This is a compilation of parts 11 through 17 of the Rewriting Naruto series, covering the Tenchi Bridge Arc. In this series I rewrite Naruto, fixing Naruto scenes, characters and changing other things according to my taste. We will see the return of Sasuke in this arc and an epic confrontation with Naruto.
It's a Naruto vs Sasuke fight in a time of the story never seen before, and that could have been very interesting with the 5 Tails version two of the Nine Tails unleashed. The Naruto Rewrite is a long running series that's still going, we are currently midway through Naruto Shippuden, so definitely subscribe if you wanna see more.

And now we get more development characters whom where otherwise shafted in the original. Like Hinata is Naruto’s primary love interest but gets nothing after the first part of Naruto. I swear even when Kishimoto writes a descendant female character he manages to fuck it up by shoving them to the sidelines.

1:54:40 I LOVE Sasuke’s demeanor in this whole confrontation. He’s less obnoxiously edgy than he was in canon while still having the same mood. And I love the ultimatum he gives Naruto. Sasuke just comes off as much more reasonable…all while being leagues more powerful.
I'll be honest, while I love the rewrite overall, your handling of the NaruHina romance had me grinning the whole time. Also like the tweaks you've made to Yamato, it gives him room to develop as a character

I agree with the last two comments at the same time but like Yamato is fucking sick i know he’s a flatter character in the original but I see it as a man who has completed his arc. To me he is cool calm and down to earth, someone who’s made hard decisions throughout their whole life, a man who’s killed to save and killed to hurt. I love Tenzo he is a friend who knows the pain a friend has gone through and they came out ok on the other side together and that means a lot to me.

I don't mind Sasuke being insanely strong and more capable in this version but don't you think two kyuubi form fights back to back would be a bit redundant? When Naruto first tapped into four-tails in the manga it was special cause we didn't see it before and it was rare for him to lose control like that. We wouldn't see him go berserk again until Pain. Everything else is great, especially the dialogue, I just think the transformation should be reserved for Naruto v Orochimaru and then when Naruto fights Sasuke he and co get washed just like the original.
I'd say the kuubi transformation should be reserved for Naruto vs Sasuke, because the fight as it is is amazing. It throws me off the fact that Orochimaru with such a weakened body managed to confront a four-tailed Naruto, while Jiraya risked being killed by it and couldn't stand a chance. I know Orochimaru is overall stronger than Jiraya, but if we don't count external factors like the Reanimation Jutsu, or how under-handed Orochimaru can be, they should be equal in power.
Also, Naruto fighting Orochimaru with no kuubi power-up shows that his abalities are much more in line with that of other characters.
Since Sasuke was going to be such a menace, it wouldn't have seemed like Naruto was too powerful; and he obviously wuold've needed the other members of the squad to survive.
I love your rewrite, man. Seriously. The one thing I’d change for MY personal liking (and that’s just me, I know this rewrite is to fit your own tastes and it’s totally fine!) is that in order to have Sasuke fight Naruto i’d remove the Orochimaru vs 4-Tails Naruto fight. As cool as the fight is, I feel like having two of those is kinda redundant, and the Sasuke fight is more resonant character-wise so this is the one that should remain.
I’d also make it so Sasuke fights 4-tails instead of 5. After all, I think you made him fight 5 tails because Orochimaru already fought the 4 tails, but if that fight is cut, then Sasuke vs 4 tails is fine.
Anyway, I’m really sad that I caught up with the series in the middle of a hiatus. Can’t wait for the next part!
Cutting out the first fight would require some changes.
Like who is Orochimaru gonna fight And how Will they find the hideout.
Because Naruto injuring hinata is what leads to them finding Sasuke.
I get what You Are saying but unless he made some way to fix all these requirements than the first fight can't be cut out.

Kushina was a good Ninja too, she was more than just an Uzumaki, I think she gets underrated because her husband was so strong but she is strong too in fact she was the reason why Minato knows his 2 famous fuinjutsus

@DygoKnight I'm loving this whole rewriting so much right now! I discovered the first set of rewrites today and have been hooked listening to all of them all day now.
It's so great to hear about these tweaks that really do enhance the series, and especially with the amount of time, effort, and dedication you've obviously put into these. It's so thorough and detailed, and it feels like I'm watching the whole show again for the first time. All around this whole series has just been perfect!

Pretty awesome work so far man. Sasuke seems a bit too strong in my opinion, but we shall see what you do in the later parts.
Seeing how strong him and Naruto eventually become, this seems more necessary
gotta say i love this! but damn sasuke has gotten more than double the strength of what he was in the original story... damn i hope that is meant to bridge the gap for them not getting the reincarnation powers :D cus otherwise this is a little too powerfull for sasuke i feel but i cant wait to see more! (Edit) i mean he is already stronger than most akatsuki members and its only this early in the story.
When orochimaru fight the 4 tails naruto he says that even now naruto is still weaker than sasuke, and sasuke won against deidara in this stage of curse mark, who himself won agains 3 tails (thou i thinks its anime only), so i don't think naruto 5 tais is stronger than 3 tails full power, that already give him some Nice feats, them i think its really not that far away from the original, but in not tring to start a fight, just some thoughts, and i know sasuke fight him after absorving orochimaru, but both arochimaru and sasuke are stronger than 4 tails naruto anyway. (Sorry about my english)
Ok look man i was about to write a looong ass message but i will shorten it quite a bit out of fairness to any who might read it :P
Orochimaru states that naruto pre 4 tails is weaker than sasuke but he also makes it clear he means that naruto needs to rely on the nine tails inside him to be powerful at this point in the story where as sasuke has personal power (which orochimaru values above all else). So orochimaru doesnt mean ninetails cloak naruto he means base naruto. and he even says that 4 tails narutos attack is certain death.
the 3 tail stuff is non canon so we can just ignore that.
Sasuke only ables to match deidera in power because he is the perfect counter for him. Litterally having the 1 thing that makes all of deideras attacks useless. thats not being stronger thats just being super well matched up against him. Kinda like pokemon logic. A weaker water type can take out a much stronger fire type due to the typing.
There is no doubt in my mind that pre absorbing orochimaru and pre mangekyou.... sasuke couldnt beat naruto in anything more than maybe 3 tails state. remember naruto in 6 tails was able to resist all mighty push and go toe to toe with a focused deva path.
Since the ninetails power isnt dependent on narutos own power in those states then we can assume that he would beat sasuke but most likely loose control in the process. And before you say sasuke can supress the ninetails.... He was only able to do that when naruto hadnt tapped into it yet and only had time to do so because naruto refused to use the 9 tails. Later on even with WAAAY stronger sharingan sasuke isnt able to do so.
This was the short version -.- im sorry.
At this stage sasuke should not be as strong as naruto unless we discount all the tailed beast cloaks past 3-4ish. I mean orochimaru himself says that narutos attacks are certain death if they hit. and even through the ultimate defense of orochimaru naruto still basically mushes his body into shutting down completely
@@JohnnieKirkegaard94it wasnt just that sasuke has a good counter for deidara.. it's how he used it and the ways he countered deidaras attack apart from just using lightining style. A lot of strategy and tactical moves were involved in Sasuke fight against deidara to edge him out a win.
@@oscarperez5539 For sure! but if he didnt have is particular skill set of sharingan, chidori and the curse mark wings then he would have died at each and every step. You simply cant ignore the fact that anyone with the same tactical level and battle IQ i would have lost.
The point here is that power wise deidera was stronger than sasuke. BUT sasuke had a way to see the nano bombs which no one else who didnt have sharingan could have and he also had a way to nullify them. These things are not "sasuke was stronger" but sasuke had ALL the advantages in this fight.
Now if sasuke didnt have all the advantages and still won? well that would have shown that he was much stronger.
Lets say a person with fire style using their skill to outclass someone who had waterstyle. That would be a clear "im stronger than you" moment.
All of this and sasuke still had to plot armor his way out of a battle that was entirely built to be perfect for him.
This fight was at least 80%+ to sasukes advantage (if not 100%) and he still almost died.
@@JohnnieKirkegaard94 yea ill give you that, won't ignore his sharingan and wings helped him and lightning style, but say someone who did have that stuff but lacked battle intelligence or wasn't very tactical.. they'd still lose most likely. Sasukes calmness and strategical thinking and observation is what carried him a lot in the fight for him to use his advantages to the fullest potential

Man I don't know. I know this is your rewrite but that Sasuke vs Naruto fight doesn't sit well with me. Not just from a power point, but a character, and narrative point.
The first time Naruto powers up to the 4 tailed mode its shocking because we've never seen it. Seeing it again so soon is... Meh.
Like it takes a while before Naruto loses control again, from that point, and adds a ton of suspense and hype when he busts it out again on pain. We go from 4 tails fighting Orchimaru, to Karama nearly coming out, come pain.
Also going from 4 tails, to 5 so quickly just seems pointless, having it happen so soon. It takes away from it, and just makes it feel more like a cheap gimic, and doesn't even make Sasuke look cool, since 4 tails already had a go. Also it makes Yamato be literally borderline pointless.
Personally here's how I would handle it using the story you have up till now.
Since the Garra retrieval arc, I would have an emphasis on Naruto over relying on the 9 Tails Chakra. Nothing over the top, just what he did against Neji with the red aura slightly forming.
This sets up a growth, but it also adds more to Naruto's character, if you have a few scenes of people worrying Naruto is using that Chakra to much, and not taking it seriously. It also makes more sense for Yamato to be placed on his team.
Secondly Yamato shouldn't be this weak. 'I think Hinata might be stronger than me' bs. He's there to replace Kakashi. It doesn't make Hinata cooler, it makes Yamato, and by proxie people around him seem useless.
He needs time to show off his power. When you get to the bridge, Kabuto knocking out Saukura is fine, in fact the whole Hinata vs Kabuto, but is great, but Yamato should have a purpose to play.
I would have him help Naruto. In the fight with Orochimaru, Naruto, and Yamato team up. This shows off Yamato's skills, and hypes him up, and could give is cool combos him and Naruto pull off. Also during the fight Naruto only goes up to 1 tail, the form he used in his first fight with Sasuke.
You have 2 things be mentioned. The first is Orochimaru thinks that he's gotten a lot weaker since his fight with the 3rd Hokage, explaining how he's losing to the duo, and second, Yamato, is holding his own, but is nervous with Naruto's power, and unsure if Naruto is in full control.
Afterwards, it progresses like normal, but now when Naruto fights Sasuke, he finally goes all the way up to the 4th tail, for the first time.
This turns it into a hype moment as it's the first time Naruto takes on such a monstrous form, and raises the power curve when he starts firing mini nukes. It also makes the line 'A battle of monsters' fit better here, then in his fight with Orochimaru, because Sasuke is full cursed mark.
You make a show of how Naruto isn't in full control, have him hurt his friends, but is finally beaten by Sasuke, when Sasuke traps him in a genjutsu.
After the battle, seeing how dangerous the power is, Naruto vows to stop using it all together, and boom. You get to have his growth be way more hype as he's now fully using his power, and thus the need for him to make a new technique later, and learn sage mode, be that much more important, but then also when the pain fight happens, and he transforms once more, it keeps that as a hype moment, and is the first time he breaks his promise, and then further adds more to the rest of the series when he needs to learn how to control the 9 tails power.
It's literally a free character development arc, with hype scenes

Sasuke is way too Op here I thought Naruto and Sasuke were supposed to be relative this means Naruto has to have a buff as well tbh
@@thatomanaka323 They're not supposed to be relative all the time. If they were, Sasuke would have been brought back to the village earlier, and the story ends sooner. Don't worry. Naruto's buff is coming (including sage mode).
He did say he way rewriting it in a way he saw best. This was the best he had at the time.
I’ll be honest I really like this series so far but 20 minutes into this video and Yamato has already made something like 5 or 6 “haha Naruto PP Smol” jokes. There are PLENTY of ways to attack Naruto’s pride. It doesn’t always have to be the same joke, the lowest hanging fruit. Even Sai (useless as he was) mixed it up. Not a huge deal but still distracting 😅
I mean you can fill in the gaps yourself and imagine him mixing it up like the original. 🤷
Your Sasuke fighting and smacking 5Tails Naruto is relative to Pain already before absorbing Orochimaru (still weaker than Pain obviously, but on a whole other level than the original). He is going to annihilate Deidara if the story progresses the same way as in Shippuden.
Sasuke of all characters should not have got a buff like that makes him way too powerful.

I don't mind the buff, he needs more strength to be comparable to Naruto in the later parts of Shippuden. For me the timing is too early. According to dialogue from Toni and Sasuke, Sage Naruto is stronger than MS Sasuke who beat Killer Bee. Sage Naruto got beat by Pain. 4Tails Naruto was able to break out of the Rinnegan rods that beat Sage Naruto and 6Tails beat up Pain. This would make rewrite Sasuke pre Orochimaru absorption at least Sage Naruto level and therefore stronger than early MS Sasuke. Unless I missed something crucial.
I'd say Sasuke is close to Pain, but Pain would definitely still beat him. Remember Pain used a very large Shinra Tensei on the Leaf Village while also having some minor fights with other shinobi such as Kakashi. Pain was already significantly fatigued before facing sage mode naruto. But Pain beat sage mode naruto without too much difficulty and even captured the six tails in a chibaku tensei. It was only when Naruto went eight tails that he broke out of the chibaku tensei, then Naruto went back into sage mode again when Pain was near the brink of death. Sasuke in base handled three-tailed naruto with little difficulty and had to go in CM2 for five tails. Sasuke almost went to his max, the only move he didn't use (it was hinting at it) was kirin on five tailed naruto. While Kirin is strong, I doubt the move would make too much of a difference to beat six tails, so six-tailed naruto probably beats Sasuke. So with these feats, I'd say Pain would probably clap Sasuke still.

Yea, I'm not too cool with Sasuke able to take on a 5-Tails.....4-Tails, MAYBE, considering Orochimaru had a hard time with it, but 5 is a bit much.
EDIT: Actually, now that I think about it, never mind, this actually is fine, because I just remembered how by this point, Akatsuki members were able to take out & capture lower Jinchuriki who could FULLY transform, so Sasuke being able to take out the Nine-Tails with 5 Tails out is actually fine with me, especially since he had to go Cursed Seal Lv.2 for it.

I liked the previous parts of this series a lot, especially the land of crystals arc. However, in this one, I feel like Hinata is acting out of character A LOT. Shouldn't she be more gentle? Instead, she verbally threatens to kill two characters, one of which is an ally, and that is weird (even though yamato was acting like an ass). The series is very good overall, to this point

as someone who hates both hinata and sakura, this was a breath of fresh air. you wonderfully handled them both.

Not really a problem, but I think you could've decided on another title, this arc is about a lot more than the fight and if new subscribers are watching through the combined episodes the title spoiled a cool moment in the rewrite.

Dear everyone in the comment section:This is a rewrite meaning the power scaling of the orginal show does not apply,h. “Oh I hate Yamato this sucks” yeah that’s the point? He’s supposed to be an antagonist character your not supposed to like him and honestly I’m more than willing to trade Sai for Hinata, she’s the main characters primary love instrest yet has such little screen time. Naruto suffers from an over bloated cast, Kishimoto introduces a bunch of characters during part 1 and then abandons there development for new shiny toys. The entire Hyuga family storyline is basically hand waved to the clan head being like”I put a slave mark on a child,treated my daughter like shit,sparred with Neji ,and now everything’s ok”

I thought it was sasuke at first since in the first rewrite movie it said something about the reaper death seal mast and the Oni mask is pretty much that and that’s only available to uchiha I guess
The whole Sasuke being trained by Orochimaru section should've been completely reworked. It makes more sense for Sasuke to just make a deal with Orochimaru to give his body away in exchange for power to kill Itachi, and then hand over control to Orochimaru fully. Could introduce some sort of contract jutsu for this or whatever. Itachi could then find a clever way to undo their contract and separate Orochimaru from Sasuke, similar to how he did in the original, minus removing the cursed mark.
As it stands, Sasuke getting this strong after a time skip is a plot hole.Even more so in the rewrite.
What's the reason Orochimaru chased after Sasuke in the first place? Because he needs an Uchiha body and he couldn't get Itachi's, since he was way stronger than Orochimaru. Sasuke wasn't, so he's an easy target.
Makes sense so far. Then Orochimaru recruits Sasuke and starts training him. This would make sense if Orochimaru had failsafes in place, making sure that Sasuke couldn't physically harm him. Maybe because of cursed mark, maybe he installed something similar to Hyuuga migraine seal onto Sasuke, doesn't matter. This didn't happen.
What happened instead? Orochimaru honestly just trained Sasuke to a point where he's stronger than him. And even to, what seems to be, sub-Madara level in the rewrite. See the problem? In order to avoid having to fight super strong Itachi, he went for super weak Sasuke, made him as strong as Itachi and attempted to steal his body all the same, making the whole operation obsolete... We're talking about the most intelligent character in the verse here.

Orochimaru's Sasuke plan is extremely stupid,
however in canon. Orochimaru probably would've destroyed sasuke if Lord 3rd didn't remove his arms and his sickness didn't keep progressing.
Remember, Orochimaru when slightly healthier was KIND OF keeping up with ballistic four tails naruto.
Sasuke had nowhere near that much firepower.
That done by a fan manga in Kishimoto's drawing style would be dope.
Why aren't there fan mangas of Naruto showing epic battles? There are a lot of fan mangas for Dragon Ball and One Punch Man.

While I know and have very much kept in mind that at the beginning of all this you've stated that, you're rewriting this to your tastes, it's always a mixture of tiring and disappointing when I see MANY people always jack up Sasuke in skill and/or power so far above everyone else. It's especially so when I saw you actually giving attention to other characters and showing just how much stronger and skilled they've become over those 3 years, the best examples legitimately being Naruto, Sakura and Hinata.
We all obviously know the series is flawed prompting things such as this series, yet some just stay so far ahead of others. Wouldn't you think with Sasuke being I wanna say at most a head above Naruto be a more realistic way to have gone about this?
Sharingan are one of the most cheat skills in this world and allow fast learning, precognition and basically slow down for the user and he trained under a Sanin for 3 years. Yes I expect him to be strong but on the other hand Naruto has shadow clones which transfer all knowledge and experience back to the user aside from physical development (not including muscle memory I believe), more stamina & chakra and also trained under a Sanin while gaining experience.
While Naruto does have to play catch up the fact that this wasn't taken into account or atleast some of it and is very very easily handled just makes the rewrite feel not much like a rewrite.
While a good amount of enjoyment has been lost, I still look forward to see the rest of your perspective at the very least.
I see in the comments a lot of complaints about the power scaling. In the original, Sasuke looked like he could have absolutely dog-walked team Kakashi. I love how we got that fight here and I thought it was cleverly done. It may not be everyone’s taste that he became this strong, but it makes sense. He was always incredibly talented and getting trained by Orichimaru would give him access to the cutting edge of training.
Realistically, it would have made more sense if he had more changes in chakra natures in the original since the sharingan allows you to easily copy ninjutsu. I love that Kakashi shows off more abilities in this re-write and I love how Naruto gets more abilities on that note.
I do agree that there were several missed opportunities. It could be that Sausuke convinced Orichimaru that he would hand over his body for his revenge or that he had too much hubris, but it would have been nice to see his reasoning for not putting in safe guards on better display. I also never felt it made sense that the Nine Tails was so evil, and this feels ramped up here. I would have loved to see more dynamic that builds up how Naruto eventually befriends Kurama earlier on.
@dygoknight I think you did a consistent job with Sausuke here. You foreshadowed that he was stronger than Orochimaru at this point and demonstrated that with him defeating the 5 tails. I always found it weird why he or anyone else never tried to learn one--handed seals and I was hyped that he did here.
I actually thought that at first too but honestly this is Peak Writing. By making Sasuke this powerful he not only hypes up the inevitable Final Showdown between Naruto and Sasuke, he also sets an example of how powerful the future Enemies of Naruto will probably be and how strong Naruto must become to face the next threats. And as bonus it actually shows that training with Orochimaru paid off cuz instead of the original where Sasuke just went from Chunin to just High Jonin, Sasuke went in the Rewrite from Mid-Chunin to Mid-Kage (Sanin-Tier). And by having Sasuke being already more powerful than Orochimaru at the beginning of Shippuden it shows that Sasuke will stick around and not lose his body to Orochimaru

Tbh I really liked the way you wrote Naruto and Hinata's relationship and I love how protective she is. Borderlining Yandere, but not quite to that extreme.
Having sasuke weave 2 jutsus wiith both hands is a fantastic idea. He is omnidexterous, after all.
Everyone's talking about what you've done with Hinata and Naruto but I haven't seen anyone talk about Hinata, she is awesome in this, her shyness hasn't completely faded but she's so much more confident and stronger than in the anime, I always thought Hinata being weak made no sense (I know she is said to be strong in the anime but she doesn't show it even in the last a movie dedicated to her power she does nothing lol) having her not passing Neji but almost at his level makes so much sense

And then kishi proceeds to nerf him over a dozen times.
I liked this.
The instrincasies of going into a non-allied territory, Naruto's interaction with Hinata and Sakura, the fights between Hinata and Kabuto and then Sakura, the initial fight between Naruto and Sasuke. All of that was great.
But it is not without its faults. Yamato was a pain to go through at first and I dont quite understand what made him change his mind, it made more sense with the weird Sai. Hinata's dialogue seemed weird to me, too assertive; which is what you were going for but it gave me whiplash. And Naruto going 5-tails and Sasuke beating him seemed too much, it would have been better if once Naruto reached stage 2 of the transformation, it was skip to the mind-battle like in canon, with the appropiate changes.

Was loving this series but Sasuke being this strong really puts me off watching the rest because the power creep is rather gonna be insane or sasuke will just no diff everyone until the war arc. Also I don’t like how Incompetent he made Yamato, even if you wanted him to be weaker than Hinata he’s still a Jonin and should be more competent as a Ninja than Hinata who hasn’t been on a mission in 3 years

@@DygoKnight hinata got the most character growth, is there an explaination at how she is so cold, like when she threatens yamoto? cause that seems out of character to threaten someone, shes more of a strong defensive personality, as in she will stand up to defend someone, standing up to threaten is more of an offensive personality, does she have personality change in boruto? while i can see her saying something to have yamoto stop picking on naruto, i cant see being so blunt with a threat... hinata seems to be really op, not against it, but the sweat jutsu seems like a deus ex, overall i like the rewrite its really focused on characters and story, you tackled story/character issues i had with naruto overall quite well.

Like when she woke up later than every one else before they depart to find sasuke because she was killing the battalion of grass ninjas, or also how when Naruto says they ran into a few grass ninjas at the end, she seems suprised (because she thought she killed ALL of them) the writing you are doing here and the clues and everything is such top tier amazing IT IS AMAZING

I really enjoy your rewrite, but honestly I think the Sasuke you have created here is way to strong or at least have waaaay to much chakra to use.
This Sasuke is actually the strongest man on earth far beyond everything kishimoto created before the second half of the fourth shinoby worldwar.
Having absurd amounts of chakra is something the uzumaki clan is known for, not the uchiha clan - even with a lot of high quality training.
And then all the high grade element releases, like he is the avatar from another well known series. I don't know man.
This overpowered Sasuke degrades all the high quality rewrite you made to a typical fanfiction in which the most beloved character of the author get's an uneven powerup. You are doing such a great job, so I think you should considering to rewrite it again.
