    We love our 2018 Denali HD. Our rig is 14000 loaded and we travel the mountains through Montana, Monida Pass and through California to San Diego.. Tow haul mode, engine brake and cruise control and no problems whatsoever. Awesome truck!!

    Please review a gas powered 3/4 ton version of this truck. Many of us can’t justify the expense of a diesel for vacations and weekend trips and are pulling trailers that are just over the legitimate capabilities of a 1/2 ton.

    I like that they finally moved the def tank and put in a decent back seat with air vents. I went with a 2019 F350 just because of the afore mentioned issues.

    We just purchased this truck but a 2019 year model. Love the truck but with 20” wheels and Goodyear 265 tires, from the start the ride was shimmying at 65 mph. Took back to the dealer and they exchanged the two front tires, out of round sitting on the lot. It helped but still have some shimmying we feel from the bed area, back tires. Will take it back in after 500 miles and see what they say. Was your ride smooth in the 2020 model or maybe we just need to drive it more to break it in. We’re not expecting it to ride like a car but it’s pretty tight suspension, but we love the truck, same color as the one you are in. Thanks BTBRV, we enjoy your videos and have been to Corpus many times.

    Are you still in the Jackson Hole area? We just pulled our 5th wheel in today. I am towing about 12,000 pound 5th wheel with a 2017 F350 platinum SRW and it has always been a great experience through the mountain passes. My question is how safe would this tow through the Teton pass or a 10% grade? I towed this through 7% grades through Idaho without concern but I went 30 minutes out of my way to avoid the Teton pass as I had a white knuckle experience a few years ago. Back then, I was towing 7000 lbs conventional trailer with a Toyota tundra and it was my first time into Jackson. I had no idea I was going to hit a 10% grade until I had the gas pedal on the floor and was going 30 MPH up hill. Then, on the way down, I was manually down shifting the truck to control the speed and still overheated the brakes with the traffic in front of me.

      In my opinion you shouldn't have any issues with your setup so long as you have the exhaust brake on and your truck has been kept up with from a maintenance and coolant perspective.

    Why does the gmc have markers above the wheel wells but the chevy doesn’t?

  • @jaybrown8709
    @jaybrown8709 5 лет назад

    Don’t buy the new 2020 gmc or Chevy diesel if you snow Plow. I bought a 3500 denali with snow Plow prep. The first time plowing I get a check engine light apparently the slow Plow blocks so air flow sensor and turns on the light which puts it in a limp mode which enables possibly the lower but also the remote starter. So now I have a diesel in winter I can’t remote start. Also I had to take off the tailgate to put in a salter. GM doesn’t have any plugs like the used to to block off the power tailgate wires and the back up camera wires. So I had to tape them so they don’t corrode with the salt here. The big kicker is because I unplugged these which is common on a Plow truck the entire camera system now doesn’t work. These are 2 things I bought the Denali for. Gm can’t and won’t fix either issue and I have a fleet of trucks from Gm. Looks like I’ll have to go to ford. Also the 2020 Allison transmission isn’t an Allison. False advertising

    The interior, and especially the nav screen is a decade behind Ford RAM. Perhaps GM is holding back with a WOW interior waiting for the next major revision. But a Nav screen like this on a truck of this price is so very sad.

    • @dedalliance1
      @dedalliance1 5 лет назад +3

      It works just fine though, if you're that blind and need a huge screen you probably shouldn't be driving lol. 20 years ago your nav screen was a map. I think people need to just slow down and enjoy the little things in life.

    • @mybro727
      @mybro727 5 лет назад +1

      Cam Rodger right and in 2025 we’ll all be demanding 22-inch infotainment screens because 12 inch screens will then be “...a decade behind the [insert name of pickup with 22” screen]”. Lol.
      When GM updates their interiors in 2021, I REALLY hope they don’t allow these RAM comments to get to their heads too bad and cause them to OVER-DO the size of the infotainment screen. An 11” or 12” screen that’s horizontally integrated and nearly bezel-less will do. Please GM, leave the tacky vertical design to RAM.

    They are all worth taking a look at but at the prices they want? These truck companies are pushing the average working man out of a new purchase. They are going to get a 2 year old truck for $18K less and it's still ridiculous in price especially since they are designed to hopefully go 200K miles if your lucky.

    👋🏻Florida ☀️🌴🇺🇸 GM IS JUNK. very recent fuel pump issues with shavings . And as usual won’t admit it . GM has to be forced to recall any issues. Stay focused on reliability LONG term of Engine and Transmission. Wanna waste money on looks. Get it. Lease for 3 years and turn them in and their ok. Long term is the issues. How many miles reliability for cost of truck are you happy with and expect is the question. Do your research ! If Ford had a Allison or Aison Transmission with their 6.7 Diesal Engine would put them even further in lead of Diesal Trucks. JMO Wish Toyota would bring their Diesal to US Market.
