The reasoning given here for the cancelled collaboration is extremely vague compared to what happened. The Swedish Army Staff Office had initially approved the collaboration, but when it surfaced that Sabaton had performed for the Night Wolves (Motorcycle organisation from Russia with close ties to Putin) in occupied Crimea back in 2015 (and not acknowledging how controversial that looks), they decided that as part of the Swedish State they couldn't work with the band because of the implications that meant since the Swedish government still considers Crimea to be illegally occupied. I can't even believe that this song was a request of the official Swedish Army 😱😱😱
It's a very interesting story.

Absolutely amazing song and honorable piece of history of the Swedish empire. Once we were part of it too as Österlandet.

Thank you for appreciating it!
I missed this so much
We missed it too!
An extremely popular, very proud to be Swedish, metal band is turned away because they played for fans that were not approved. It is sad. A great song about a great subject. The two sides of my family came from Lithuania and from Sweden only 2 generations ago, I always wanted to be Scottish, because that seemed cooler, but I've learned to be proud of my Grandparents homeland, Sweden.
Great Video
An ancestor to me served in Livdragonregementet. He died in the battle of Narva.
Indy: if the army never asked you would never get this song [indy points up] (Applebees ad playing smash mouth plays).........
älskar sabaton....inge vidare låt...
Yay! More Sabaton History! My day has been made
We hope you liked the episode!
Yes your back!!!!!
We missed the History Channel
I'm so happy that another Sabaton History came out 😊
Is it a coincidence the video is 17:18 long? Or is some Norwegian soldier getting a little trigger happy?
Elaborate?
@@judahbenwinchester7009 On the 30th of November 1718, Karl XII was fatally shot from the Norwegian fort of Fredriksten. Hence the reference to 1718, and a trigger happy Norwegian.
Coincidence?
*I think not*
🇸🇯
@@daspotato895 No one can say for sure that he was killed by a Norwegian, might as well have been a Swedish soldier in a plot to divert the Swedish political landscape from its warpath. Karl XII spent most of his time abroad, some powerful families ought to have disliked that? However, Norwegian researchers, Swedish included, have in recent years leaned towards him being killed by a canister shot, shot from a Norwegian cannon.
Welcome back sabaton history!
Good to have you guys back!
Welcome back Sabaton History
Nä, den här texten saknar lite. Men kul med en ny video!
