Exploring The Office SUPER FAN Episodes

- Опубликовано: 2 июн 2024
- Let’s talk about Peacock’s Super Fan episodes of the office. We’ll talk shop about how they’re made and why NBC is bothering with these in the first place. Then discuss several new/different aspects of this parallel series.
We’re not going to talk about every difference between the main canon and new episodes. If you want something like that…stay tuned.

They're pretty much the same thing, but RUclips takes a little more of the support away from me, but they offer some stuff to give you a little more notoriety as a supporter. - Развлечения
I loved most of the Super Fan episodes but there were defffff some moments that I was like “hmm.. well I know why they cut that”
Especially in the very first episode lol
Creed knowing about Dwight and Angela hooking up before anyone else was a nice bit.
Jenna fisher Def deserves recognition for the sincere and grounded performance she always brought to the show which I thought were always perfect in tone and balanced against the crazier more outlandish characters
I just remembered this crazy fan theory that Threat Level Midnight was secretly a stealth sequel to Get Smart...
It's honestly something I'd love to see you make a video on
"Unless you want me to", dude, I'd watch every single one.
The newspaper ad proposal is also lifted from the UK office. Was sad or wasn't included so it's cool to know they'd at least shot it
19:00 this also adds to when Michael gives Jim the same mug when Jim becomes Co-Manager!
If viewers can pick which version they watch, then I have no problem with this. But if there's only one option, Superfan episodes, that's just wrong on so many levels.
So many cut scenes, my reaction was, "Yeah, I can see why that was cut." And, as pointed out here, many of them do completely change some of these characters' personalities.
FINALLLLY bro i just started the super fan episodes after watching the netflix version 14 times back to back a few years ago. It’s so amazing seeing all my favorite scenes with just so much extra content it’s absolutely amazing!!!!
I dont get the hate for Superfan episodes. The originals are still there, this is just like a deleted scenes / bloopers reel, but intergrated into the episode.
Is there hate?
FINNALY All our superfan super questions are finally super answered
i'm a big fan of the super fan episodes, i always love more office content even if it isn't all 5/5. I'm excited for season 8, i'm hopeful it will make the season better, like zack snyder justice league type of thing
Im glad you mentioned that lil Pam and Jim thing. Everytime i think of that lil plot where they just "frustrated" i think about how my lady gets like that. No matter how sweet or charming i can be shes not for it but if i give her that attentio only i can she snaps back.
Great video. I've never seen a superfan episode, and now I'm sure I don't have to. Also, Canadian Netflix still has The Office, so if you have a VPN you don't have to get Peacock to stream it.
Never heard of these before this video, have to check them out!
dude the way pam describes roy proposing is the same way lee proposed to dawn in the british version
yesssss thank you for a long upload!!
18:30 "Orifice Olympics"? LOL
Thanks for the mention in the beginning of the vid! I was a moderator in the original office addicts Facebook group which grew to 356k members! I'm an admin with Liz in the new group. The Office Addicts 3.0. We're back up to 15k members already. Hope to see you there buddy! Keep up the great work!
Liz is the best
that’s so sad
Im all in for these. Its like a whole new show, and i honestly love the extra context the moments give.
It was fun working on this vid with you.
Great video!
I love the superfan episodes but I still felt somewhat underwhelmed knowing how much content is still out there
Lmao what did datoka do to them? You can't be the single person experiencing this without a reason
Or she's projecting it all? Or she's not realizing the environment of working on the series finale of a show that's been running for a decade simply isn't the same as walking in for a season finale halfway through. I'm sure everyone was emotional and on edge, and she seems to be ignoring the context and expecting to be treated like a main cast member immediately.
CREED STOLE THE SOCIAL SECURITY NUMBER OF THE LAST GUY WHO CROSSED HIM
That’s definitely a time that stands out where he said his name was Creed Bratton
CREED also took off real quick when Michael said "There has Been A murder"
So I might be mistaken; but I think Creed has said his full name a few times as one-off bits in Season 2 and 4 - but I also haven't watched The Office in months.
Why does bro look like Michael from vsause
Love your channel. Just finished the fan episodes. Keep up the great work
I had no idea they were doing this and was watching the office normally and realised stuff was happening i had never seen before (or new was a cut scene) and got SUPER confused.
Jordan Was Awesome!!! I wish we had more of Her..." Why are you telling me this"
They do make several references to him being Creed Batton, unless I didn't understand what you were saying.
Bob Vance announces his name as chip leader
Jan does the same when Creed wins the race
Creed mentions all throughout the show that he was in a band just like he was in real life
He plays the guitar in at least two episodes, the first being the booze cruise
Yeah I more of meant they didn’t mention his backstory.
so that Pam bit about the proposal is word for word from the original British office, the whole pilot is pretty much word for word, that wasn't like some new aspect of the character
48:29 isn’t it because he left the seminary and thinks god is angry
The office is still available on netflix in iceland🤔
its available in a select few countries haha
In india i can watch it on either netflix or prime.
Great video!
If you have to censor "obituary" does that mean you can't say "continue"?
Say "slut", but censor "obituary"?
Thank God you don't have a co-host this time
Amen.
That was so bad
Co-hosts can be fine, but when they aren't familiar with the source material? Yikes
Yeah that co host dude wasn't funny at all
Yes, not that a co-host is or would be bad but that guy was just bad... Lol
Mulverine with another hour long episode! Let’s go dude!!
where can i get those posters behind you? please respond
sylvandesign.co/
@@Mulverine YES THANK YOU
S07E17 7:55 wut lmao
I'm curious about watching this video, but I been absolutely enjoying the superfan episodes and feel like they've become the definitive versions of each episode 😊
i’d like to see any new extended pam scenes
Can't wait to watch
27:09 omg- this dad joke is just too much! 😂😂 somewhere, your kid is cringing and they don't know why...
LMFAO 😂 1:36
The engagement ad joke lands a lot better in the UK Office.
The superfan episodes are not perfect but as a fan of The Office, I will take all the small bits I haven't seen before and still eat it.
I loved the super fan episodes, it gives me more more to watch and laugh at, I don't care how darker it gets, that just makes it funny
13:15 That's actually pretty clever for the show's premise. I'd have loved that detail to be brought back in later seasons.
The detail about Tom being the reason for the doc is dynamite. Very true to brand.
I love the Matrix cold opening in Season 9, Kevin doing actual work, and the Golden Ticket additions giving Michael some depth but most of them are take or leave for me as a very casual fan.
S02E03 Orifice Olympics 18:38 okay
This is amazing - great work. I assumed I didn't need to watch these because I have the DVDs.
I can't tell if the facebook group was literally taken down because people were commenting "slut", or if its because the were quoting the office, that part of the video was so vague and irrelevant, why even mention that?
toby said that because he left the seminary to be with her then ended up divorced
I'm still of the opinion Gabe is the Strangler
18:32 another goof
Not even a joke. Obituary isn't okay to say anymore? Are we as a society so goddamn sensitive we can't even acknowledge that we will all eventually die, and might be lucky enough to have someone write a blurb about it one day? I thought people saying "unalive" instead of killing/suicide was the limit.
@@bunny-dl2fi right because it's "freedom of speech" unless you want to monetize your videos. That seems fair. If nobody ever fights against stupid rules like that they'll continue to censor words that are regular parts of conversation. It's not a bad word. But keep letting RUclips tell you what you can and can't say. I'm wrong here.
i am pretty sure it's cause it has the word bitch in it and he doesn't want youtube censors to pick it up cause they aren't very good but the way your brain works is also pretty funny
@@pinna3691 I don't think you understood my point. Nowhere did I mention the word "bitch". Stereotypical "swear words" will limit the audience that you can reach due to age restrictions on videos. I'm bummed because RUclips is turning regular words from the English language into what they feel are "bad words" - hence the word "suicide" in this video and countless others always being subbed for the bullshit version of "unaliving yourself".
One day we will see Office clips online and they will probably have to dub over Michael to say "IM GOING TO UNALIVE MYSELF" OR "DWIGHT YOU IGNORANT SEX WORKER" instead of calling him a slut at this rate
This went wayyyy over your head dude. O-bitch-uary, the word 'obituary' *sounds like* youre saying "bitch" @@Coneyislandwhitefish
Also, nobody (especially youtube) is saying these words are Bad or that its Wrong to say them, it's just the algorithm automatically detecting that certain words cause watchability to go down, so advertisers dont like to put ads on those videos, so people censor those words. It has nothing to do with freedom of speech or actual deliberate censorship
@@Princesssmelly Good joke. It did go over my head. My bad. and this isn't directed at you specifically so I apologize. Feel free to skip my rant.
But I hate people caving to dumb advertising rules. Not only are there commercials before during and after a video on top of banner ads but they need a sponsor now to talk about during the video too. It's all money driven and everyone's trying to be a RUclips star and monetize it all rather than making decent content. (Meanwhile Webster's dictionary recognizes rizz as a word now but I can't say o-bitch-uary.) Also am I crazy for thinking RUclips sets their own algorithm rules? If it's not them then who's the one making these decisions exactly? Seems like it is RUclips setting stupid rules about what is naughty and what's okay to say on a video you can get paid for. I get it if someone's being rude or cursing or saying these words directed at someone. But someone can't repeat a quote from an episode during a review? Insanity. This is why algorithms shouldn't be relied on. There needs to be a real person reviewing things sometimes. Instagram has similar censorship issues because everything is AI and algorithm based. (And money) Playboy and other models can show the most risque things and it's fine because those pages bring revenue to them. Meanwhile I've posted paintings in galleries that feature nude ART. Not even real photos and the algorithm takes it down immediately.
Overall point - it all comes back to a cash grab. From RUclips. From advertisers. From content creators - this creator included. He's spoken many times about having a regular job. And I mean no disrespect but it doesn't seem like he needs this as income but everyone's gotta get those dollars. I don't make Instagram any money for example, so I get reported too for not following their "rules" that they pick and choose when to enforce. RUclips does it too. There are plenty of news organizations with RUclips channels, and they constantly cover subjects every day that I would be demonetized if I covered. Do you think CNN or Fox or NBC is going around saying "Epstein unalived himself" to avoid videos being taken down? Nope. They don't have to. Because they aren't shoving sponsors in their videos or hoping to appeal to potential ones. Just the automated RUclips commercial breaks. (The news is chock full of issues as well, but not that issue specifically)
Sorry again. I hope I'm wrong but I feel at this time next year there will be other words that are naughty added to the list of sponsor no-nos. Maybe I should just stick to Vimeo or other video hosting sites that aren't so touchy. (Unless that's changed too.)
So that's what happened to that facebook group.
You look like Car Daddy on RUclips
cool video
Thanks for the video. This video made my day at work a lot better.
Glad you enjoyed it!
The editing of your videos is always top-notch!
I'll take full credit...
@EverydayLinguistics
Awe Chris I love the videos keep it up
How mental that it’s cult status came the year that none of us were allowed in the office 😂
a lot of the superfan scenes aren't great but the worst is a scene after jim and pam get together... season 5, i think. Jim and Pam are sitting on the roof and Pam claims not to remember the night in season 2 when jim made her a grilled cheese and they watched dwight's fireworks. i HATE IT. Either pam really doesn't remember or she is joking and it's not funny. Either way it makes me want to smack her.
Also... that scene about the newspaper ad proposal is straight from the British version and it was also a part of the audition for the role of Pam. There is a youtube video out there of the office auditions and both jenna and angela recite those lines.
How dare someone not remember something you remember, right? So unrealistic, right? 🙄
@@bunny-dl2fi
Wow you REALLY misread my comment, huh?
"Timothy Olyphant" amuses me more than it has any rights to.
I knew they would do that since I heard they had lots of unused footage.
Man of his word! Thank you!
So, what you are saying is, I should see Madame Web?
I never liked Phyllis anyways. She was a jerk and conniving. Her and bob killing someone explains a lot
#sixseasonsandafieldguide
I remember being annoyed that Netflix was getting rid of office since we dont get peackcock here but it's still on Netflix! I'm confused lmao
You're not in the US, are you?
Love that wrote one line with two references to crunch video games.
Ngl, if every youtuber asked me to join their patrion the same way you did, I'd be subbed to a lot more of them
😂😂😂
‘Member the oBITCHuary bit??
This and all the other SNL adjacent writers and actors shows on Peacock, I still have my account because of it
The super fan episodes were better
Unless you want me to......Yes mfer we want you to, don't make us beg geez 😂
personally i like the superfan episodes it adds more lore if you wanna call it that
Maybe if we ever have to say obituary again we should just call it an Unalivement Anouncement?
My main complaint is how bloody slow NBC rolls them out. Starting off it was like every 3-4 months, now its every year.
madame web wasnt even that bad, its not good, but people are over reacting
No it’s 100% that bad. Parts of it were compelling, but it’s a mess.
nahhhhhhhhhhh@@Mulverine
It was like Sony wanted to make one of those public domain character horror movies smaller film makers are doing to get attention, but with Spider-man. Only Sony wanted to keep it PG-13, so it wasn’t that scary and hardly anyone died aside from prolog scenes. Also the main character keeps leaving the plot to tell an origin story that won’t lead to any other movies.
Congratulations, you *are* the lowest common denominator.
It's a 4/10. It's bad, but it's not even the worst movie this year.
