Thank you all so much for checking out this video series and for your likes and comments. I'm so glad it's been helpful for so many of you.
I've had a ton of people asking questions about specific formatting issues or problems, and while I would love to answer all of them, I simply don't have the time (or the knowledge sometimes) to respond to every specific question. Microsoft Word isn't the best or the easiest formatting tool out there, so it is pretty tricky to get things right.
Most of what I've shown here was learned through trial and error and many, many Google searches. You can find many of the solutions to your problems that way. I'm sorry I can't respond to every single question but I wish you all the best of luck in your formatting endeavors!

Your videos are really useful. I have been struggling with page numbers and headers through several books, often giving up! Thank you for posting this video. I found you by accident whilst looking for info on having alternate headers with continuous page numbers. You nailed it!

Absolutely brilliant series! I appreciate how you made Book Formatting (for Word) as a series instead of a whole video, each video was easy to follow and I love how you shared your thought process behind the different formatting choices. Just subscribed :)

Hi Tanni! This is very helpful. You have awesome formatting in your books. And I love your scene divider. I didn't know it would be that simple to get in a divider. But, I think it's neat how simple it is. :) I'll have to keep this in mind (particularly with the inserting photo, deleting indentations, centering, resizing, and making sure the divider is in line with text) :). Thanks for providing your tips :) :).

I'm glad you found it helpful. I think the biggest thing is to make sure you are showing examples of your work, pictures of books you have formatted, etc.

Where do you get the photo (sword) to insert?

I either create images myself or, in this case, found a stock image to use.

But where do you get the image?

I make most of the images for my own books using a combination of stock photos and my own drawings. Otherwise they are just stock images I've purchased, usually from depositphotos.
