    I think I remember him being guest star on an episode of “Bothy Nichts” I directed for Grampian TV back in the day

    Andy was a great talent who is sadly missed. He had a beautiful tenor voice! For those who don't know and have seen the 1997 film 'Titanic', Andy's son Ewan played Officer Murdoch, the one who shot himself on deck.....

      You can see the resemblance a lot!
      Ewan (Andrew) is a great actor, he's very expressive in non-verbal ways.

    Great voice,grew up watching Andy on new years eve brilliant show,time moves on but not for the better so sad

    I'm 60 and an ex squaddie, I remember this in my grandfathers record collection. I will never forget the words or it's sentiment.

    brilliant. A legend and so sorely missed. If memory serves he had several shows, especially on ITV or grampian as we knew it back then. Including Scotch Corner and most of the time there was lasses dancing too, nothing like that really now. Oh to have a tardis, lol
