For me the scariest part isn’t even „falling“. It’s going all the way up and seeing the tracks disappear and realize we’re about to be sent into a free fall.
You ever see the guy on a high drop ride who says "it says your seat belt isnt locked" and as he walks over to check he's already hit the drop button. So as you're now extra terrified you then think you're falling to your death
I agree. I'll fall 800 feet, but the slow climb is the scariest part. Magnum in Cedar Point's highest point is only 210 feet, however, it takes 50 seconds to climb that hill. It also sounds like it's falling apart when it's climbing. For that reason, I find it scarier than coasters that propel you straight to the top in 20-30 seconds.
What you gotta do is put a big rusty bolt in your pocket, and sit next to someone who looks scared. When you get to the top, take out the bolt and say to them "hey, do you think this was important?" And watch them shit their soul out through their ears.
Back in the mid-nineties, my then-boyfriend and I lived about two miles from Great America. We had season passes, and spent most of one summer and fall hitting GA after work, catching some rides, and heading home. Needless to say, we'd ridden every thrill ride a bazillion times to the point where we knew the noises each ride made before it made a maneuver. We were best at this with Drop Zone. One bright, summer evening, we were once again on Drop Zone. If you don't know the ride, it's a basic tower ride where you're taken to the top of a high tower, then dropped. It seats 4 across each side (I've forgotten how many sides - 5 maybe?). Unbeknownst to me, a girl in the 4 seats on the side to the right, whom we could not see but my boyfriend could hear, was maximally freaking out. We get to the top (I still have no idea this girl's freaking), and right after the final "clunk" that signals the ride's about to drop, he yells, "Oh my God, the brakes have failed, we're all gonna die!!!" The ride drops and I hear this blood-curdling scream from that side as my boyfriend laughs hysterically. I didn't know what had happened until we were on the ground. The poor girl staggered away, obviously not happy with the experience. I kinda felt bad for her, but it was also very funny!
The “music” on here is just awful and you don’t get the sounds of the coasters, which is a good part of the thrill. Just turned the crappy music off. Ruins the video! Video being turned off too. Sucks.
I was 14 when I sat in kingda ka for the very first time. I dream of sitting on the front seat since 6 years. I used watch front seat pov videos and all hoping that one day it would be me. The day came and I sat thrice in the front row coz I had flash pass. It was the best experience of my life and a dream come true. I was getting so emotional that finally after 6 years I’m here. People behind me exclaimed when they knew I was just 14 and was sitting for the third time on front row. The third time I didn’t scream or anything. I wanted to see the sunset of New Jersey from the top. When it went to the top others were screaming while I looked around everywhere to fit that moment in my eyes and mind. I’m 19 now and I still remember it all just like yesterday.❤️
My mom had me at 36. I went to carowinds when I was about 12 and rode thunder road. My mom rode that coaster as a kid and the age alone makes it the scariest ride. It feels like it will fall apart
First of all, get rid of the music and put in the sound of the rollarcoaster and the people losing their minds and voices. Second, what's the song name?
i remember my first time to a coaster park, my father took me straight to Golaith and had us sit front row. he said if i can handle that i can handle them all 😎

So, a few years ago at a theme park in Canada, there was this really cool roller coaster. Of course, I would never go on it because it had this weird thing that had tracks leading to the top but it stopped, on both sides. Ends up it’s a roller coaster where you go through it, go up a track vertically about 6 or 7 stories high and let it drop you and go backwards. Goes on the other side and your done. This roller coaster also was one of those roller coasters that made you hang down, so going up was constantly watching you go up. Terrifying.
BeeSwarmer it really isnt. If your dad hadnt forced you on it, and you went on your own choice, you really wouldve enjoyed it. This is coming from a dude thats scared of heights.

I got so lucky since I got another free ride because when the coaster moved it didn’t have enough speed and momentum to go down so it went backwards to the starting line. To be honest, wooden coasters get a bad rep for being rough, try something like Outlaw Run at Silver Dollar City, Mystic Timbers at Kings Island or Wicker Man at Alton Towers. All of those rides are pretty smooth. RMC and GCI make good wooden coasters, as well as Intamin( El Toro is legendary because of the way you fly out of your seat, not literally though).
My cousin Elizabeth 💔 enjoyed roller coasters like this. She often went out to amusement parks just to ride roller coasters and eat funnel cake 🎂. Elizabeth sadly passed away in 2018 due to breast cancer 🎀. She was only 36 years old 💔. It's weird that she died 😢 because she was so full of life 😢. She rode 153 roller coasters in her lifetime 😢. At Elizabeth's funeral 😢, one of the pictures 📷 of her was her face with a roller coaster. Elizabeth was young and full of life. Every time I see a big scary roller coaster, I always think about Elizabeth and how much she loved them.
El Toro ride is such an amazing ride the only problem is that the wind hits so damn hard your neck end up in serious amount of pain they should really change the seating because your upper body has cero support so it makes the discomfort a lot worse. But it’s An amazing ride!.
Its a hybrid so it has steel track and wood supports while the wood coasters that you named have a wood track with a thin steel layer on top of the wood
It is not the scariest I have went to Europe in one amusement park, in that park the coaster was the most scariest😢😢😢,, the vertical drop was so deep😱😱😱😱
Most notably Valravn (might not have spelled that right so feel free to correct me) And Yukon striker have much better, longer drops with more airtime. Also, Oblivion Technically doesn't have a vertical drop as the wheels are not spring loaded.
Every coaster is scary or the proper term ”thrilling” in different ways Like speed height rough or smooth floorless, so you need to go into a TYPE for it to make sense. Thanks
Totally GP but El toro and 305 are actually really good Edit: Sky Scream is really fun but not intense, Goliath is intense but too short, and Kingda Ka is just... We all know Top Thrill CUBSTER is better.
Kingda Kas only scary bit is the launch however el toro and intimadator 305 are pretty Scary throughout due to extremely forceful elements and great airtmie on el toro

2:42 Sky scream is the exact same ride as "electric eel" at sea world, san diego, california
Dj St3rling it’s also Superman and six flags discovery kingsom
When I was on the sky scream, I realised how true this Name is. XF
I have been In that ride its named hype and it is in finland In särkänniemi
finally someone showed a roller coaster from great america
I have a different version of the sky scream at my local amusement park lol it’s called phobia
Alex Susca they are the same model, a premier rides sky rocket II, they are nine of them across the world
Also i have my own version named Zombie ride which is part of the skyrocket 2 model
At Sea World San Diego, it is about the same, and is called the Electric Eel
I went on the first one before! :D
Literally all the coasters here have a steep drop.
Yeah.... because steep drops are scary. Hence the title of the video
My back hurts just from watching the El Toro clip. Wooden rollercoasters are painful!! Hahaha
Actually, my spleen just fell out....
@@conkeitime all good choices!
Prayers of comfort and peace for you and your family 🙏
El Toro ride is such an amazing ride the only problem is that the wind hits so damn hard your neck end up in serious amount of pain they should really change the seating because your upper body has cero support so it makes the discomfort a lot worse. But it’s An amazing ride!.
I don’t know much about roller coasters but at 0:35 i was like WHERE ARE THE RAILS?!
Ive been to the six flags with the goliath. SO MUCH FUN
Lucky you
there are seven damn coasters at six flags parks named goliath
san antonio
magic mountain
5 others
Sees nail pop off
Me:(chuckles) I'm in danger
the best part of a rollercoaster is when it goes straight down
Wow I never seen an older wooden coaster go upside down (ie. Ghostrider at Knotts Berry Farm, Colossus at Six Flags Magic Mountain etc)
Its a hybrid so it has steel track and wood supports while the wood coasters that you named have a wood track with a thin steel layer on top of the wood
Ha... X2 is more extreme than everything
big facts x2 is extreme
Yeah also skyrush is absent too
Accurate.
#3 is the best of this video
It is not the scariest I have went to Europe in one amusement park, in that park the coaster was the most scariest😢😢😢,, the vertical drop was so deep😱😱😱😱
crafty dream world where?
It’s at Alton towers I sent it and it’s called oblivion isent it
Oblivion is a scary ride. I go to Alton Towers a lot and it’s the only ride there that makes me scared
CuzVScuz Gaming
Bruh Oblivion is nothing lmao.
Most notably Valravn (might not have spelled that right so feel free to correct me) And Yukon striker have much better, longer drops with more airtime. Also, Oblivion Technically doesn't have a vertical drop as the wheels are not spring loaded.
Is sky scream the original? Because I know there’s duplicates at sea world san diego and both busch gardens
No there are multiple clones of 3 at many parks especially sea world parks
What's the name of the song used please? Good video
Every coaster is scary or the proper term ”thrilling” in different ways
Like speed height rough or smooth floorless, so you need to go into a TYPE for it to make sense. Thanks
Music killed it
Song please??
Calon White did you ever find it?
Type free electro music and then search
The music is making my brain melt
Totally GP but El toro and 305 are actually really good
Edit: Sky Scream is really fun but not intense, Goliath is intense but too short, and Kingda Ka is just... We all know Top Thrill CUBSTER is better.
I haven’t been on Kingda Ka, but I’ve heard it’s not even worth it because of the shoulder restraints.
sky scream is also at busch gardens Williamsburg its called temptesto
Imagine being scared
Definitely can’t rela-ok that’s a lie
ahhhh!!!!!!! the music is scary
There is nothing "scary" about roller coasters. They are fun! The name of this video should be changed to top 5 most fun roller coasters.
only #1 and #2 should really be considered "scary". the others were very measly.
If it’s most fun then dragster should be on this list instead of ka
Ayyy #5 in da home park
Hm, interesting. They dont look scary
mister b lmao u kiddin right😂😂
@@joannabazan4123 the coasters in the Video are actually not, there are scarier ones
bucket hat 64 I thought of a top ten into watching this and Kingda Ka and Intimidator were on that list.
@@beckettherbert6544 there are better coastes
Kingda Kas only scary bit is the launch however el toro and intimadator 305 are pretty Scary throughout due to extremely forceful elements and great airtmie on el toro
