- Birth-rates are falling across Europe and it's an increasing trend. In Italy, the population is shrinking and no better region highlights the decline more than the island of Sardinia. Louise Scott finds out how a lack of jobs, poor infrastructure and limited transport links are putting many young people off staying in the area and starting a family.

20 years ago I went to Sardinia for a global music conference. had a chance to look around. Absolutely love it. The beaches stunning. Sorry to see this happening there now.

Sardinia is a beautiful place to visit
ITV does an item about a warm country down South, commented by the most Northern voice they could find. An A+ for contrast. ✅😌
well.. probably what will happen is, Sardinia will become the next marjoca, ibiza, santorini, or canery islands.
at the moment its not.. but soon as those places become unsustainable which it almost is, tourists will look to Sardnia and corsica
one day Sardina will get over flooded with tourists and wish they would stop coming LOL
it will happen one day...
