Andy was a great talent who is sadly missed. He had a beautiful tenor voice! For those who don't know and have seen the 1997 film 'Titanic', Andy's son Ewan played Officer Murdoch, the one who shot himself on deck.....
My mum went missing one night everyone wondered where she went to she snuck off on her own to see Andy Stewart at a local community centre in our home town where he gave a wonderful performance she came back glowing with an autographed and Stewart album , she said if she went with someone else they would have been a weight on her shoulders
brilliant. A legend and so sorely missed. If memory serves he had several shows, especially on ITV or grampian as we knew it back then. Including Scotch Corner and most of the time there was lasses dancing too, nothing like that really now. Oh to have a tardis, lol
My clan (Scottish on my father's side), clan Graham, our tartan is green, different variations of green, blue and red depending on which branch of the family tree, we also have a coat of arms
Aye. Keep Scottish people in their place. Love Andy a geal speaker (notice my language is forfeited NOW) on RUclips. Can't even w Write gealic /goely etc. This is genocide continuously
I have always loved his interpretations of Scottish songs, a wonderful talent
I think I remember him being guest star on an episode of “Bothy Nichts” I directed for Grampian TV back in the day

How fascinating!
You can see the resemblance a lot!
Ewan (Andrew) is a great actor, he's very expressive in non-verbal ways.
I so agree. He was brilliant and had great humour
Great performance of a wonderful song, and video beautifully produced.
I'm 60 and an ex squaddie, I remember this in my grandfathers record collection. I will never forget the words or it's sentiment.
