- @trottiegolf fills you in on everything you need to know regarding the special TaylorMade loft sleeve found in all of our metalwoods. Discover how a few minor tweaks can unlock a new frontier in your game. Trottie tells you what the numbers mean, how to properly alter it, and what ball flight characteristics fit what setting.
Love this! Never really understood the sleeve. Loft is easy and flat stuff was always an unknown for me. Thanks!!
Nice and quick video explaining everything. Thank you!
Good to know! Amazing technology from the Taylormade Engineering team. They literally changed the market in todays drivers, and were the first to do so.
Thank you for everything you do Trottie your videos are definitely appreciated. Keep up the awesome work #teamtaylormade for life
Apparently the PGA Superstore doesn't know how to use the adapter. When you say Standard loft and Upright, they put it in Standard (how it comes default) because it says "Standard" on the adapter. A Standard/Upright setup, should be a 180° turn on the adapter. It's actually a blank setting that is Upright 180° from the eird "Standard". This keeps the driver in the default loft but, closes the driver face with an Upright tilt at address to promote draw. (Well done)
Love your work Chris, had been using this since my R11 days, the loft sleeve adapter is legit...try it on the range then go under par with your mates
That spider staff bag in the back is so good looking 🔥 🔥 🔥
This is a dumb question but after adjusting the loft, do you bring the club back to square at address or play the normal grip so it starts either wide open or super closed?
Love this guy. Hey trottie, love you man. You’re the best!
Straight back at ya man ✌🏻
@@trottiegolf thank you brother! Love from Rio Secco out in Vegas! Starting lessons with Butch soon! 🏌🏽♂️
Thanks mate , this will be helpful as I have just upgraded to Taylormade P7mc irons and Sim max 2 D driver , can't wait to hit them, go team Taylormade !
Love the Sim 2 so far - this helps understand the changes as well .
Actually very helpful. Upgraded from a 12 year old Aeroburner and I’m a bit out of my depth with the new SIM2 😂 loving the results so far though
I have a tm r15 driver, I have trouble going left, if I open up face angle should I put the weights at the heel so I don't go to far right or don't it work that way.
Trottie the best !!! I’m am team Taylordmade!!
My favourites are the 2 settings between lower and upright
Never heard the explanation like this about the loft sleeve. I am interesting in the part of the blank portion, can it be documented properly and published that will definitely help all SIM2 users like me
There is a chart if you look it up...
Oooo Trottie why couldn't you do this video months ago as I consistently struggle to stop slicing my m2 driver!🤣 ofto the range I go with this one 👍
I have my 9 degree SIM2 set on the lowest possible setting. 7 degrees makes it the perfect height
Why is there no adjustment video's of adjusting a stealth plus + rescue or other clubs that have the sleeve?
I have a sim 2 max. When I take the screw loose the head is stuck to the adaptor. It won't just pull off like it should. Any idea how to get it off or what caused it to be stuck?
What about if you hit a high slice? Play lifted up and the face closed now you are hitting loft balloons that go nowhere
Sup kris just got my sim 2 max driver it is amazing
I have a question. You said in the video that adding loft will help draw the ball more and that decreasing loft will help a run out and fade the ball more. The problem I have I that I have no issue with getting loft but I seem to over fade / verging on the edge of slice sometimes. I've had to decrease loft to 9 degrees as I was hitting them sky high. Any advice appreciated.
I used to have the same problem and im 15 so you can try and use my advice if you wish but what used to happen to me is i would hit it very high and with a slice and its because you swing is a bit “jumpy” if you want to call it that so to try and correct this make sure to keep your left foot planted on the ground so it doesn’t jump away (if you left handed it would be your right foot or your front foot) and what that does is it stops you from hitting as much up on it and will give you a more consistent lower ball flight….also just recently i have discovered that tilting your shoulders back just slightly helps with height because height is still a good thing but too much will obviously not be good…. Im a 2 handicap and have worked on this for a while so i hope this helped and made sense :)
@@zacdsouza7608 thank you. All advice is appreciated brother so I will give it a go and either thank you or ask for more advice 🤣🤣🤣 thanks again.
It may be that you are hitting down as negative attack angle causing too much height and spin.
You really need a launch monitor to see what's happening...
The shaft weight will also influence height, light shaft more height and heavier shaft lower.
@warwickingle9936 this makes sense. I used to have a 70g which I loved and now have a 50g and definitely don't like it as much.
@louspencermusic it really is trial and error but I would try a 60gram shaft to start. Where you are hitting on the club face is something you can do without a launch monitor. I use a damp towel and just wipe the face between hits. Lighter shafts being more whippy are harder to control but if the shaft is too heavy you lose swing speed...need the happy middle...good luck
Hi Chris, your breadcrumbs have lead me here. How do i flatten my lie (1 degree- I guess its actually .75)? Which direction do i go on the backside for a right handed 8 degree Stealth driver? I believe this will open my face additionally. Please advise
There is a TM adapter sleeve chart that gives all the settings....
Does anyone know if the Mizuno st 220 loft tip and the Taylormade loft tip are interchangeable?
I’d pay for the trotti experience
Thanks for the short vidio
hey Chris do you think sim2 max driver are good for high handicapper players 😅😅
What's the difference between higher loft, face pointing left and the blank space option, which also goes left?
Upright toe if in uprt side or flat toe if opposite side.
I set my Sim Max 2 for max draw. When I screwed it back in, I heard no click. It’s so tight that I’m afraid to try to tighten it more.
I’ve played a couple of times since, and it definitely has led to less slice and more distance, but I’m worried about the heading flying off.
Just keep going until it clicks. You want hurt anything. It takes a lot of torque to click.
Some torque tools don't click and others click easy. The screws have lock or rubber washers so if you have tightened firm it will be fine. The screws go a long way into the adapter sleeve so you will notice if it becomes loose well before it comes off...
Hey Chris, could you post a link that would explain the backside a littler further? Need to get my driver a little upright but keep the 9 degree loft......any ideas?
There’s bits on this on my RUclips…. Check it out for more details
@@trottiegolf thanks man!
As shaft technology has moved on is spine align not important anymore? Or was it never important?
It's only really important if you have an extremely cheap non big name shaft brand or if your shaft was made when graphite shafts first started readily being available(1995, give or take). If you buy an MCA/Aldila, Fujikura, Graphite Design, UST Mamiya, a reputable brand $200+ shaft it will be 99-100% round. So we are talking less the 1% not completely round at the very worst!
Just a question the blank side does it affect the loft also??
180 degree to std only affects the lie angle. TM has a full setting chart so you can see every setting.
It is a shame that it closes too much when you add loft… unable to hit it as goof with so much degrees close…
did he get this wrong? I thought if you lower the loft the face closes. but he says it opens.
He’s correct.
i need a sleeve only changing the loft not the face angle
loving all your videos tho
Callaway may be your answer..
I hit a high(balloon)slice, where do I set it?
Back in the bag 😜
The real answer is “higher” it will close the toe up
@@ryanwjohnsen 😂
Try 180 deg turn from std....it will say uprt and raise the toe but loft is the same.
When you set up, get someone to check if the toe is up and they can slide a tee in flat to the centre....
I play callaway and titleist. I dont know why im even here
It’s so funny how he thinks that everyone has a SIM or SIM 2 🤣
Close that drawer...
Can’t stand this bloke
Chris Trott has to be the most annoying personality in golf.
I guess it’s cool that you class me as a “personality” 🤣👍🏻
You know what Trottie.
It says more about me than you that I wrote that.
I’ll keep the comment on for you to see it. Then it’ll go.
You don’t need to see feedback like that when you’re working
Go elsewhere then, Trottie has a personality and his comments made me smile...
