    12:40 well, since you asked for a correction…
    Patrols spawn ever X seconds, they spawn ~200 m away from a player in the direction from a random outpost, so if you draw a line from you to each active outpost on the map, you will see a patrol appear 200m away from 1 player, marching toward that player. X is determined by mission difficulty, number of outposts destroyed past 50%, and primary objective completion. The biggest increase to patrols are primary objective, reducing X to 1/4, aka 4 times the patrols spawning in. This is already happeneing before you call in extraction.
    Now here is the fun part, if there are 0 bases left on the map, then pattols will always appear on the nearest edge of the map to the player they are targetting. Additionally, there is a 75 m “dead zone” around every player where patrols are not allowed to spawn so they do not appear on top of a player. If there are 0 outposts remaining and all players are within 75m of the edge or the map, or have their space to the edge of the map covered by another player’s dead zone, no patrols will appear.
    So, it you are extracting, look at the outposts. Set up your defenses in the direction of the remaining outposts, or towards the nearest edge of the map if no outposts remain, assuming extract is not close enough to the edge to activate “patrol bug” and stop patrols altogether.

    I hope y'all enjoyed this match. I felt bad about publishin something below helldive, but since I had already sunk 15 hours into editing this thing before I noticed, and I still think it's a great match to demonstrate teamplay, figured I would rather show y'all this than delay publishing a new video. I hope y'all can see through this video, that primary weapons work best when you go into a mission with a plan on how you will use them. Even a "C" tier weapon like the punisher plasma can do crazy amounts of work in the right loadout.
    Edit: This build still works great on the updated balance patch. No changes are needed.

    • @KaliFortuna
      @KaliFortuna 4 месяца назад +4

      Works for me, I’m not a Helldive purist lol.
      With primary weapons, like all parts of a loadout, I think top consideration should go to the thought of “what do I need this to do?” For the plasma punisher, I like to run it with an AMR build because I’m most concerned about a squad of chainsaws running up on me and ruining my position and/or taking all my stun grenades.
      With an autocannon build, I prefer the DCS primary for handling bot troopers non-explosively, and sniping heads when the AC would take too many shots to handle the target. In both cases, I’m looking at filling the gaps my strat weapon leaves unfilled.

      Im level 60 and I mainly play on Level 7 difficulty so all good. For me, it's the best sweet spot. Thanks for the vid. I'll definitely try this loadout. I usually run the punisher plasma with the Quasar Cannon.

    • @etuanno
      @etuanno 4 месяца назад +1

      @@Grey_fox12 Against bots, the laser cannon is amazing. I mainly run it with the shield generator. That way you can face the bots without getting staggered.
      So basically I run eagle airstrike, laser cannon, personal shield generator and then I have one slot left for whatever I usually run either railcannon strike or orbital laser.
      As for primary I mostly use the Jar-5 dominator.
      Against bugs I can *highly* recommend the gas strike, the cooldown is very low. Then I run a shotgun and Guard Dog Rover and Quasar along with stun grenades for the chargers and grenade pistol for bug holes. Once again, 4th strategem is up to your preference.

I didn't like fighting bots because I just couldn't figure out how not to get swarmed and die all the time. I'm now running grenade launcher, plasma punisher, and supply backpack, this has improved my survivability with bots 1000%. Not only that but I've been paying more attention to my cover and choke points. When I can find the right spot, man, this combo just flattens whole squads of bots effortlessly. Again, thank you SO MUCH!

    Big big gratz on 1.3K subs (at the time of writing this). Regarding armor choices, dunno if you've watched Eravin's armor guide video but turns out that extra padding is worth more than explosive resistance vs automatons. Argument can be made that explosive resistance can be worth more if you're using Plasma Punisher in melee range or you have team-mates with friendly fire aim enabled.
    Regardless of this, I still run heavy medic because I like the headshot damage reduction and being able to sprint at full stamina for the most possible time.
    Good video, really liked the teamwork in this one, GG!

    My personal new go to build against bots is as follows :
    => For armor, i run the heavy Grenadier armor, which is the only one with engineering kit
    => Scorcher as primary, grenade pistol as secondary, stun grenades as grenades
    => For stratagems, i use AMR, supply pack, orbital rail canon and eagle air strike
    Basically how it works is i can use the AMR as an AC like weapon, it does more damage on non armored targets, and about half the AC damage on armored ones. They both share the medium II armor penetration trait, which means devastators and walkers are a complete joke against any of them. The supply pack allows me to use the AMR a lot more, as i get ammo from it, but also ammo for my main and secondary as well as grenades and stims. This allows to kill every single ennemy on the bot side except for drop ships, unless i can't reach certain ones weak points (which includes towers and tanks mostly). That's why the Scorcher is important, as it allows a quick ending blow on those heavily armored targets from the side, thanks to its AoE blast. The supply pack also allows for way more survivability in areas covered by a stratagem disturber, which are almost garanteed at 7+ difficulty. And since i run heavy armor, i can get away with not using the shield back pack and not get overwhelmed as it's more about smart cover and flanks against bot, more so than running around (and away) like with bugs. And if a crowd of berserkers gets to close, i just go Eagle airstike + stun grenade and get away.

    This build looks very good. I don’t know why I never thought of using Plasma Punisher with the Laser Cannon. Precision Strike with Airstrikes is also what I would use on Helldive bots if possible because you can basically insta-kill a Factory Strider with both stratagems and also have something for destroying detector towers and research facilities.
    The one thing I don’t like as much about this build is that you’re highly reliant on stratagems to clear objectives since you have no handheld explosives, but then again Precision Strike should be able to alleviate this issue to some extent since it doesn’t use Eagle charges and has a fairly short cooldown.

    • @CommissarKai
      @CommissarKai  4 месяца назад +4

      My logic was that I didn't need the ability to destroy fabs with my weapons because I would mostly be around at least one team mate, but it's an easy fix to make it work against fabs as well.
      Just swap the senator for the grenade pistol. That's what I do in my solo runs and it still works great. Just be careful not to blow yourself up if one of those jetpack jerks jumps in close to you!

    • @dunadan7136
      @dunadan7136 4 месяца назад

      @@CommissarKai
      I like having handheld explosives because sometimes jammers have fabs next to them, having them means I can destroy jammers without necessarily having to reach the terminal to shut it down first, but then again making a build for yourself is a matter of making compromises so it's ultimately choosing what you value the most
      While we're at the topic of builds, you can try this one:
      - Engineering Kit armour
      - Scorcher
      - Senator
      - Stun Grenades
      - Grenade Launcher
      - Supply Pack
      - Orbital Precision Strike
      - Eagle Airstrikes
      Scorcher and Senator is for most enemies. Scorcher is also for gunships which can easily hover out of range of your GL. GL is for groups of fodder and mediums and supply pack to keep it fed. These 3 weapons cannot so easily take out the heavies which is what the other parts of the build are designed to do.
      Eagle Airstrikes need no lengthy introduction. These can kill basically anything on the bot front except for some objectives and gunships and you get 3 charges with a very reasonable cooldown time. Precision Strike is thus for most of those objectives that Airstrikes cannot damage or kill. You can even use it as a Hellbomb substitute for the Stratagem Jammer which makes things significantly easier. Since it is also an orbital, it can be used when Eagles are unavailable and can be called at the same time as Airstrikes to insta kill a Factory Strider. Alternatively, you can use it on light outposts and even some medium outposts without needing to worry about Eagle rearming.

    main benefit of the lascannon is that there's no projectile-speed.
    main downside (other than the laser uptime) is that the thing resists being aimed and wobbles around a heck of a lot for a glorified laser pointer with one of the worst sight and muzzle-hider systems in history.
    i;'d much prefer a simple red-dot plus a flash hider/blind to reduce some of the obnoxiousness of using the damned thing.
    in the end i still prefer the AMR 95% of the time (just not when shooting at gunships)

    So, IMO. The Punisher plazma is GOAT on the bot front, I'm trying to like the Purifier with the better ammo economy but NOT being able to shoot over cover is a big negative. Get time on trigger and see how it's pretty amazing.
    TTK is higher than the Scorcher, CS or JAR but smaller bots and walkers are often a AOE one shot. It can kill hulks/tanks/turrets from behind. If you're under a bot drop, it can AOE the cargo. Vs the AT/AT, it's equivalent to a fistfull of wet pasta BUT you can keep the Devastators pinned under the factory and leave them in pile within a few hits.
    Laser and jump pack is meta IMO. But really, supply pack and AMR are ideal here. The PP is a WHORE for ammo and it's a scarce find on the ground T-7 and up so if you're going to sport a pack, may as well sling an AMR. ONE patrol wave in between POI and you can be out of ammo and useless, so the supply pack is key.
    The AMR also helps with PP ammo as a swap to it for heavier enemies makes a lot of sense.

      I am reasonably certain that the purifier does NOT benefit from the medium penetration it's supposed to have, likely due to some spaghetti code. Once that gets fixed, It's gonna be a BEAST of a weapon. It's just doing less damage than it is supposed to.

    • @ConAnd81
      @ConAnd81 4 месяца назад +1

      I'd say it will depend a lot on how safe/competent you feel at the difficulty you're playing. I also brought a defensive backpack a lot in the beginning, but later, I got more used to the situations you find yourself in. Now, I rarely get myself into unnecessary trouble, and if I do, I rarely panic and try to retreat to a more defensive position, if possible. So I feel I don't really need a defensive stratagem anymore and I think I'm better off for it, having another offensive stratagem can be seriously clutch.
      But, I have 350h in the game, probably took me about 200h+ for me to feel safe enough to drop the shield all together against bots. But I'm a pretty average player, some true mad lads probably never used the shield and some probably are still rocking it after 500h in the game, not to say any of those scenarios mean much in relation to my skill, I'd say both are valid... what I think I'm trying to say is, play the game how you want, meta-build or not, most important thing is that you have fun. I kind of feel a bit sad for the people that take the game so seriously that they start kicking people that have the "wrong gear."
      But, if you show up rocking a Mortar, 380mm Barrage, Airburst Rocket Launcher AND Minefield, amongst randoms, you def deserves to get kicked. Because now you're having fun at others expense, which isn't fun at all. ;)

    • @CommissarKai
      @CommissarKai  4 месяца назад

      I have a simple formula for bots when it comes to defenses. If I want to use light armor, I bring a shield pack. For medium, I'll bring one with the fortified perk (50% resistance to explosions) or medic armor for the extra stim duration. Any heavy armor is going to work pretty well against the bots, you just have to get used to moving slower than you are used to. But since you're just moving from cover to cover anyway, the loss of speed isn't that bad.

    you can ALMOST arcgun under-charge it but even then it's still woeful in the RoF for results rendered. Main benefit remains the total damage by ammo capacity but 50% of that's likely going to waste after something jumps in your face and you have nothing to protect yourself (stuns are limited, secondaries vary).
