The winner of this year's Best Comedy Entertainment Personality category is Charlie Brooker!
The concept for the Awards was originally devised and produced by British TV legend, Michael Hurll to promote homegrown comedy talent. The original show was presented by Michael Parkinson and winners included VICTORIA WOOD as Best Live Stand-up, PAULINE QUIRKE as Best TV Comedy Newcomer, and DROP THE DEAD DONKEY as the Best New TV Comedy. Other winners included RUSS ABBOTT, CLIVE JAMES & ROWAN ATKINSON.

Christopher Morris is my all time favourite to, and maybe 3 years ago Charlie Brooker was right behind him, along with Jerry Sadowitz, Sacha Baron Cohen,, Armando Innuci, Stewart Lee, Frankie Boyle, Im not saying Charlie Brooker isnt without reproach because he still does some amazing TV, but he recently has the knack of doing what he said he hated about TV the most

I like Charlie Brooker, even now as he has turned against his values and his beliefs, but I like him, loved Screenwipe, But CB is not a Comedy Entertainment Personality! Harry Hill is a Comedy Entertainment Personality! Must be on C4s pay roll! I noticed a lot of the undeserved winners were on C4s pay roll! Strange that! What with the show been on C4! Must be a coincidence lol

Well Screenwipe, Newswipe, his newspaper articles, his blog and his books before he found notariaty and fame on C4, WERE great viewing and reading and Charlie was a Tour De Force. A revelution. Finnaly we had someone who was a rebel and not an arse kisser, then he gets Thankyou for watching, the 10 O Clocfk Show, a Blue Peter Wife and suddenly crap TV is something he wants to be apart of and something he glorifys. He still hyaws some entertainment value but not nearly as much as he used to
