    The OKC Thunder made a massive leap last season, going from the 40 wins the previous year to 57 wins and the 1 seed. Unfortunately, they still ended up losing in the 2nd round. On the positive OKC still have alot of cap space and draft capital to improve and become NBA champions and maybe even the next NBA dynasty. This video will break down the Thunder's weaknesses and look at some players that can improve the team.

    Who should the OKC Thunder sign this offseason?
    Correction: Nicholas Claxton is planning to resign with the Nets so let's mark him off the list!

    All okc needs to do is continue to develop the young core and get a backup big and a big forward to start to move jdub at the 3

    The problem is Sam Presti is notorious for maximizing the value of his roster. He doesn't even let players hit restricted free agency, never mind free agency and given the salary situation we have right now with Chet and J Dub both set for max extensions or even supermax extensions next season, adding a third guy like Ingram or Markkanen who will also want a max extension next summer would be salary suicide. We'd be adding 80 million to the payroll at least. I think it would be better to go after Trey Murphy instead of Ingram. We don't need a forth star we just need a forth option and he's got all the skills needed to be a great 4 for us.

    Building a "dynasty" on the clickbait is a lil exaggerated. The West is very competitive and the teams on the top are as talented but more experienced than the Thunder. I am sure they will do very well in the regular season but the postseason is a different beast. The Mavs beat them conveniently this postseason. Wait until they go to the Finals a few times and win at least one chip before we throw the word "dynasty" around. Plus Boston in the East will be the favorites the next 3-5 years versus any East team. We shall see tho.

  • @Lekktrik
    @Lekktrik 3 месяца назад +1

    i think they should try to trade for Lauri, but they would need to give up a LOT. Lauri is the Jazz's best player, he is there franchise right now. Jazz want picks, especially in 2025 draft. I say lauri for 2 first round picks in 2025 (one being the highest okc owns) one pick in 2026, and a player to replace lauri like big jaylin williams

    • @moorehoops3490
      @moorehoops3490  3 месяца назад

      OKC has 15 first round picks, they can afford to lose some. There’s a limited amount of roster spots anyway.

    • @Uutalo
      @Uutalo 3 месяца назад

      Yeah they’re looking for a Rudy Gobert type haul as well as a young star potential player. It’s so high cause they want to keep Markannen but if someone actually offers something like that they most likely take it.
      Also Markkanen would 100% stay in Utah if the Jazz offer a max. The Jazz are the first team to let him loose and he likes it there

    It would be as big a dick move for Presti to go get the one person most to blame for keeping a LO trophy from landing in OKC, klay thompson, as it was a major dick move for kevin durant to abandon the team he couldn't quite get over the hump to go join the team, and especially the person--in klay thompson--that kept kd from a chip so that he could then simply turn around and go get a cupcake championship, the very next season, with the very players and especially the player, klay thompson, who beat him out of a legitimate ring.

    Markkanen and BI make ZERO sense with the THUNDER! Signing either will cost you Chet or JDub and probably BOTH because of the new CBA. Markkanen is an Allstar that plays for Ainge (Literally the hardest GM in the NBA to make a fair trade with). Markkanen was also TRASH on his 2 previous teams and on the Bulls so much so that they GAVE him away for NOTHING. He only excelled in Utah where they have NOBODY ELSE, never even sniff playoffs, and SUCK! BI isn't a 5 out guy and the Thunder themselves exposed him in the playoffs 6 weeks ago and WAY OVERPAID for what he is. The Thunder just need a starting level- to- high level backup 5 out Big to truly complete this team. They were 1 foul from home court advantage game 7 with Dallas even having there main shooters % half as good as their season % and PJ Washington playing like1996 MJ.

      The celtics can afford 5 max contracts so why can't okc afford 4 max guys and bench players on rookie contracts?

    • @chrispypickens373
      @chrispypickens373 3 месяца назад

      @@t7-nba379 The old CBA was staggered in a way for the Celtics that allowed for 4× $30 million players to play together. Porzingus and Holiday were not the best players on this team yet they got the biggest bag$. Browns $50 million hasn't kicked in yet and Tatums new deal will be stupid higher than that. The Celtics also got great production from the "others" on bargain money. With the new 2nd apron the Celtics are screwed next season and will probably have to get off Porzingus. But that Championship helps some of those money issues. The new CBA is going to change financials greatly and giving SGA the supermax and Chet and JDub first max contracts gives this team a winning foundation for the foreseeable future.

    Just don't repeat the blast of the past when the young and emerging Thunder of Durant, Westbrook and Harden was busted up. Just wondering why there wasn't an aggresive move toward Clingan. Dare I question Sam Presti -- the best GM in sports? Klay or Buddy...on 2-year deals would be good fits. Love what's happening in OKC.

    Dude really claimed the Thunder lack size...how tall are they again, across the board? Chet took a huge step forward? How so? His numbers were pedestrian. Especially rebounding. His rebounding numbers are inexcusable. But that has to do with him literally being a toothpick. He HAS to pack on some bulk. He can't rebound.
