I have recently got this lens for astrophotography.. not really had much chance to put it use due to bad weather.. would love to hear your verdict and settings you've used to get good astro pics using this lens . Have you found you've been able to get sharp images of the stars wide open at 1.4 ? or had to stop It down a little. Must admit I'm a newbie to astrophotography so any tips shooting with an apsc would be appreciated.. I'm using the this lens with a 6700 body to. Be great if you could possibly do a vid just on astrophotography with this lens and an update and your views now of it.
You didn't have to get rid of your Canon lenses. You could have used them on you Sony with the Metabones smart adapter fur EF/EFS to Sony E mount for about $300-400 USD. Save your money and st8ck with Sigma. Their i-series are nice for full frame and high quality all metal.

I have the Sigma 16mm f/1.4 for my Sony a6400 and the only significant reason for me to upgrade would be the weight and size of the Sony.
