I carry the G26. As a non military ambidextrous female, I really wanted simple all around. No fancy things to remember. No external safety. Okay to shoot no matter which hand was drawing. And yes, I carry chambered and no, I haven’t had an accidental discharge yet. Thanks, Mr Glover. Love the info you provide in all areas.
@@justjoe5957 My sheriff deputy son took my original Glock 27 as his off duty weapon when I switched to the G26. The .40 cal was harder for me to use, I kept pinching my fingers racking the slide and I did better with the 9mm version. I recently picked up a Mossberg MC1 single stack 9mm which I like very much also. Not sure about long term reliability but it’s small, easy to conceal, and very lightweight.
I concealed carried a G22 for 20 years and last year bought a G19 for my wife to carry after we got married. I have since purchased another one for myself. Great gun.
Totally agree. I have had my Gen 2, G19 since 1990 and it has jammed less then 5 times in all the years of practice and concealed carry. I have never felt the need to "upgrade" to a newer model as my Gen 2 fits me fine and I can shoot it without problems. I added some Trijicon night sights and the M*Carbo spring kit and that's it!
I enjoyed your comments on the Glock 19. My EDC as L/E for 30 years was a 1911. It was in 45 acp. My son retired from L/E & convinced me to change to the 9mm. As a result, I selected a Glock 19. Also I read Chuck Taylor’s article of one he put 365000 rounds through. Truly a wonderful sidearm. I will carry as you suggest. Thank you for your comments on your video.
I started out with a px4 storm , beretta 92 then got rid of them and got a glock 17. I have a wife and two children ,when my daughter was born I got rid of my other pistols and bought my glock 17. The simplicity and reliability are invaluable. I’ve been watching your channel for a year now and finally got my wife to start watching a video or two on being prepared to protect our children if needed. Keep up the good work mike , and thanks for all the awesome advise !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I like my Glock because of how easy it is to completely disassemble when needed. Minimal parts leans itself towards increased reliability. Durable and proven design.
Agreed!! Not to mention there is probably more G19/G17 magazines out in the wild in a survival situation too. I love the 1911 but for survival it’s Glock hands down.
@@shootingitwiththesarge Glock hires a lot of former military. In fact, the VP of Glock is a former Recon Marine Officer. Served with him back in the mid/late 1980’s.
I was a die hard Sig guy, carried the P226 for years and then the P320 XCarry. One day I tried the G19 and once I got used to the grip angle it was hard not to admit that the bore axis was a game changer with Glock and the backstraps for the gen 4 as well. I was faster and more accurate and didn't have near the issue getting holsters and support gear. Long story short I love my Sigs but there is always a G19 or G26 in my pants now a days and I preach that to my students. I always finish with "Is there anything wrong with a S&W or something else? No it's just wrong for me and my situation and everyone has to make that choice."
Seriously appreciate your in depth detailed explanation! I strongly believe learning how to handle a gun the correct way is super beneficial! Thanks so much,Mike Glover
Have carried a G17 on duty for 20 years. Bought a G43 for off duty, only use it at the range. Not a fan of the single stack. I prefer to carry my G27 off duty with G22 mags everywhere!!! Thinking about grabbing the G19 or 19X.
Good Morning Mike, Along with many, many folks, I thank God for you and for your excellent content! Just watched your interview with Shawn Ryan. Fascinating!! Thank you for your comments on the G19. I've recently returned to the 19 (and 43x) from the M&P Shield. Overall, the weight difference was a factor for me. And of course, the unparalleled reliability is a huge plus.
I'm carrying the G45 in 9mm. Same size slide and barrel as the G19 and same size grip and capacity as the G17. The G45 fits my hand perfectly which relates to better control over the firearm and more confidence. Carrying in a sticky holster usually at 5 o'clock is most comfortable but have better and quicker access appendix carry.
Glock 27 here with G22 spare mags. I carry this over my G43. Not a fan of the single stack. Bought a couple ETS mags for it, however not comfortable carrying anything but Glock mags. So I carry my G27 everywhere!
Of all the carry pistols I have fired my favorite is the Sig Sauer P365. My only complaint about it is the proprietary rail system. But other than that. Basically same size as a S&W Shield or Glock 43 but with a factory extended mag you can carry 15 round if you need or 12 with a more flush fitting mag. Trigger is great on it as well. Also, comes from the factory with night sights which is a plus.
74 year old Vet, been carrying since I got out, my present carry are Glock 19, Glock 23, and Glock 27,,also have 9mm conversion barrels for the 23 and 27,,a little cheaper than 40's for practice and still train, Always said if you don't know how to use it, Don't carry it. Keep up the good work that you do. Even us old dogs can learn new tricks.
I'd have to agree about every aspect of the g19 especially the simplicity. However, I carry the m2.0c 4" instead when I'm not carrying my p365xl. I get major slide bite from glocks so I have to use a modified beavetail backstrap which in turns makes a bulky grip bulkier. I also ride the slide release lever causing the slide to lock back prematurely. I have made a "custom" slide release lever so I do not engage it. With all that being said a stock m2.0 compact gets the job done without any extra modifications so I went that route.
Been carrying G19 since 2006 . I've tried quite a few different handguns over the years but always came back to G19 . The G43x I've been carrying a lot recently. This might be the handgun that makes me retire the G19. The size of the G19 is absolutely perfect . I don't know who said the quote but it's so true about the G19 . Saying is. Big enough to fight with and small enough to carry .
It came down to 43X and P365XL for me. I ended up going with the Sig because of longer barrel, longer sight radius, better standard capacity, and pre-milled for red dot. Both are said to be equally reliable.
@@semajniffirg230 ^this. I carried a 27 for a while back when my duty pistol was a 22, and bought a 23 (.40 cal 19 size frame for those not in the know) just for funsies... I really didn’t notice the difference in carrying the 27 vs 23 so I sold the 27. I made the transition to 9mm when I bought the 43 and decided to consolidate calibers so I sold the 23 and got myself a gen4 factory OD green 19. I’ll never sell it. I carry it appendix everyday.
Sounds like a recommendation for any striker fired G19 sized pistol, such as the Smith & Wesson M&P9c M2.0, CZ P-10C, Sig P320C, H&K VP9, FN 509C, Walther PPQ...and the list goes on. All reliable, same action type, same size. And those are all more ready-to-go out of the box than a Glock, which is in immediate need of better sights and trigger. Yes, they have less aftermarket support but also need less aftermarket support.
I have a M&P 2.0 compact that I have had since shortly after its release that I have thousands (5k+) of rounds through and I have not had a single malfunction related to the gun. Saying its reliable would be an understatement. The only thing I have changed were the sights which I changed to some TFX pro sights.
I agree 100% I carry a Steyr M9 A2 daily and feel it is superior to the Glock in almost every way except for one critical area, that being aftermarket support.just about every company that makes firearm related products makes something for Glock pistols. I believe that is the biggest advantage to choosing the Glock over any other edc pistol. If I could only afford one pistol for self defense it would be a Glock because with all the aftermarket support out there for it
@@bulabroha His Mike Force podcast where he addressed the topic of EDC firearms and that he carries the P320 X-Carry in centerline appendix carry was four days ago. I guess the Sig won the day.
I’m a huge fan of Glock and that’s all I’ve really ran with, but recently I got my hands on a CZ p10C and I’m loving it so far. I have to say I think CZ did a outstanding job with the P10C. To me it’s a upgraded Glock 19 and 17 put together.
I tend to agree. I ran glock for a while then I got my p10c, running it for about 4 years. Dead reliable have a p10F great gun. I shoot it best out of everything unless it’s a good 1911. Compared my stock p10 triggers to a modified glock triggers it’s nicer. Everything I wish glock would build, but they don’t. I have had a shadow systems loved it will probably get another one. Glocks are great for parts availability. This is true. But my cz don’t need to be fixed and the barrel/ lugs and frame is definitely more beefy than a glocks. It’s nato rated so it’s very reliable.
Outstanding. Hats off to you Much respect. My edc is the Smith n Wesson EZ shield 9mm. My go to shtf is a glock 19. These damn YT adds are getting on my nerves. I miss the good ol days when I could wach a video without any comercials.
Very good video. When I turned 70 years of age several years ago, I decided it was time to change my carry pistol from a 1911 platform with manual safety and grip safety to a stricter fired pistol. As you state in this video, a stricker fired pistol is easy to operate. As one ages, he/she must accept the fact that their memory is not as sharp as it once was and that one needs to simplify every day actions if they can. My favorite Glock pistol is the Glock 30S. This is a soft shooting pistol, and the size falls between the Glock 26 and Glock 19. I normally carry a Glock 19 from October through March and a Glock 26 from April through September due to my cloths selection for the various months/seasons. There has been some talk about my home state limiting magazine size to 10 rounds and this is the primary reason that I purchased a Glock 30S. If I am limited to only carrying a firearm with 10 rounds then the firearm is going to be a 45 acp.
I like the Clock but I carry a Sig p365 with a 15r magazine and one in the pipe! Love it! 7250 rounds with one failure to eject and 12 light primer strikes over 2 years of shooting! I'm sold🤙
I like them both, but I understand the angle issues for some. From a human kinetic standpoint, the Glock angle forces your tendons out which are the strongest part of the muscle, and to me, I feel like my grip is stronger with less actual effort. Stay safe out there. 🤙🏻
@@terryclinard9031 you’re so right. That ez9 really is a shooter. I heard someone say that you should pick a gun you can use on you’re worse day well. That gun certainly fits the bill.
I hated glocks grip angle for years. I had several rugers. Loved them, they served me well. But I got tired of no support, holsters and aftermarket upgrades suck for ruger pistols. So i bought a glock. After 1 week of dry fire practice everyday, the grip angle stopped bothering me. I am got used to it real quick. Always hated shooting my friends glocks at the range. Now it feels normal and other grip angles feel weird to me.
I carry a shield most of the time with a spare mag and sometimes I carry my G19 but it really is night and day difference with comfortability and printing comparing them being single vs double stack. G19 is definitely easier to shoot, higher capacity, arguably more reliable, and has a light/laser ( my shield doesnt) but I heard someone once say get something that's comfortable because you'll carry that more and that's 100% accurate with me because I generally carry my shield with it being so much more comfortable and concealable where I dont worry as much about printing so I always have that on me. But I do worry about not having enough ammo if I get into a shootout where my G19 I can carry 33rd mags in the truck for backup and have 16 in the gun.. shield is 7+1.. I'm done ranting
I am a bigger dude, and was getting blood blisters during reload drills under stress with my Gen4 G19. I train, shoot and run reload drills several times each week as if my life depends on them, as they might one day. I sold my Gen4 G19 for a Gen5 G17 with front serrations. I have never looked back. It has the same 3.5' ghost trigger connecter that I bought for the G19. It breaks like absolute glass now with no overtravel or creep whatsoever.
Excellent video! Just purchased a 43x. And you're right, it's about how comfortable that weapon sits in your hand. 43x is just a more concealable option for me. Thanks for the master class.👍
I have a Gen 4 Glock 19 that “was” my favorite handgun ever. I also have a Sig Sauer P365XL and a Glock 43X that has been modified extensively with a tungsten reduced power guide rod, a 3.5 lb connector, an Apex trigger, and a Hogue grip sleeve (and a few other that don’t affect shoot ability), and I’m running Shield S-15 mags. I’m not a small guy (6’5 and about 235), but I also don’t have huge hands. The 43X just fits my hand perfectly, and I’d have to say it’s my #1 right now. It feels like my 19, only better.
I agree with you 100% as a retired law Enforcement firearms instructor i have several EDC firearms in my rotation, if I could only keep one to go to war with, it would be my 30 year old Gen 2 Glock 22. at least 30k rounds though it training in the rain, snow and mud with our special operations group she never had a hiccup ...
I love what you do Mike, i carried a beretta m9 as my side arm in military. I personally went to the Px4 Storm. I heard that that went to th sigs now adays.
I’m 69 and I just bought my first pistol. Went with the G19 for reasons mentioned. Almost chose G26 just in case I decided to carry. My officer son convinced me to go with the 19. He often carries one. He also carries the 26 when he is in plain clothes.
Was planning to make G19 my next carry gun when 19x and then G45 came out. Went with the g45 and love it. Next up will be 43x with shield arms 15 round steel mags. I went ahead and ordered about a dozen and don’t even own the gun yet. But if 10 round limits come I’ll be set.

i beg to disagree respectfully my friend. Let me give you a scenario. Youve got your lever action winchester deer rifle loaded, chambered, and by chance hammer drawn back. Someone has chucked it in a soft case for you at camp and set it on your back seat. What happens when your kids go to play about in the back seat? There is every chance that if they knock that hammer the right way that it will fire a round. At the end of the day rule number 1 for me is always treat every firearm as if it was loaded until you know for certain it is not. I am a big believer that there is no such thing as a firearms accident. Just improper handling or ownership.
yes i know that no one in their right mind would leave a rifle laying about with a round chambered and hammer cocked back. my scenario caters for a hypothetical lowest common denominator
@@opwards I hear you. But like I said and you described, humans interacting with the firearm causes issues. Since the #1 rule is to treat them as if they are loaded, the easiest way to do that is to keep them loaded. My SD/HD pistols and rifle are loaded and have been for years. Finger location and muzzle location are everything.
I agree, Mike. About 6 years ago I bought a Glock 19 Gen4 to use as a backup to my HK P30. Ended up selling my HK and have been sold on Glock 19's and 43's ever since. Ran my Glock 19 Gen5 at your course up in Fort Worth, 400 + rounds, not one hiccup.
I got a 19x and glock 23 . Love them both . Definitely interested in the sig p365 xl . I got a couple friends that have them . Both great guns in my opinion. But glock has the best reputation to me . Find what you like buy it and train with it
Really like the 1st Gen Glock 17 but that has been just about it. Tried the 21 in a .45 a friend had and after 3 rounds I have it back to him. I have grown to like my fingers and knuckles quite a lot, so giving it back to him was a pleasure. Lol. I carried an old S&W Model 39A with a steel slide and aluminum frame with 8 round mags from the Vietnam era for 20 years. Still love it. Past few years my edc is a CZ75BD. I knew when I first wrapped my stubby ass fingers around the grip, this was it. I didn't care as much about the manufacturer as I did the comfort level. With short fingers it put many newer handguns out of running fairly quick back in 2016/17 when I was updating my edc.. I remember Walther PPQ, M&P Shield, and Springfield XD were in the top 5 as to what fit my hands better, and all were pretty good guns to boot. The Freedom Dispense Specialist who assisted me asked if I ever heard of a CZ75, which threw me off guard considering I only had read a lot about them, never even laid eyes on one personally. Well I had tried almost everything available here except this one. Well, I finally had a edc that wasn't made just one year after I was born.. lol Best wishes and congrats on the upcoming events!
I carry the gen4g26, with the 12 round mag, and a g17 spare mag. I'm a very skinny dude, so the slight difference in size does go along way for concealability! But if your a size 34 or above waist, the g19 is for sure the way to go!!
Smith and wesson m&p just feels better in my hand. I have a few thousand round through mine with no issues except some old ammo from the late 80s. The gun went bang but the case split and jammed the gun. And this happened a like 3 or 4 time out of 1000 round of that old stuff. Other then that ive had no issues.
I'm with you - M&P compact just under 4000 rounds 1 failure so far about 500 rounds ago. Same size, softer shooter, no slide bite, no Glock knuckle, better ergonomics, reliable as shit.
@@heeebeeegeeebeee If you do your research, the Glock grip angle is absolutely egonomic and repeatable. The 1911 angle and many others with the more upright wrist/fist angle is not natural and not repeatable. Using bone structure and the natural angle of the human hand when you point is where Glock got it's data for the angle they chose.
@@225degrees Yep - the Glock grip angle was designed around the bone alignment of the two knuckles forward punch - the original idea being that the gun would be used by people who were at least somewhat trained in fighting and would naturally point a gun the way they punch. I actually like the grip angle on the Glock a lot and it would be neat if more guns used it. Doesn't change anything I said above, about why I prefer the M&P 2.0 though, haha. I prefer guns that don't draw blood from my strong hand wrist when I shoot them. Call me crazy.
@@225degrees Slide bite. Some people get it with Glocks and other people don't. I find it hard to believe this is the first time you've heard about this. It's the reason that the Grip Force Adapter existed for the Gen 3 Glocks and it's also the reason Glock made the beavertail backstraps starting halfway through the Gen 4 lineup. It's a pretty well known phenomenon.
I carry a G19 Gen 5. It took thousands of rounds to get used to the ergo. I typically have a high grip (1911/2011/CZ shooter) and I would either engage the slide lock during a COF, or release the slide during a LRSO scenario--both events are bad during an engagement.
Tried, and tried to like a glock, used the M9 when I was in, was a great pistol but didn't like getting dirty, was considering the sig 365, but a buddy talked me into trying a Taurus G3, and I absolutely love it, if your confident in the firearm, and you can practice with it, become profecient with it, and that will be 85% of what you really need as a firearm owner, safeties aren't a bad thing, just know your firearm. Lots of respect to and for Mike and his opinions, and I can't argue with the glock fan presence. But there are many many great firearms out there.
First of all let me say thanks for sharing your experience and recommendation. Old habits die hard, I love the 1911 and have carried it for decades. I can shoot this platform better than anything else due to ergonomics, trigger, grip angle, and etc. Yes, I will concede that the manual safety muscle memory is critical and should be factored in. Due to age I wanted a lighter option and MRD capability so I got a G45 MOS. I added an upgraded trigger, RMR, and sights. Next I got a Shadow System MR920. Between these 2 guns last year I went through 4,000 rounds before I could shoot them at a level approaching the 1911. I am sure good trying would help and I am keeping my eyes open for your Basic Pistol Course in the DFW area. I recently moved to a 2011 platform and feel back at home again. Sine I only have several hundred rounds through it I am still carrying the MR 920 at 3:00 o'clock. I do not know if this old dog can do appendix. This troubles me because I truly value what you share.
Thanks Mike ! im about to go buy an EDC pistol, my xd 45 combat commander in 45 is a little big and too heavy ! to heavy you may ask, well the way i see it is that if I am out walking around and the wieght of the fucking gun is pullimg my pants down and making me look like a gang banger that is problematic as well because now it is no longer a secret to what I got in my pants and I have most likely compromised myself and my people so I really love all these types of video's you and Kevin and Shawn Ryan do because you keep it simple, you don't throw a bunch of military jargon in there to confuse the masses instead of educating them. I sincerely appreciate this and will pass the info along as well to anyone I know carrying. Also I am making a long range rifle course up here in Eastern Wa. It will have targets set in different places at different ranges and different scenarios so when its complete I will invite you guys up to check it out and hopefully give me the stamp of approval. I am making it because I am a professional fishing and hunting guide and I like to see my clients ability before i put them on a buck of a lifetime with one chane to make history for themselves and I don't like making that shot for them anymore because I have matured and I don't need the ego points anymore so if I can make sure there rifle shoots straight and is on the mark and I can teach them a thing or two before the moment of truth is upon us then I most likely have diverted a horrible embarrasing moment and created a client for life............thanks for all that you do Peace Fly
I own a Glock 19 and Glock 30S. I love both but I primarily EDC the 30S. I enjoy the thicker handle and carries plenty of .45s with its standard double stacked mags.
I carry either a G45 or G26. I have a G17 dedicated for home defense and I also carry the G23 with a conversion barrel same size of a G19. I've owned many different guns all of them great but I trust Glocks to protect my family.

I think you brought up 2 great points that people need to consider outside of which firearm you choose: hand size and holster placement. I'm thin (6'1" 140lbs), so carrying appendix is really the only way I can carry without printing; however, even so I need a holster that is specifically designed to tilt the handgun back into my body or the butt of the gun will stick out. To me, finding a holster that properly places the gun against my body is more important than the gun itself because without that feature I can't conceal anything at all. I run a Glock 48 (because it's much thinner than the 19... again, I'm skinny) with the Shield 15rd mag and am always looking for better holsters that position the gun better.
@@MrRolloBaggins Jesus Christ you skinny bitches lol. I’m 6’4 280lbs breathing hard like a Cummins diesel typing this message. Glock 19, Glock 30 and Smith Shield all the way!
As someone who doesn’t carry glocks. I have to agree with everything you said! I simply found a carry gun I trust as much that holds 15 rounds and is easier to conceal. It is still pretty simple but not nearly as simple as the Glock line.
I have Whopper Jr. Hands so most Glocks are a problem for me. I just got a Springfield Hellcat and I love it. Highly rec looking into it if you're a small handed human like me. Hellcat comes with an 11rd and 13rd mag (plus one in the chamber )which is 1 more than what the Sig P365 offers.
G19 and the Hellcat are my two favorites. For me the Hellcat is like a micro version of the G19. A bit more concealable when needed or back up (ankle gun).
@@3IN1SDG I can’t carry on the ankle. I haven’t found an ankle holster that I like that isn’t bulky as shit. I tried three different kinds, Galco, DeSantis, you name it. I switch back-and-forth between my hellcat and my 19. I like the 19, I find it actually pretty easy to carry, it’s just sometimes I like the smaller gun. And with the Hellcat being able to hold 14 rounds, you’re not really sacrificing much when downsizing from the 19.
@@3IN1SDG 100%. I’m honestly shocked at how many well-known or major Holster or Manufacturers don’t make holsters for it. It’s a real head scratcher. I’d love to see fieldcraft and tenicor make one
as a fat guy unable to appendix carry, you are the first person who has really explained the value of appendix carry. once I drop these lbs will probably appendix
Had a G43 for about a month. It jammed multiple times, slide wouldn't lock open, mags wouldn't feed. To many problems. I know you get Glock issued in the Army but we get SIG as standard issue. I pitched such a fit about the Glock I got a full value trade in credit and switched the P365XL and I absolutely love it!
@Whatever Yo! Yeah man, you're not wrong. The Glock fan girls aren't wrong either. I think there is way to much ammo Glock can't shoot. Why would you want something with so many limitations? I like to reload and I have never been able to get my reloads to feed properly through a Glock. I had a G19 Gen 4 and Gen 5. I have sold them both and replaced those the SIG M17 and I have never had an issue shooting reloads at the range. I am glad to see so much competition coming to Glock. They need to change. It's funny to me the Glock fan girls preach Glock and the first thing they do when they get a Glock is change the sights!
@Whatever Yo! Hahaha nah man just have to be patient with reloading. I am not super productive with it. I have an express loader for 45 ACP, 9MM and 5.56MM. I can load maybe 200 or so an hour when it gets going no jams or hold ups! Definitely cheaper but now with Beijing Biden in office I can't get primers or hardly powder anywhere! I don't reload any of my self defense rounds. If I did ever to use my firearm in a self defense situation they'd eat me alive for using handloads. They would paint a picture of me as someone who loaded up rounds hot just because I wanted to hurt someone. Just practice rounds at the range for my handloads. I carry the Sig 124gr V-crowns. I have had good luck with those!
I didn't over look it! My EDC with 507C GR X-2 and apex trigger. I've been running it for about 3 years now. I have many thousand rounds through it, very, very seldo have a problem. The few I have had, I blam on ammo, light strik no fire and one failure to feed. I was then shooting steel Tula ammo or either the lowest price for that week! To say the least, this gun is much more accurate then I am!! I'll be using this gun Aug. 7th for my first Field Craft guide class!
John Lovell did an episode where he demonstrated that regardless of the position of the muzzle it is going to be positioned in such a way that in the event of discharge you're gonna get maimed. He's an appendix proponent.
CZ P-10C is my go to now, used to carry a gen 3 G19. Basically a G19 with CZ erogonomics, striker fired as opposed to p07, nicer trigger than gen 4 and below. Gen 5 trigger is pretty good but I like the CZ reset, can shoot faster with this weapon system. Training and proficiency is key to all of it. No room for fun shooting, its all training now when you spend 15 bucks emptying the magazine, lol. Thanks for the vid Mike, love all that you and your company is doing! 🇺🇸
Hey Mike... I can appreciate where you come from on Glock. I watched your video over on FieldCraft about EDC Sig P320X Carry and it really spoke to me (no, I'm not hearing voices)... I watched that video several times and decided based on your assessment to go for it...! I don't mean to downplay anything you say about Glock, but I really love my Sig...!
I just got a Glock 19x. Great gun. No complaints as of yet. But I have to admit, when I look at it and hold it, I don’t feel like it would be a great conceal carry option. Much more apt to go get a Glock 43 now to satisfy that need.
I enjoyed having the 26 because I thought the smallness would be better for concealed carry. Then I got 2 P80s and loved them so much I got another 19 for edc. For anyone out there worried about the 1/2” size increase. Don’t worry about it.
I love Glocks but my EDC is a Diamondback DB9. It's very affordable and very carry-able IWB. The only drawback is that it is indeed very small so kickback has a profound affect on the next round feeding. Holding it very firmly as well as a cleaning and re-lubing it every 6 months or so is highly recommended. It jammed a few times when the girlfriend shot it but after she clamped down it would not.
Walther ppq. Imo it’s like a g19 with a better trigger, better sights, and better ergos out of box, and still has a track record of supreme reliability and durability.
Walt her isn’t bad but it’s not used by many governments maybe a dozen for the p99 and I think only Taiwan uses the ppq. Not as much of a track record as a Glock.
I'll trust the opinions of men who have actually hunted and killed other men for a living. If they choose Glock that says it all. If the Walther, S&W, etc, etc were better then they would carry them.
100% agree, I first EDC’d a Kimber Raptor Micro 9 then switched to a Sig p365, and finally ended up in a Glock 19 which has been my fav by far. Sig p365 is still great as it’s quite slim and compact for certain situations, but 99% of the time you’ll find me with my G19, recommend that to everyone for their first handgun whether they plan in concealing right away or not since it gives them the option down the road. I’m running a Gen5 with a Holosun 507c Red Dot, and a TLR7a in Trex Arms holsters. 🇺🇸
I carried a G23 for years. About the last year or so been carrying the G19 Gen 5 MOS with a Holosun HE508T-GR X2 and love it. I did switch out the trigger with an Apex 3.5. People can say what they want about Glocks. I myself , wouldn't carry anything else.
Glocks are the Toyota’s of guns they work when you need them to. They’re not flashy, they’re not super ergonomic with their grip angle but they are reliable, have parts everywhere and simple but proven engineering. When you pull the trigger it goes boom and that’s what counts when life is on the line.
because in the event someone is shooting at you, they can pinpoint your location of center vs holding out to the side you can still see and if they shoot at light probably will miss hand holding light..
@@graynotescartridgebox I am trained ARMY veteran and yes if you see a light and shoot at it, you will most likely hit target if weapon has light on it because of position the person holding gun with light. If you have a handheld light and your holding it at your side and up, if said person shoots he, if gets lucky will shoot only your hand and light not your torso or head. I don't know how that does not make sense to you.

Carried my G19 for 6 years. Then I got ahold of my G48, and ever since then the G19 stays on home defense duty and the G48 goes everywhere with me. Glock pistols are great. 25 years of owning, shooting and carrying them has convinced me. I trust them over all others.
The Glock actually has what is called a modified double action system. When you consider if a gun is double or single action it is not the trigger itself but what it does when you pull it. When you pull the trigger on a Glock, it does two things; draws the striker and then releases it.
Glock 26 is a great option as well!
Appreciate your perspective!
Love the G26. Pack the 19 usually. Carry it when I think it gets too lonely in the safe.
G26 is a great firearm. I carry 19 on duty and have 26 and 43 as my off duty. I will always carry glock because of the simplicity and reliability.
One year later he carry's a Sig and says how Glock doesn't fit his hand. Lol. Wonder how much Sig pays.
I enjoyed your comments on the Glock 19. My EDC as L/E for
30 years was a 1911. It was
in 45 acp. My son retired from
L/E & convinced me to change to
the 9mm. As a result, I selected
a Glock 19. Also I read Chuck
Taylor’s article of one he put 365000
rounds through. Truly a wonderful
sidearm. I will carry as you suggest.
Thank you for your comments on
your video.
I carry a 43x and love it. It fits my hand perfectly
My hand is YUGE. 19x for me 👍🏻🇺🇸
I like my Glock because of how easy it is to completely disassemble when needed.
Minimal parts leans itself towards increased reliability.
Durable and proven design.
Agreed. Taking apart the fire control unit on a P320 sucks! Get them full of sand my bet is on the Glock.
Agreed!! Not to mention there is probably more G19/G17 magazines out in the wild in a survival situation too. I love the 1911 but for survival it’s Glock hands down.
100% I love the 1911 but all around I’m a Glock guy.

I love my G27! Have had it for years and never lets me down! I also have multiple G27 and G22 mags for reloading! I am a Glock fanboy for sure!
Seriously appreciate your in depth detailed explanation! I strongly believe learning how to handle a gun the correct way is super beneficial! Thanks so much,Mike Glover
I second your opinion. I am a USMC combat veteran and current Sheriff Deputy. I have trusted my life to the G17 and G19 more times than I can count...
Have carried a G17 on duty for 20 years. Bought a G43 for off duty, only use it at the range. Not a fan of the single stack.
I prefer to carry my G27 off duty with G22 mags everywhere!!!
Thinking about grabbing the G19 or 19X.
Love Shawn Ryan’s EDC video but for someone new to this (me), this video was really informative and insightful. Thank you!
I shop in the men's department so I roll with a CZ PCR.
Just giving Glock folks a hard time. All the points made in the video are valid.
Good info Mike, I carry both the 19 and 43x with 15 round mags.
Simple is best for all EDC as well all emergency gear. Simple is reliable. Came to the same conclusion a couple years ago and bought a Glock 19.
Also, comes from the factory with night sights which is a plus.
most important thing you said, "what you are comfortable with", I am Browning HP guy , like you, alot experience with it. I run shoulder rig.
My edc S&W M&P 2.0 compact .40cal 180gr HP, "Made in America"!

My two favorite pistols are my m2.0 and 365xl. The xl (with Romeo Zero) is just replacing my 365. Great choices!
P365 all day, every day.
Great video. I’m sitting here at dinner with my 32 yr old Glock 19 carry appendix and it’s so comfortable I don’t know it’s here.
My edc is the Glock 23. I love it so damn much. I would've gotten the G19 but I just got a killer deal on the G23.
Lone wolf conversion barrels
Thanks Mike your the best we the people need all this info you put out here
Been carrying G19 since 2006 .
James Yeager
It came down to 43X and P365XL for me. I ended up going with the Sig because of longer barrel, longer sight radius, better standard capacity, and pre-milled for red dot. Both are said to be equally reliable.
I love the 19, but it’s a little too big for me. I carry the G 26 for the same simplicity is a 19, just fits my body a lot better
I agree with everything Mike said but its a Glock 27 for me and a Glock 26 for my wife. For EDC they can’t be beat. Reliable and simple.
I rock a 26 with a sidecar holster. Simple and works for me.

Thanks Mike I have big hands & love my Sig P365. Love your videos especially the home invasion analysis

I’m a huge fan of Glock and that’s all I’ve really ran with, but recently I got my hands on a CZ p10C and I’m loving it so far. I have to say I think CZ did a outstanding job with the P10C. To me it’s a upgraded Glock 19 and 17 put together.
And you'd be 100% correct !
Good choice
I like the Clock but I carry a Sig p365 with a 15r magazine and one in the pipe! Love it! 7250 rounds with one failure to eject and 12 light primer strikes over 2 years of shooting! I'm sold🤙
I carry either a M&P 2.0 compact or a shield. Not a fan of the grip angle on glocks.....bullet proof pistols just not my preference.
I'm with you. As I switched from a Glock 19 to the S&W M&P Shield EZ 2.0 . It's a great shooter and very comfortable concealed.

Holstered guns aren't pointed guns. The firearms rules apply when in the hands of humans.
Even some “professionals” (PA game commission cough cough) have a stupid habit of leaving their finger on the trigger when reholstering.
i beg to disagree respectfully my friend.
@@opwards now you are just talking about an unsecured locked and loaded condition 1 firearm just so happening to reside in a soft case.

I helped my Uncle build a cabin in Hebrew city which he still owns till this day. What a beautiful place.
@@heeebeeegeeebeee Not sure how you're getting cut...
Agreed 👍 💯 actually like the full size G3, reliability been 💯%!!!
I was on the fence between Glock 19 and G26 both gen 3 since I live in Kali. So after watching Mike, I ended up with Glock 19. Thank you!
Change the grip angle on your Shadow Systems..... comes with three grips, one grip mimics a 1911 angle.
I am making it because I am a professional fishing and hunting guide and I like to see my clients ability before i put them on a buck of a lifetime with one chane to make history for themselves and I don't like making that shot for them anymore because I have matured and I don't need the ego points anymore so if I can make sure there rifle shoots straight and is on the mark and I can teach them a thing or two before the moment of truth is upon us then I most likely have diverted a horrible embarrasing moment and created a client for life............thanks for all that you do
Peace Fly
I thought you just said a month ago Sig was your new EDC?
its a glock sig
Good points. I like the option of a 33 round magazine as well.
I have huge hands so I’m glad you uploaded this video.
If you have huge hands maybe consider going up the glock 17
I own a Glock 19 and Glock 30S. I love both but I primarily EDC the 30S. I enjoy the thicker handle and carries plenty of .45s with its standard double stacked mags.
I carry either a G45 or G26. I have a G17 dedicated for home defense and I also carry the G23 with a conversion barrel same size of a G19. I've owned many different guns all of them great but I trust Glocks to protect my family.
Hello super fans thanks for supporting ,we’ve notice your frequent comment and great support. So we’ve decided to surprise you. Do send us a message via my personal email mikeglovermch01@gmail.com we have something super for special fans. Thanks...
Great video.I Cary one of my g19s often.Love my g21 and 22 and 23 also.
I carry the Glock 19 every single day. That's it. Stock. Your video influenced my decision. It's all that I carry. Every. Single. Day.
I was really surprised to see this after your "switching to Sig" video ... but great content as always, thanks!
And the 320x is sweet!
Im 6'2, 135 lbs. I have same issue. G26 and g42 are my go to appendix carry options.
@@MrRolloBaggins Jesus Christ you skinny bitches lol. I’m 6’4 280lbs breathing hard like a Cummins diesel typing this message. Glock 19, Glock 30 and Smith Shield all the way!
My favorite pistol is the Usp compact 45.
As someone who doesn’t carry glocks. I have to agree with everything you said!
I simply found a carry gun I trust as much that holds 15 rounds and is easier to conceal. It is still pretty simple but not nearly as simple as the Glock line.
Now if a SHTF situation happened I would have a G19 or G17 with me or at least near by.
Me too. I carry that over my 19
G19 and the Hellcat are my two favorites.
@@bereviews8064 Agree. The 19 is easy for me to carry as well. Sometimes I just like carrying the Hellcat. It's a sweet little gun!
Good video, I recently changed to a Sig 365XL it is truly an all season carry piece for me.
Whatever works for each individual. Seems many over look the M&p 2.0 c, same size as the G19 with ergonomics leaps and bounds above glock.
I edc the p10s and is vanishes, super accurate and fast and good round count
The 19x is much larger than the regular 19.
I enjoyed having the 26 because I thought the smallness would be better for concealed carry. Then I got 2 P80s and loved them so much I got another 19 for edc. For anyone out there worried about the 1/2” size increase. Don’t worry about it.
All the handguns I own are G19’s!
Great taste bro 👌
boring
But it’s not a glock
Walther is amazing. Love the PPQ
I'll trust the opinions of men who have actually hunted and killed other men for a living. If they choose Glock that says it all. If the Walther, S&W, etc, etc were better then they would carry them.
@@scottkelly7051 what if they all picked different brands 🤯😳
100% agree, I first EDC’d a Kimber Raptor Micro 9 then switched to a Sig p365, and finally ended up in a Glock 19 which has been my fav by far. Sig p365 is still great as it’s quite slim and compact for certain situations, but 99% of the time you’ll find me with my G19, recommend that to everyone for their first handgun whether they plan in concealing right away or not since it gives them the option down the road. I’m running a Gen5 with a Holosun 507c Red Dot, and a TLR7a in Trex Arms holsters. 🇺🇸
Great video!!! Just one thing... TURN THE PHONE HORIZONTAL NEXT TIME....
Thank you for a great video with good info and thank you for your service.
What happened to Former Special Forces SGM Mike Glover test and evaluates the Sig Sauer P320X Carry for Every Day Carry, best ever?
He said he loves it but its massive. Probably not good for CCW for the average person.
Best all around and trustworthy no matter what.
I love the 19 but for me I been using the Sig p365 and love it for me. Always enjoy your videos Mike!
Thank you!
I also prefer the 365, It’s easier for me to conceal in the work place. Glock 19 with 22 rounds next to my bed.
My EDC's:
S&W "J" Frame.
Glock 19 (if more than 5 attackers!)
My EDC firearm is a Springfield Armory XDS 9MM. The size and function is perfect for me.
I personally, feel that the Sig P365 is the best EDC handgun. Higher round capacity, accurate and very concealable!
LOVE my 365XL...
@@normgraham6658 Just picked up an XL myself, but have yet to shoot it. You run a red dot on it?
yep... standard p365.... just the way it comes out of the box
@@phoult37 I actually carry the 320 X compact. I need the larger gun for work. My son and several friends have 365’s . Excellent EDC
Where do you get increased capacity from? I see 10's and 12 round mags and that's with the XL.
Grip angle is irrelevant.
I'm a Glock Tard Spent 35 yrs with 1911 platform. I'm a fan of the 30. Love your straight honest no bullshit thoughts. Keep vids comming!!
I’d like to hear why you don’t like running a weapon light, but a handheld only? Thank you for your time, and everything you and your team do Mike.
because in the event someone is shooting at you, they can pinpoint your location of center vs holding out to the side you can still see and if they shoot at light probably will miss hand holding light..
@@gannelli I don’t think anybody trained would make such a statement.
@@gannelli why risk missing your shots with only one hand on the weapon? Hopefully you can get the shots off quicker than the threat. Would be the same as day light
@@gannelli shows how little you know. Being any army veteran doesn’t mean you’re well-trained on handgun weapon light use. Just the silly statement you’ve again repeated shows you don’t know what you’re talking about. But keep pretending.....
Carried my G19 for 6 years. Then I got ahold of my G48, and ever since then the G19 stays on home defense duty and the G48 goes everywhere with me. Glock pistols are great. 25 years of owning, shooting and carrying them has convinced me. I trust them over all others.
I watched you trying sig p320 xcarry and enjoyed.
What would be the reason you choose glock 19 over p320 xcarry or maybe xcompact?
This is my exact set up. Hats off to ya Mike!
What about the Sig X Compact you loved so much? Totally thought you were carrying that lol
Ditto
Yup. 320C is my goto. Though I guess you can't go wrong with a glock
Sig stopped paying.
Oh yeah....what about that video Michael? I guess it was for views.
The Glock actually has what is called a modified double action system. When you consider if a gun is double or single action it is not the trigger itself but what it does when you pull it. When you pull the trigger on a Glock, it does two things; draws the striker and then releases it.
