Soft & Hazy Sponge Painting ~ I used an Ordinary Kitchen Sponge!

  • Creating a soft and hazy cloud painting with a kitchen sponge can be a fun and creative way to capture the dreamy, ethereal qualities of clouds. This technique allows for a blend of colors and a gentle texture that mimics the softness of clouds in the sky.
    With a kitchen sponge as the tool of choice, one can achieve a dreamy, ethereal effect reminiscent of fluffy clouds. Dip the sponge into the desired colors, gently dabbing onto the canvas in soft, swirling motions. Layering different shades adds depth and dimension, while varying pressure and angles create texture and shape. Through this method, the sponge becomes a conduit for your artistic expression, transforming simple strokes into a mesmerizing landscape of softness and haze....in this case...a mesmerizing seascape. 😁💕

    I wonder your reasoning as you go along. In beginning was mostly sky, to the end being mostly ? mountain surrounded by sky w early land to violent water. ? Process of how much energy you have early, to later on? To the change in hormonal attitudes early (peace) to more fortitude later? I've heard it called a "meta" process. Lower level conscious vs higher. (Milton Erickson, MD) "you paint this but you don't have to". Do mistakes ENOUGH and it becomes correct! Love your process!

      As I explain in the video my paintings evolve and change based on what I am seeing at the time I am painting. One thing affects another. I sometimes get frustrated because my vision does not get translated to the canvas. Once I let go and let the painting guide me, it all goes smoothly. I do enjoy the process

    Wot, no singing! 😄Well, I think this piece surprised you as much as it did us! I do love the result! Once again, to my eyes, all the colours are great, but for the brown shades. Every time you hold up a tube labelled "Umber" or "Sienna" I want to shriek "Noooo!". But that's just me. We all see and experience colours differently. So never mind me!

    It is so interesting to watch as you develop your painting. I think I see the direction you are heading in then, poof you complete change directions. I thought for sure I saw land taking shape, then water again and back to land. The ending waves were amazing! It is mesmerizing watching you. Question, how are able to work the paint for so long. I know very little about acrylic but I know it dries very quickly. Do you spritz the paint along the way, or use a blending medium to be able blend for so long.

    • @SorayaZiziArtist
      @SorayaZiziArtist  11 месяцев назад

      Thank you so much 😁 I don’t add any additives or extensors. I just keep adding more paint in small amounts. Occasionally, if I want a smooth look, then I will add a touch of water. Hope that helps 😁

    Hello, until 8.03 it was fantastic! you had made the sky and the color Siena could be a mountain range, the second part of your table (I give possible ideas) This is what I imagined and moreover, the CONTRAST was PERFECT 🙂What do you think? It is not a criticism, or it is constructive.

    • @SorayaZiziArtist
      @SorayaZiziArtist  11 месяцев назад +1

      Hi. No , I don’t add anything. It is paint straight out of the tube on a dry sponge. If you’re having trouble try adding a very small amount of water. But before you do, try adding more paint first. If that doesn’t work then add the water. Hope that helps 😁

    At 15.09: why not "warm" a little this sky (but not everywhere, just in a very specific place that could also be the Golden figure or the Fibonacci curve!) with the addition of a warm color? A small hint of yellow or ocher mixed with white would be the most beautiful effect because for the moment in the canvas, there are only cold colors.

    • @SorayaZiziArtist
      @SorayaZiziArtist  11 месяцев назад

      Hi, thanks. Around the 18:40 mark I add some warm colours mostly as a stain. I add and wipe them off. It definitely warms the cooler colours. Thanks for watching 👍
