I'm in similar boat with lots of eufy things and just got the pro govee lights. The eufy are first generation and most likely same as the govees hardware wise or similar. Chinese manufacturers don't change and retool. The plugs are slightly bigger which is minor. The lights integration with eufy cams and the ai component is very interesting. On the downside you can't cut and adjust the lights as per their website, which means disabling lights and hiding which is terrible thinking on eufys part. Been using eufy cams and door equipment for 6 months. Their software lacks a lot and has many bugs that they never seem to fix (check the forums). which leads me to why i went with the pro govee lights. I still like my eufy cams for the most part just the ai isn't that great. I have a few govee lights, including the tv immersion. those lights are still my absolute favorite purchase from a couple years back. Govee software for the lights is leaps and bounds over eufys just because it's more mature. They also are primarily a lights company which means that's their core focus whereas anker/eufy has hands in other areas. The other reason I went with the govee pro was matter integration. That should technically allow it to be integrated into whatever smart automation the user wants with other equipment and not be hampered by the company software. Would still love to see the eufy lights next to the old govee lights. Thanks for the video.
Great comment, and I agree with everything you are saying except, I'm pretty sure you can cut the lights and add extensions with out issue. Govee said the same but many have done it with success. Only time will tell about the app. If it never matures, we'll just hook up a wled controller and voila 😉
I would think that Eufy can simply update their app to add the additional scenes that the Govee has. I am a Eufy fan also, having their products throughout my house already.
Oh absolutely. I'm sure it's only a matter of time before the app is better. The biggest thing is the hardware seems as good if not better. I bet you could wire in a wled controller as well if you really wanted to go crazy.
Oh they absolutely can. I think it will all depend on how many people purchase these. Eufy serms to update their popular products often but only time will tell.
bro i have a question please if you can help i cant find the answer, i only need 50ft for my house but the pro only comes in 100, i see the strands come in sets so can i just use 50ft and plug in and work or does it need each one connected to work? like is it up to 100ft if i need it to be. peace
I don't have experience with the pro but with the version I have you can plug in as many strands as you want up to 150ft. In the app you need to specify how many segments you have plugged in. Easy peasy. I'm about 99.999% sure the pro is the same way, so you should be good to go with your project.
I agree but my best may be different then the next guy. Some, really want the ability to have the warm white light so in this case the eufy would be a good option. A buddy of mine already wants to purchase both kits I have because of this reason. I haven't decided if I'm selling yet...lol
This is exactly what happened to me with buying govee. Best part of the eufy is the calendar and holiday pre sets. I'm set up for every holiday by just having the lights up.
The eufy lights are definitely nice. Honestly the biggest draw back is the power supply and controller are not water proof and will need to be installed in a way to protect them from the weather. Only time will tell how each hold up.
@@ephraimreguindin13 I'm not sure about eufy but unfortunately govee is a no. These work with govee but not perfect and maybe will work with eufy as well. www.amazon.com/shop/thebluecollarlife/list/2CTNSD4AAEP7C?ref_=cm_sw_r_apann_aipsflist_aipsfthebluecollarlife_K64C0CSXXMHB39NA6MTA&language=en_US
If you want more control and more built in light scene options then the Govee would be for you. If you really want the warm white light and dont want to pay the $100 or even $200 more to get the Govee pro then the eufy is a good option. I would say build quality seems fine on both.
Really liking the warm white light in the Eufy lights however it seems those leds aren't accessible in the DIY Custom lighting section. If you figure out how to do it, please share 🙂
Ohh man, just looking at these lights to create a custom scene with just a few of the warm white lights to on and if it can't I'm going with the Govee.

Yes, I agree that integration with the cameras is very interesting. If I knew eufy was coming out with them before my installation I probably would have went with eufy in the front. Know that I already installed the Govee, I will only change them if I have some kind of issue with the Govee.

How do the Eufy compare to the New Govee Pro outdoor??
I have not installed the eufy yet but hardware eufy is better but software govee definitely wins.
Can you connect them to the cameras, like if it detects motion the lights turn on ?
I haven't tested this but supposedly it does support that exact feature.

Ahhhh, OK so that definitely makes sense why they seem so similar.

Can you Add More 16 foot Extensions up to 150 feet with The Eufy? I know Govee has extensions but they dont recommended going any longer than 150'
