- The Sony 24-70 2.8 G Master lens is a very popular lens in the Sony GM lineup. I picked it up on sale and that is the main reason that I picked up the original lens instead of the Sony 24-70 2.8 GM II that was just released last month. I mainly shoot with the Sony a6400 apsc camera but I do plan to upgrade to a full frame Sony lens soon so I will make good use of the Sony 24-70 2.8 GM lens.

Welcome back Dave. I have been following you on your camping channel which I love btw. I have this lens as well. I don't think I will upgrade just yet. Hopefully the new lens will go on sale in the next year or so. I always love your product shots. Have you considered doing a video on how you shoot your product shots? Thanks for the video.

I do love this lens but I find it a bit heavy and bulky. I do use it on my full frame camera and it does work well. Thanks for the video.
I'm back! Sorry I have been away for a while. I have been very busy with work and I injured my knee while working out so I have been dealing with that. It felt good to get back in front of the camera. I got a really good deal on this lens and I was pretty impressed with it. What about you, do you have this lens? Will you keep this lens or upgrade to the newest version?

I would say right now is the perfect time to jump to full frame. All of the apsc cameras are worth a lot even used due to the chip shortages you can almost get the full price u paid for them. Also the a7c is not much especially due to it always being in stock.
