"... horse on fire awesomeness!" That might be my new favouritest expression. Note, it is possible he may have said "house on fire," but horse on fire is just that much funnier (and fits well with the already established snake themed expressiveness...) :D
It's really a special coaster just in general. The flying snake dive horse on fire element is a great example of the kind of stuff any new ride should have - something unique.
It’s a lot longer than most coasters of its kind. Also more inversion. All the ones I’ve seen do the initial launch straight up comes back down, does a couple of air time hills and then, it’s all over.
I just went to HersheyPark for the first time last week. Storm Runner is officially my favorite launch coaster to date. Though Pantheon may have something to say about that when it opens up lol. But of all of Intamin’s hydraulic launches, this is easily the best. That Snake Dive is just so unique and unreal.
It basically is a mini Kingda Ka! They’re both designed by Intamin. I’m using this coaster to warm up to Kingda Ka the next time I’m at Six Flags Great Adventure.
This coaster has been closed every time I’ve been to Hershey. We just went this past weekend and I FINALLY got to ride it. It’s pretty awesome, my second favorite coaster in the park behind Candymonium. I’ve never ridden a launch coaster so I was super taken back by it, but I loved it!
these Intamin hydraulic launch coasters are very technically complex, so they unfortunately spend a decent amount of time closed. most of the time it's because of one or two small sensors, or something is up with the brakes on the launch track (there are hundreds and hundreds of sensors just on the launch track, for example). the rule of thumb is, if it's open, hop in line and stay there! the downtime doesn't usually last too long if it's a small problem like a brake sensor. plus, a lot of people will usually leave the line when it's down, so you wait less!
This was the 3rd roller coaster that I rode that went upside down. Hershey Park definitely helped me conquer my fears of being upside down. This or the Great Bear is probably my favorite ride there.
Man I would love to check this out sometime and ride some rides and more you can also make your own Hershey bar too I first heard about this park when I was watching only in America with Larry the Cable Guy I also want to check out the Hershey factory too
I absolutely agree that this has to be one of my favorites as well. I definitely prefer launched coasters over non launched, and I like that this ride actually follows a course of hills, inversions, and banked twists after the launch as well, and didn't go the route of Stealth. It reminds me of a miniature Maverick. It saddens me that Intamin stopped making the "accelerator" coasters with the hydraulic launch in favor of LSMs. I understand the maintenance issues with hydraulic launches, especially from Intamin, but LSMs just really don't ever seem to have the power & force hydraulic launches do.
Your comments throughout the video cracked me up! Just curious: You keep talking about "airtime." Does this mean that that you experience a lot of 0 Gs on this coaster, weightlessness? Is it rough or smooth?
the banking transitions are really funny on this one. every element sorta banks in steps, moreso than other intamins which tend to have 2-step transitions to the peak angle (like the overbanks on millenium force).
The problem is that they changed the “get ready, here we go” to be more before the launch, or it was a glitch. I rode it recently and I liked it when it said it right when launching
Has it been 17 years since this Intamin Launcher debuted? Cause this 75 mph 150' drop is still awesome! I hope everyone nom nom nom'd on at Hershey's! ❤️
I like that it's like an extended version of Xcelerator at Knotts (I'm in San Diego!), even if it's not a ride that's overly tall. KingdaKa is great and I love it, but having ridden it when it first debuted, my younger self was disappointed!! First world problems? 🤷♂️😂 ...so this ride looks good. I care more about quality personally than height. TopTD @ cedar pt - I've never been - but honestly I don't know that I'd wanna wait in those lines, for something that's 10 seconds lol. If I had a fast pass option, we'll see; or if it's a slow day. But I will definitely wait for something like this w Storm Runner. Sadly, I haven't been to Hersheypark since 2001. Really stupid long time. Wow twenty f'ing years?! Wtf that just hit me... damn gonna go ponder my life now lol 😭👍🌈🌈🌈
"... horse on fire awesomeness!" That might be my new favouritest expression. Note, it is possible he may have said "house on fire," but horse on fire is just that much funnier (and fits well with the already established snake themed expressiveness...) :D
Nope! “Horse on fire!” 😂 If you look at the logo of the ride it looks like a horse on fire running through the track!
@@themeparkreview Ah sweet! That makes the exclamation even better. :D
His excitement and voice while the roller coaster is going on gives me life
finally a storm runner pov that isnt 240p and shaky as all
True
100%

if more people had the joy and enthusiasm that this guy has riding and narrating roller coasters...there would be no more wars
I love how clean and smooth your pov's are, keep up on the awesome vids
Kingda Ka an Jersey Devil Coaster had a baby lol..
This is so wholesome you can tell he just loves it, one of my favorite coasters aswell
I got the opportunity to ride Storm Runner a few years ago when we were at Hershey. Yes, it is one seriously bad ass ride.
It’s a lot longer than most coasters of its kind. Also more inversion. All the ones I’ve seen do the initial launch straight up comes back down, does a couple of air time hills and then, it’s all over.
I like how you make POV’s every day and week and always makes my day.
Thank you!
No problem!

Have you done velocicoaster yet?
Have you rode Pantheon yet? It's my favorite ride now
This is the last guy I would ever want to sit next to on a ride
Got 1 ride on this on storm runner today, this kicks some serious butt, one of the best coasters ever!!!!!!
"The flying snake dive, horse on fire awesomeness...WEEEEEEE!"
I really do think that is a proper name for an inversion. 😁
“Now get ready, here we go.”
This is one of the best coasters at the park. It's short but sweet! Nice POV.
Oh Robb, you have no idea how much I've missed your POV commentaries!!!! GLAD WE ARE ALL BACK TO HAVING FUN!!!! YAY!!!!!!! I love Hershey park!!!!
Your reactions are priceless! This actually made me really excited to ride this coaster! Amazing content! Keep it up! 👍🏽 😃
The launch kinda looks like a mini Kingda Ka :D So cool!
It basically is a mini Kingda Ka! They’re both designed by Intamin. I’m using this coaster to warm up to Kingda Ka the next time I’m at Six Flags Great Adventure.
this ride is so good for sure is my 2nd favorite right behind Candymonium
0:42 So enthusiastic!! 🙂

rode this for the first time 2 days ago.. rode it once after that! I absolutely loved it!!
What’s sad is that the “Now get ready, here we go” line is off-sync with the launch
I hope they fix that
Before it broke down it was on second as soon as he was done talking you launched but I think after the new part came in something got messed up
I went to Hershey in September and I noticed that the voice track was off sync with the launch
"Twisty bits!" Dude, you're the best 😄👍
Man enjoying the time of his life
This dude loves this coaster, and his running commentary says it all ! Keep it up fella, gr8 vid 👍👍
You have a fun life, getting to ride roller coasters
One of my favorite rides ever
WOOOOH YEAAAAH I LOVE THIS RIDE! WOOOOOOOH
“It holds ass, it kicks ass” lmao I’ll have to remember that.

The best thing about Storm Runner is that it's one of smoothest hydraulic launch coasters if not the.
i love this ride sm.
That's one of the few coasters that freaks me out. I check my restraints like 100 times before it takes off. 🤣
Lmao my favorite launch coaster is the one at sea world San Diego. It’s like a ride that you pretend your a manta ray under the ocean.
This looks like a damn blast
hell yeah, stormrunner has needed a good mounted POV for a while
This is one of my favorite launch coasters
TWISTY AWESOMENESS AIRTIME CRAZY!
'I just love this ride'
'Holy Crap'
'Here we go'
I just love the comments every time we get a new video 👍

Imagine sitting behind him as a stranger and just here him yell all this stuff lol, dope vid tho
I remembered this!
I miss going to roller coasters. 😔❤️
This is a lot faster then it looks like on RUclips because I was on this yesterday
0:45 "FLYING SNAKE DIVE HORSE ON FIRE AWESOMENESS!"
>Called Storm Runner
>no storms in sight to run to
>disappointed...
>9/10, needs a storm
I might ride this today, I’ll edit the comment if I decide to
Love this coaster
You don’t even have to watch the ride to see what it looks like🤣
classsiccccc i love this ride
Just rode it today! Was going to go back for a front row ride but we got rained out :(
What day??? The day I went last week it poured, it was Wednesday the 18th
@@Robbielaina August 10th
What are these types of coasters called? That Xcelerator/Kingdaka/Top thrill dragster style
Did you film this today? And right in the morning?
“Twisty awesomeness, airtime craziness”
Someone was on crack while designing this ride 😭
Ong
How fast is the launch?
LOL that old crap moment haha! But that's nice!
I just did this one today
I’m going back tomorrow
Question what ride havent you rode
Definitley way better than Skyrush.
Oh combination of kingdaka and Velocicoaster lol
Looks like fun I'll be coming in October
My favorite at the park. Actually not a bad ride for people who are nervous to ride, it's over before you get the chance to even catch your breath.
Your comments throughout the video cracked me up! Just curious: You keep talking about "airtime." Does this mean that that you experience a lot of 0 Gs on this coaster, weightlessness? Is it rough or smooth?
Yea, that’s it exactly! And very smooth!
Hey I've been on this one!
LoL at your Fun Commentary!
May I use some of ur povs for my vids
the banking transitions are really funny on this one. every element sorta banks in steps, moreso than other intamins which tend to have 2-step transitions to the peak angle (like the overbanks on millenium force).
Hi bro! You must come to Malaysia!
Cause the Genting Skyworlds theme park is going to open in December 2021!
But, if the COVID.....go away!!
3rd favorite coaster it is better than Skyrush
I love the commentary 😂
As soon as I heard old Rob Alvey's voice, I smashed the mute button, hehehe!!!
Ha ha ha love it!
Short? You wanna ride stealth at Thorpe park UK !! That's short 🙂
Just went 2 weeks ago
Still faster than a plaid Tesla
It looks like it’s virtual
I saw this rollercoaster in person, but I didn't ride it because I don't like rollercoasters that have loops.
Short but sweet
I'm hoping when top thrill opens back up at cedar point it's a longer track like this
The problem is that they changed the “get ready, here we go” to be more before the launch, or it was a glitch. I rode it recently and I liked it when it said it right when launching
I did it. But I died a little!
