lmao everybody here to see how to connect the pipes and he just skipped that! :D
Yep.
2022! Still coming to see how pipes are fitted 😂😂😂
Came to see how to fill a towel radiator. Just open the valves I guess haha
Thats all i wanted to know😂😂😂
Shall I revisit in the next video?
Great video!
It would've been good to see how the plumbing bit was done
Noooo!!! The bit I wanted to see was how you connect it to the bloody pipes at the bottom!
The bit you clicked your fingers and the ‘magic’ just happened!!
😱😭😭😭
Watched this a few times now, for installing Towel Radiators, very helpful, 👍
Thank you,you pinpointed what everybody else didn't
Plumbing tips? You skipped the plumbing part of the video.
thechardy Sorry dude :(
+plumberparts have you got another video that explains the actual plumbing part?
@@morwennajohnson3563 They would lose trade customers if they did that. I have gotten used to clicking through the video to see if he actually does as he says. He never does. He only covers the bit that you get instructions for anyway. :(
The bit I was waiting for
p cocxko Same here!!!!
Good to see ya back on YT
Another entertaining and educational video. Brilliant.
PLEASE can you explain or do you have another video which explains the plumbing part of the operation ! I think a lot of us were waiting with baited breath for this and it didn't happen ! Naughty Mr. Plumberparts for missing this out, ha ha ! Love your videos, they've been so helpful to me.
Great vid. Gonna fit mine tomorrow!
‘Aint that bloody brilliant’ 😂😂
Awesome job mate
Thanks. Very useful
Hi, thanks for this video, just one question, can I put inhibitor in the top is so which one please?
Hello mate great video as usual, as a fellow plumber im wondering if you could do a basic video on pipe bending? as i am not to confident in it, i am lazy and tend to use 45's and streets.
You the man!!
My old one has a ground wire do I need to re use this. I've not seen many that has them now?
Awesome buddy thank you
Great idea.
Nice video top man made it nice and easy
Good video, but I did want to see how you connected the pipes and if any alterations were needed to fit them.
Your just the man
Can you get anything like chrome tubes to cover the copper pipes coming up from floor? Ta
How would you go about fitting that on a gypsum wall..?? Can you put it straight onto tiles as it's quite light or not...???
Can you use a towel rad as a by-pass? Ican't think of a reason not to but I thought they tend to be in hallways near the thermostat?
Cheers
Great video .... but should have shown the final pipe work too.
It seemed to be a plasterboard wall you hung the rad on by looking at how easily the drill went through, is that enough to support the rad? I recently hung a towel rad myself but chose to opt for a block wall after reading the literature stating not to use a stud wall, was just wondering?
Cheers
Came here dor the plumbing part really
I wanted to know how to connect the valves. I presume I use PTFE tape but how tight do I do them up? ( The threaded parts that screw into the rail)
I am replacing a standard 700mm radiator wiith a thermostatic control. How do I connect the towel rail to the existing pipes and can I keep the thermostatic control valve?
OK up to a point but my challenge is this.
There has never been a radiator in our bathroom but now I would like to install a towel rail running off the CH system.
I have the boiler flow and return pipes under the bathroom floor. Could I just connect to these? A small concern would be that the pump would come after the flow input to the towel rail. It is far from practical to try to run a new point to join after the pump.
Another idea might be just to cut into two points on the boiler flow rather after the CH systems of old relying on the small pressure differential across 50cms or so of pipe.
Any guidance would be welcome. Thanks!
AHHHHH I've come here especially to see the plumbing in part! Damn man! Damn
The old radiator im changing the pipes go inwards but my towel radiator go down? What do I need to buy to fit the old ones so my towel rail is flush from the old pipes?
Mine didnt come with instructions, this helped thankyou
a fine job
nice video, one question, when fixating the radiator you put the m1 screws in to hold the frame together. would it not be easier to align the studs so the screw hole point outwards. not like anyone going to see them anyway and WAY easier to install. I saw you fiddling behind the radiator with the screwdriver and tiny skrew. you quickly skipped this part assuring me this the biggest headache of the video lolol. cheers man!
I like your dialect!
Great videos - thanks a lot for sharing your expertise - has helped me a lot
Do tiles are strong enough to hold radiator with water inside?
do you measure from pipe to pipe to see what size rad you need
Can you please make video how replacement hot water cylinder thermostat ?
what is a towel rail? does it keep the towels warm like a radiator?
What to do if half the wall is tiled? Can you cut down the brackets?
Fab videos for advise as im not a plumber but an engineer thank you. You say use PTFE on th einlet and outlet, they dont actually tighten up?
On towel radiators use 24/25 wraps
Why not doing the 2 top ones in the same way you did the 2 below ones? I mean installing the 4 fixing points on the towel rail. Connect the rad to the valve and pipe work while somebody holds the weight of the rad which has no support at that stage and draw around the 4 holes around the brackets. Then undo the union at the valve or compression and remove the rad. Drill, secure the 4 brackets in one go and put the rad back on. How does that sound to you?
I am going to be installing a towel radiator shortly, my existing pipes are 10mm and most valves seem to be 15mm.
Will using 10/15 reducers between the pipes and valves have any detrimental effect on the performance?
No, you it will be okay. If you are confident at soldering you could buy a 15/10mm reducer and put the 15mm end directly into the valve and tighten up (I do this because I don't trust the reducer kits supplied.
ok thanks mate
yeah!
can i cut the brackets as i am fixing to old rad pipes they are close to the wall about 20 mm and cant be moved cheers
+mervyn jones If you can get round them and the radiator will still be firmly held then it should be fine!
I was expecting to see some plumbing tbh
Hi I live in a new build and the pipes are plastic coming out the wall how do you plumb one in I have a radiator on at the moment?
+John Hope Use standard fittings that are suitable for plastic pipe like hep20
I got one o them rails. Bostin'! Just remember peeps, they don't 'radiate' much heat so won't really heat your bathroom, slap a rad in dudes~!
Is it possible to connect bent tap connectors to radiator valves if (as in my case) it results in less exposed pipe work ? Even if it were possible would it be ill advisablle e.g., flow rate issues ?
SiliconDustCatcher Its not best practice and would probably end up on our hall of shame photos!
***** Are you suggesting that it wouldn't work or that it would just be ugly? The situtaion is like this: I want the radiator valves to turn INWARDS just like in your video and then to go into the wall, this is why I've bought straight ones rather than angled, as the knobs on angled valves would protrude outwards. The valves are chrome-plated as is the &£6+ (each) tap connector that I have purchased, so as they compliment each other they look a lot more aestheticly pleasing than having a tiny bit of pipe then an elbow. I am PRESUMING that a radiator valve is pretty much just a tap in a different form ie., it just controls the flow of water by twisting the knob - but I may be wrongand you're the EXPERT. The only potential problem I can foresee is that water only flows one way to a tap, but radiator valves obviously return the water to the radiator circuit.
Does having a combi boiler affect the way I have to drain mine down? Need to leak seal the spigots properly as it's causing. My boiler to lose pressure constantly. I'm a trainee but never touched these before and the advice would make a massive difference.
Yes it does, but don't understand if you've got a problem with a leak after the install. SUBSCRIBE! ➡️👉 ruclips.net/user/plumberparts 👈⬅️if you haven't already!
plumberparts It's been installed for about 5 years but started leaking recently. I've checked the rest of the pipework and this is the only leak I could find. Just worried about how to drain it without getting wet. Any advice?
mine leaks still slightly after 8 turns of ptfe!! help
His secret recipe for cleaning them pipes is flux 😂
no it isnt... its Brasso...
just as it should
What if the pipes come out of the ceiling? how do i make sure that its not hanging upside down? My old radiator was hanging upside down...
Send us a photo to our Facebook, twitter or Insta....then I can help you out dude!
Great vids fella will all come in very handy when I do my Bathroom.
Thanks for the great radiator installation video!
Raw plug behind the tile or not? Been told they crack if there on the front
Usually fine mate! Sorry for the delay in replying!
plumberparts whats fine behind or not lol? i have done it now
weeddrwswed
i always tap through and use uno plugs not the cheapo
Hello mate gonna fit a towel rad when i refill the system will i need to add an inhibitor. 😉
Tez Boorman pop some in anyway mate. it's always a good idea!
Well clearly from the way that drill went in that's a hollow wall so usingvthe basic rawlplugs as supplied the radiator will be hanging off the tiles. Good luck with that.
Another one waiting to see how it was plumbed in . I know how to measure up
It just needed chrome coloured pipes on the bottom. But all in all, great vid once again.
Ha! I'll buy some wrap arounds....to make it look even worse! SUBSCRIBE! ➡️👉 ruclips.net/user/plumberparts 👈⬅️ IF YOU HAVEN'T ALREADY! 😎
Manic! Ta.
It IS Nice! Tho - Putting locking screws in is Not [at] the point of "Done".
Plumbing ~ Plumbing, would have Really been nice to see. Install is Then Complete.
Show how you did the pipework. And tell us the secret... or else! ;)
Pipes coming out from the wall would have provided a neater finish. But great job though.
Central heating turns off
What a nutter 😂
I hated everything about the towel rail I installed all new install pipe work the lot pain in the butt
I bet you polish your pipe most of the day eh Jaz??!!
james, awesome vid, my wife said can you come and fit ours, naked !!! p.s, can I have one of your t shirts, please !!!
'allo fella, just wanted to say how bloody good all your vids are. I've just completed fasttrack courses in level 2 and 3 plumbing but your experience is invaluable to me. if you want a half cooked apprentice (need to fill portfolio's, all tech certs are done and done) then let me know and ill move house. I've now fitted an outside tap as per your method, only difference is I used a small washer as my bricks were a bit lumpy, and plenty of silicone. I am going to be using this vid to add in a towel rad. my issue is getting the pipes from the existing C/H circuits to my new towel rad in a new en-suite. I will be buying an SDS drill to do this, and coming to your site (www.Plumberparts.co.uk) to choose which one to buy as I know your advice can be trusted. Thankyou very much for your help! keep up the great work... aaawesoome.
PlumbBob
100th like do i win a prize lol
Plumbing for 17 years, never do it like that, just push the rad against the wall and mark above and side of the the bracket, piece of piss
We've all got our own ways bro. Mine, for me, is a piece of wee wee too!
bellend
Your mum!"
Yep another waste of my time watching two videos with same person and yet AGAIN not showing how to plumb up so yer you are not that good showing start to finish....
Which bit of the plumbing up are you struggling with? Happy to help here if the video missed something...
Did not show the connecting pipes to radiator so incorrectly titled I’m not struggling with the plumbing just interested how you done it...
@@comeonchap Here's a video I made for my mates Trade Radiators that covers it more in depth: ruclips.net/video/iqKS2YJpxgo/видео.html Or you can watch this one I made on my channel: ruclips.net/video/wADsAFj0C-Y/видео.html
Absolutely pointless.
I am not a plumber so forgive me would it have been better to do a 90 degree angle into wall and run under floor as you said you done the tiling pipe work looks untidy better to hide it
I would imagine that he has to use existing pipes from previous radiator. Towel radiator was obviously purchased after tiling was done in the bathroom. Sometimes you can't always plan so far in advance. Otherwise all that tiling has to be ripped off.
