First , thank you so much foe posting! I had this dish many years ago with chicken in it . When would i add the chicken to it in the cooking process and would i need to precook the chicken? Thank you so much!
Glad you are going to make it :) The chicken is usually made separately from the rice, but if you are going to cook it with the rice, I would sear the chicken beforehand (Preferably chicken thighs). It doesn't need to cook all the way since it will cook with the rice during the 45-60 minute steaming process anyway. So, sear the chicken, then add it in between 2 layers of rice, then steam it all together. (Potatoes, layer of rice, chicken, another layer of rice) Hope that helps !
