    Hey Roger. I appreciate you helping me. I was able to get the laser up and running and making some art. It was working fine until I dropped my computer and it broke. I got a new one and now the new "same exact computer" currently won't connect to laser grbl. Do you have any ideas as to why? I have looked for troubleshooting answers and I haven't been able to progress.. any advice would be appreciated.

      Make sure the CH340 driver is installed on the new computer. Without it, it will not connect.

    Hi I just got mine and i installed the drivers from the micro sd, and grbl... mine will not connect to my windows 11pc yet... should i go to the site for drivers and grbl.... or is it true what some say about 1)enabling the dtr signal or 2 raising the baud rate? Thank you Sir

    I have a question for the retired electrician.. Limit switches... Normally closed, right? The Comgo Z1 only has limit switches in order to home the machine.. If I wire them in series, I could add extra limit switches for the other end of the X and Y axis to protect the machine from crashing if I do something dumb.. What do you think?

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  Год назад

      It depends............ Can be either N.O. or N.C., depending on how the firmware is written.

    Hi Roger, thank you for your video. I'm struggling engraving this grid. The lower right corner keep hitting the hard limit. If I move the limit switch barely enough to make it work I end up hitting the screws of the power supply while the laser is traveling. I really think the design could have been better with the positioning of that power supply... Any suggestions? thank you.

    hey tryign to figure out how you start from center and set origin, how did you get the laser to the center to set the origin in the first place? just use the X/Y and then move to then set origin? wondering for when i get my Ray5 in .

    • @rogersshop
      @rogersshop  Год назад

      What model Ray 5? If the 5 or 10 watt, it will not have limit switches, so the best way is to use "Current Position" as a start point (from center), and set the laser head manually to the center point before starting. If the 20 Watt, it will have limits and a homing function. Here, use Absolute Coordinates, place project in center of workspace, frame, and go. Make sure you are starting from Home here, and not a random spot.
