For years I have thought, "I bet Ramin Karimloo would do a brilliant job with 'If I Can't Love Her'." Today my years of waiting have been justified. Bravo, sir. Bravo.
Interesting, Ramin’s version is a full step higher than the original ending in G4. Very smart of him to change the key to fit the strengths of his tenor voice.
What amazes me about Ramin is how naturally he sings. One issue a lot of singers (myself included….big time lol) is OVER breathing. We hear “breath support! Support! Support!!!” so much as singers that many times we default into taking SOOOOO much more air than is needed and end up over blowing notes. We take big gulping gusts of breath for a 8-12 bar phrase. Watching Ramin and how effortlessly he sings, he’s just breathing as he is speaking. Calm. No huge gasps of air and forcing too much air pressure across the folds. Just calm, speaking breaths and glorious control of his instrument. So amazing
This is the live action Beast that we had deserved. And I’m still bitter that they didn’t include this song in the live action movie. That was amazing and brought a tear to my eye!
What on earth were they thinking! They said this song didn't fit into the movie screen play. Well then they should have changed the screenplay! This song is classic! So moving! Thank you Ramin for this awesome performance!!!
@@liljade53 "not fitting into the screenplay" is just an excuse the 2 real reasons this song wasn't in the film 1. film beast(don't remember his name) could NEVER have don't the song justice like literally he wasn't vocal skilled enough to really sell it. also and this ones the big one and probably the only reason that matters this song isn't eligible for an Oscar. it was written for broadway and not being new to beauty and the beast for the film it 100% can not be nominated for an Academy Award. you can hear Alan Meinkin just sitting at his piano saying to himself "yes this ones the Oscar winner" when really it was dud. its why all new movie musicals adapted from broadway shows have new songs written for them. its also why Aladdin didn't have any of the new music from its broadway version either. however as much a dislike the live action beauty and the beast i will say i absolutely appreciated the film using Home as the score underneath Belle seeing her room in the castle for the first time. im also someone who 100% fully believes that is Samantha Barks played Belle they might have legit put Home in the movie. cuz we all know Emma can't sing!!!!

Ramin can do literally no wrong id listen to him sing the phone book! And if he was young enough i would have been very interested in Gerard Butler's beast for the film. I didn't actually dislike the film beast i just know he couldn't have sung "if i can't love her" at least not well enough!

I played the role of the Beast in 2017 in a community theatre production of Beauty and the Beast and I actually modelled my Beast around Ramin's Phantom. I was JUST thinking about Beauty and the Beast the other day out of the blue. What an amazing coincidence this drops at the same time. Such a lovely rendition of one of my favorite songs. Very moving and It looked like Mr. Karimloo was really feeling it at the end. It's a very moving song to get into the headspace of since it's more romantic in the classical sense than raw passion or pure angst. It can be a very interesting song and this is a subtle and intimate performance of it. It really does sound like a disappointing self-realization rather than a desperate declaration, and I love that a LOT.
