    Bill had a rare singing voice. Remember as a boy, he played football for Muirkirk Juniors. Lovely memories and a lovely man.

    What a group : Jimmy Shand , Jim McLeod, Bobby MacLeod , Ian Powrie , Bill McCue and Jimmy Shand Junior -- certainly I will never see such a group together again and I doubt if anyone will ------- incredible .

    Yes, I agree. Music that you can't help but like. Shame there isn't more like this these days. Jimmy Shand was great. It's good to see so many people enjoying it.

    I Used to watch the White Heather club every new years eve in black and white when I was a kid in London, my grandad was from the Highlands and my dad had a selection of Jimmy Shand 78s, couldn't help but tap my feet.

    I think I'm related to Bill. My Dad always said there was a connection. My Grandpa's mother was called Margaret McCue. We're all good singers and accordion players.

    Hogmanay on BBC just seems to be full of glitz and glamour....not even worth watching. I wish that they could squeeze in something like this, something down to earth.

    Much of Scotland seems to be ashamed of it's traditional music, or it may be that many are tone deaf and only respond to tuneless beat and rhythm supposed to be music. Aye, Hogmanay on TV is a disgrace.

    Bill McCue making a complete fool of himself. The Master of Scottish Dance Music sits there beside him - Jimmy Shand - The Scottish Dance Music Legend. In World War II the Japanese wondered how they could torture the Scottish P.O.W,s - eventually they came up with this..... they nailed the Scots prisoner's feet to the floor then put on Jimmy Shand records....
