Did you know Ramin has never had any vocal training? He doesn't know his vocal range and he calls vibrato the "shaky bit". haha He is AMAZING at what he does. Became the youngest Phantom ever at 29, and was the original Phantom for the sequel "Love Never Dies". The friendship and chemistry he has with Sierra (Christine) is adorable. You should definitely see them both sing in "The Point of No Return". They are beautiful together. He's also like really hot. Andrew Lloyd Weber doesn't call him the "sexiest Phantom" for no reason lol

After listening to this a million times, I've been able to pay attention to Sierra's face during the song. I love her acting during this because it's so clear that even though he isn't touching her physically, his voice is. And I think it creates more depth of her character as well as his.
I was at The 25th anniversary in England at the Royal Ablert Hall of Ramin and Sierra gave a master class in perfection...I have seen Phantom many times since 1986 and this is the definitive version. The woman who played Carlotta was even supposed to be in, the original singer got really sick and even she absolutely CRUSHED it. When they did Music of the night...not a dry eye in the place...then when Sierra did "Wishing you were somehow here again". ...OMG...fell in love on the spot. Phantom will never get better then this.
I would love for you to react to the 25th anniversary because not only does it have the best Christine and Phantom but in my opinion has the best Raoul as well. Ramin and Hadley (the guy that plays Raoul) have such a storied history and friendship and seeing them as rivals in this is so cool and fun vs the Les Mis 25th anniversary where they are playing two best friends.

Ramin was chosen by Andrew Lloyd Webber for this 25th Anniversary version because he brings a little bit of a rock n roll style that Andrew really likes and what the very original video was, before the formal play came to be. Sarah is just beautiful and talented and amazing and was hand-picked by Andrew too. They are amazing together and are wonderful in the sequel, "Love Never Dies", as well.

I am blind in one of my eyes right now and can't see well in general so I had not seen that the system changed her name on me. I have watched a lot of her videos, including her "Daae Days" series. This is actually one of my favorite musicals! I absolutely love this song and I love all of the vocals. It makes me happy although the entire story has a sad ending. You have to love it though!

I'm amazed by how Ramin Karimloo Sounds different in Phantom than he does is Anastasia, and then different again when he sings You'll Be Back on his album, and then again when he sings Waving Through a Window on his album. He's the master of adapting to the right setting.
Phantom was one of the musicals we voted on which musicals they'd like to see for a reaction series, but Six, Wicked, and Dear Evan Hansen came up on top! After six weeks once they had their run, I might be able to on a different poll :)

Did you notice how much prosthetic he has on? - I'm curious if that was a feature in the earlier shows or just for the 25th anniversary (this performance) - I was in complete Awe when I saw this, it must be extremely difficult to enunciate with so much prosthetic on his face and mouth.. He's truly brilliant.
It was done specifically for the 25th Anniversary as they planned to shoot and release it in Blu-Ray (I think snippets of those Behind the Scenes are floating around YT if they haven't been taken off yet). In the audience the effect was crazy when his face was revealed because most fans present would have seen the original production in West End/Bway (bigger stage smaller theatre) and then suddenly this change in the Royal Albert Hall (smaller stage bigger theatre) really just added to the whole atmosphere.

Okay, I've been back on my POTO kick again -- REALLY trying to learn Final Lair for a video idea, but that song has elements of just about EVERY other song in the show. Anyway, I just wanted to comment how important it is to sustain that final note until the orchestration catches up and resolves because it becomes dissonant for a bit. If you run out of breath before that resolution, it just sounds like you're pitchy (there's my Randy Jackson word!).
The last scene between Phantom and Christine is SLIGHTLY different from the normal show, where in the West End 25th-anniversary version, because Ramin and Siera wanted to incorporate Love Never Dies (the prequel also written by Webber; they both originated the roles for the West End release) into the show in some way. So, instead of running away after Christine gives the Phantom back the ring, she walks away slowly, crying, and looks back. Read the plot for Love Never Dies on Wikipedia if you want. You’ll understand why they made the change.
You say you saw Phantom in Vegas. If you saw the original production, you likely saw Sierra Boggess as Christine. She created the role of Christine for this production.

Watching your videos in reverse. Quite funny because I earlier watched a video which featured 4 past Phantoms, including Ramin outside of makeup, and I believe you said something like "I wonder if they were Phantoms in the past". He's quite unrecognisable outside of makeup! I think his hand movements in that other video were such a signature to his Phantom. He's my personal favourite.
You should do a vocal analysis on Christine singing the song "The Phantom Of The Opera" she hits a note that's soo ridiculously high and makes it look easy and I'm just curious how she hits that high of a note. It actually goes soo high the microphone has trouble registering it. I'm wondering if she really hits it or if it's pre recorded.
Not gonna lie, I am a huge phantom fan (I watched live more than 5 times lol). Not a professional singer or coach but the part that I use to see if the phantom is good is 7:18😂😂 and of cuz Ramin in my opinion is the best one especially when he’s with Sierra 🥲🥲
The very first phantom i saw was when Michael Crawford and Sara Brightman were the leads… omg. High school field trip, cheap seats. Thank GOODNESS the theatre has awesome acoustics!!
No... it's not the same now. The proscenium's been stripped nearly bare. The angel is gone. The chandelier doesn't fall over the audience, and the orchestra has been reduced from 27 to 14. No harp and few woodwinds. And worst of all, it's basically the restaged tour, so. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Not worth the ticket price. I'd see it on Broadway. That's the only way the "brilliant original" survives.

They’re chemistry is so good is because they originated the Phantom and Christine roles for Love Never Dies ( PTO sequel) only a year before the 25th anniversary (West End). Andrew Lloyd Webber has described their connection as “almost unbearable” to be around because of how good it is. Andrew, Sierra, and Ramin are still really good friends to this day. When Sierra was Christine in the 25th Broadway anniversary, Ramin was one of the guest phantoms at the end of the show.

Yes, he has never had vocal training in the past. But every cast in an international musical has a vocal trainer, so he learned so much.

The last scene between Phantom and Christine is SLIGHTLY different from the normal show, where in the West End 25th-anniversary version, because Ramin and Siera wanted to incorporate Love Never Dies (the prequel also written by Webber; they both originated the roles for the West End release) into the show in some way. So, instead of running away after Christine gives the Phantom back the ring, she walks away slowly, crying, and looks back. Read the plot for Love Never Dies on Wikipedia if you want. You’ll understand why they made the change.
You say you saw Phantom in Vegas. If you saw the original production, you likely saw Sierra Boggess as Christine. She created the role of Christine for this production.

But as many have said, it is best if you get to see the whole thing. It is divine. The three main leads - Ramin Karimloo, Sierra Boggess, Hadley Fraser - had insane chemistry. You won't be disappointed!
Watching your videos in reverse. Quite funny because I earlier watched a video which featured 4 past Phantoms, including Ramin outside of makeup, and I believe you said something like "I wonder if they were Phantoms in the past". He's quite unrecognisable outside of makeup! I think his hand movements in that other video were such a signature to his Phantom. He's my personal favourite.

You should do a vocal analysis on Christine singing the song "The Phantom Of The Opera" she hits a note that's soo ridiculously high and makes it look easy and I'm just curious how she hits that high of a note. It actually goes soo high the microphone has trouble registering it. I'm wondering if she really hits it or if it's pre recorded.

My god he is amazing.
Not gonna lie, I am a huge phantom fan (I watched live more than 5 times lol). Not a professional singer or coach but the part that I use to see if the phantom is good is 7:18😂😂 and of cuz Ramin in my opinion is the best one especially when he’s with Sierra 🥲🥲
The very first phantom i saw was when Michael Crawford and Sara Brightman were the leads… omg. High school field trip, cheap seats. Thank GOODNESS the theatre has awesome acoustics!!

No... it's not the same now. The proscenium's been stripped nearly bare. The angel is gone. The chandelier doesn't fall over the audience, and the orchestra has been reduced from 27 to 14. No harp and few woodwinds. And worst of all, it's basically the restaged tour, so. Cheap, cheap, cheap. Not worth the ticket price. I'd see it on Broadway. That's the only way the "brilliant original" survives.

They’re chemistry is so good is because they originated the Phantom and Christine roles for Love Never Dies ( PTO sequel) only a year before the 25th anniversary (West End). Andrew Lloyd Webber has described their connection as “almost unbearable” to be around because of how good it is. Andrew, Sierra, and Ramin are still really good friends to this day. When Sierra was Christine in the 25th Broadway anniversary, Ramin was one of the guest phantoms at the end of the show.
