Welcome to the TSX CL9 family! Looking forward to your future content. Being an '07 6MT TSX owner for years now, one mod you should highly consider is an ECU reflash. Not only will it net you more power, but it improves the overall drivability. The reflash changes the VTEC transition to 5k RPM (vs 6k for stock) and allows you to stay in VTEC when up shifting. The stock throttle response is rather dull and the reflash improves it quite a bit and allows you to do better rev matching and heel toe. You would need an 07-08 ECU to do any sort of custom dyno tuning, but I think you will be happy with a simple ECU reflash and maybe add an intake.
Thanks for the info. I have looked in to this option including the sergbo flash as well. That will be down the line after my essential upgrades which are always handling and braking. I may do a header down the line so it's why I'm holding off on the ECU reflash.
BlipShiftApex, completely agree. Brakes, tires and suspension are key. The Sergbo reflash is really good and work well with aftermarket intake and headers. Sergey offers his own set of headers, but it’s not CARB legal for us Cali folk.
@@vando1267 We definitely have plans for the future. But for now all the budget mods suspension and brake mods are what we will do. Not sure on header choice. At the moment Smog isn't much of an issue isnce it's all stock. But we shall see how this goes.
I have a 04 and 06! both 6 speeds!! I recently added a M-factory LSD and carbon syncros plus a CT engineering intake and DC header to the 04 all purchased from HeelToe! just adding those parts have made the car super fun to drive!! just got to install all the suspension components and brakes. I hope you enjoy the CL9 as much as I do!!
Fantastic mods! We hope to switch to a cl7 euro r trans at some point with a wavetrac LSD and maybe carbon synchros to enhance the daily driver fun aspect of the car and track capable.
Love the new car! My tsx has an injen intake, dc header, test pipe and a tune from Serge Bo off of the tsx groups and it woke the car up without the big power road you mentioned. Makes vtec open up at 4k not 6k and makes the powerband more usable and even improved gas mileage. Definitely look into it, it wasnt expensive and I havent had to open the engine.
Thank you! We have seen the clutch replaced without subframe removal quite quickly, but hopefully we don't have to do it until we have to upgrade it. We look forward to enjoying the platform. 😁

Really solid car. Reliable good lookin and drives nice. A friend of mine had one. Slap a type S head on it with k tune, upgrade the suspension and throws some track Rs on it, u will love it. A Lil sad u went Honda tho (lol traitor) but good luck and lookin forward to more vids.
:/ Cunningham (RTR) raced these, and did a pretty good job. I understand hitting a wall with the Nissan stuff. It's hard out here to develop new parts on failing platforms and unfortunately the Nissan falls into this catagory. I like the track content you guys do, and hope to see more track stuff. Not gunna lie, I'm a little miffed at the honda, acura, lol hopefully my saltyness will dissapait. Maybe I'll see you on the track. Please stay away from the clickbait... lol. And be yourself man, alot of us relate to you.. :)
Sometimes its good to change things up. I am fond of cars that handle well, more so than cars with a a lot of power. But, the TSX has definitely proven to be a quite a nice daily driver so far. We hope to hit the track more as they begin to open up. So far we plan on going to our first track day June 27th. Dont stay salty, we dont want raised blood pressures lol.

Nissan makes a good engine. But the k24 is the 🤴king of 4 bangers. Parts are easy to get too

Besides manual transmission grinds with 6 speeds and having to take down subframe to change clutch there a solid car you’ll enjoy it as a daily 👌
