Smoking amps. Funny story. Thanks for sharing the story. Thanks for the Bad Cat review. I don't have much experience with amps. Peavey, Marshall, Fender, Mesa Boogie, and Orange are amps I have enjoyed. I just stayed with Fender though. I didn't even know about Bad Cat till I saw it on your channel, and though tone is hard to transfer across WWW (I just have small USB speakers, with no tone), it sounded nice.
Hi Jasper - Yes, amplifiers and speaker types can be difficult to feel at home with as their are so many things that give each product it's own tone or vibe. It was while looking for a Matchless Amp (A boutique Model) that I came across Bad Cat (There is connected history with those companies) and after trying one out (not many around in the UK) it was what I was looking for. It had it all, beautiful cleans, smooth valve crunch, overdrive on tap, very good digital reverb and controllable volume for home, studio or live work. Only downside so far... I need someone else to carry it for me cause my back is not what it used to be... ;-) regards: Stu
Btw there are castors that don't involve putting a 5/8" hole through the bottom baffle. They're just installed by four corner screws, so you can't slip them on and off, but if removed there are only small holes left behind. Parts Express has a lot of caster options. Caster? Castor?
Hi Craig - thanks for chipping in... that 'Parts Express' sure has a lot of choices available for those in the USA. We do have 2 or 3 outlets in the UK with some okay choices if anyone is looking for castors. Regards: Stu
Hi Amin - many thanks... a Red Telecaster eh... I must admit I do like the Candy Apple Red Fender does, although it can be quite difficult to get a hold of one those. Is that the model of guitar you would like to own? regards: Stu
