A tragic tale and so glad to see a wonderful performance by Binoche
+digitalsketchguy Yes it is a tragic story,the story of a lovely woman,Camille claudel whose only sin was to be a sculptor at that time and to deceive her family and mother especially.Rodin had sex with her and a conflictual relationship during 9 years and Camille had an abortion too and that caused her distress even if she was mentally ill and believed herself persecuted by Rodin and his mates.Camille was too passionate and she loved too much a man who lived with another woman and this love led her to madness.Sad ,very sad because Camille was a genius and had gold in her hands but she had a frailty within her. She needed a cure and a stay in a medical house but she could have gone home years after if her family had taken care of her..Sigh..

Yes, I admit that I get angry easy. Although it's pointless. Where did the beauty of Camille disappeared to? Must it be just this bits? How would I have loved to have seen the two beautiful artists meet for the sake of their beauty. What are they afraid of?
Je n'ai pas adhéré.Juliette Binoche ne me convaint pas comme Adjani m'avait convaincu..c'est si triste en plus,dès le début c'est l'horreur ce cadre,cet asile oppressant,étouffant..Pauvre Camille toutefois enfermée contre son gré trop d'années alors qu'elle allait mieux et aurait pu sortir au bout de cinq ans.Elle dérangeait.
I love Juliette Binoche because she is a great actress in any case, but this film is too boring, almost unbearable!!
Try Camille Claudel with Adjani and Depardieu,mutch better and very emocional.
