I like how you used the red yarn to teach seaming. Did you cast-on and bind off with the red or the tan? And the first row, what colors?

I’ve heard acrylic yarns will melt if used as a coffee cozy on a regular ol’ disposable coffee cup. Have you found that to be true? I’m seeing mixed reviews online.
Depends on the yarn and how warm the cup is. To be safer, you can use a wool :)
I'm very new to knitting; is this something you'd block, or not? If so, do you block flat? Or around a mug?
Hi April, I don't think you need to block it. If you prefer to block it though, block it flat.

I thought it was more than begginer friendly, but that's my opinion.
It might take a second or so watch but I am a total beginner and I picked it up and made one, not perfect, but hey a good start!
