character had been put on the throne at 3 due to his father being declared three civil wars at the same time right after he ascended to the throne of Italy right after his father had seceeded from Byzanthium just to die a few months later, and at first I tried to be cool about it. But then, between my regent being a selfish bastard, a bad case of smallpox disfiguring me and other stuff I decided to go full SoB: I rebelled to my leige, I got the throne, I re-joined the Byzantine Empire while my uncle was fighting a war to push my claim as Emperor, I started a dissolution faction and I succeeded, destroying the Empire. I then looked back at Italy, I conquered it, I became a cannibal, I abducted the Pope, I beheaded hin and ate his head, conquered Rome from his successor reducing him to a vassal of mine, burned a bunch of people. Not a bad gameplay.
