    So glad to see that you are doing this. I had a suspension upgrade on my 2007 but have not done one on my 2018. Came across the BT Moto reflash. A little apprehensive about working with someone that I have no experience with. I feel that I know you or at least trust what you say. I'll be ordering this from you.

    Man it’s about time someone came out with a way to flash the ECU . the previous Goldwings you could send your ECU to Pennsylvania to a shop and get it flashed and I did and it made a nice improvement and got rid of the odd throttle studder on the low end

      @@Traxxion actually the company who flashed the previous addition of Goldwings ( mine was a 2015) was not a “ dude in a garage” it was a motorcycle race tech company who built stuff for road racers and they all had Goldwing’s so they figured out, just like they did for so many other brands of bikes that people raced, how to make their own Goldwing’s run better, mine sure does! Glad a new company has finally decided Goldwings are important enough to do an upgrade!! This new company sounds great!

    Thank you for this. Great info. To be honest, I see no issues with my DCT. I will never reach these speeds, here in NJ. NEVER, even if I want to. Touring Mode is perfect for HWYs and the Sport is wayyyyyyyyy magical. I mean a rocket!!! This might be great for guys who own or owned a Sport bike and moved to the wing, which is a Touring machine....LOL. Good luck with it. No value for me and I had plenty of all bikes. God bless.

    • @Traxxion

      It does smooth out the throttle response in Tour and Sport modes so it's not so jerky. So even if you don't run high speeds, you can still benefit.

      @@TraxxionWhile BT-Moto’s website does say it leaves Econ and Rain modes as factory, the bullet point right before that states:
      “Revised throttle limitations to so 100% throttle gives full 100% torque in every gear and every mode for a lively engine experience. Which works in a case of emergency needing to get out of the way of a vehicle and not being stuck in 30% throttle at full 100% twist”
      While I haven’t done the mod yet, this does sound like it changes how full throttle responds in all 4 modes, while still limiting throttle when not at 100%.

    BT Moto is legit. I did it on my S1000RR, night/day difference. Im just hoping I can use the flasher from that purchase to just flash my wing. Not sure how Honda does it. But anytime the software is updated on my BMW. I have to pay bt moto another $200 for a new flash, also note that if I didnt return the flash to the original stock before the update, bt moto charges $150 re-licensing fee on top of the $200. Again I dont know if Honda ever updates their software on these bikes. So take that with a grain of salt.

      You will never find a single person on Earth who has had the ECU on a motorcycle reflashed that had their warranty voided. Reflashing ECUs is an entire industry for sport bikes. Never voids the warranty, ever. If this was a problem, everyone would know.

      @@Traxxion All re-flashes are aftermarket and intended for race use only (not offered by dealers). All companies that do re-flashes have a disclaimer for that. To answer your question, YES it will void your warranty. However depending on who you flash your ECU with, you can put it back to stock if you ever have an issue and take it back to the dealership without them knowing it was ever re-flashed.

    Would this disable the "learning" section that seems to need the dct reset every few months to regain some of the bikes smoothness?

    • @jftuvell
      @jftuvell 3 месяца назад +1

      I flashed my ‘23 DCT Tour about 3 weeks ago. I’m very happy with the results. One of the things BT-Moto recommended (and provided the simple instructions on how to do it) was a DCT reset. I’m assuming they recommended it so that the bike would immediately be learning with the new engine characteristics. The bike was great before; it’s amazing now! Everything is better about smoothness, overall power and torque. Not to mention no speed limiter! I’d be very surprised if BT-Moto did anything to “dumb down” the DCT.

      Good morning Max.
      I agree. Most of us just want a little more control over the throttle response and improved suspension settings. Btw, thank you for all you have done. Especially for the Goldwing community.
      That said, uncorking a Wing would be pretty damn fun.

      BMW would give you shit for a flash if you tried getting warranty work (ask me how I know). This is an easy fix, if you need to take it to a dealer for warranty work, flash it back to stock first. Otherwise enjoy the superior software

    • @sharober
      @sharober 3 месяца назад +2

      It doesn't void the warranty. I've had this tune since February and when I went to the dealer for the fuel pump recall, they performed a diagnsostic and never said a word. If you're worried, you can always put the stock tune back in place before a dealer visit.
