so it's been a while. a lot of you guys seemed to have thought i left youtube or sumn, but im still here.
this video is the longest animation i've ever made, and im extremely proud of the result. this is the type of content i aim to make on my channel, but hopefully i'll be able to upload more than once a year LOL.

i'll leave the story in the video up to interpretation. i may explain it one day, but reading your theories will be very fun.

The way I interpreted the end was that she saw she wasn’t alone, that even the sky is crying and has bad days sometimes

I think this animation represents the struggles of being alive. Ok my theory is,
She is struggling from depression or anxiety, she tries to find new ways of being happy but never sticks with just one like the lyrics "I get somewhere but don't like it, get somewhere change my mind eh, get somewhere but don't find it. I don't find what I'm looking for" suggests. She's trapped in a what seems to be an everlasting loop of trying to escape her problems but ends up in the same sadness she started with. She wants or is trying to find someone to relate to, someone to talk to, someone to listen. "Life feels like a lie, I need something to be true *is there anybody out there?"* really gives you a feel of that. The lyrics "Apathy for me is an issue you see, I just talk about the things upsetting me" shows that she finds it hard to show interest in "happy people" because she is suffering from trying to find happiness herself. Ok ok so the Mr. Mysterious guy is basically acting as her conscious telling her to take time off and "Don't f*** with your poor fans, you need the rich ones to expand your floor plans." This basically means that expressing feelings with people of a lower class is not accepted within society and she needs people socially acceptable or at a higher class to be able to fit in according to him. She doesnt agree with this and tells him that she's "Forgetting to eat" and sleep because of her depression.
At the end with the same guy also serving as her conscious, its raining and he holds his wing out to shelter her, lifts her hand out and she looks up at a sky full of emotions, this serves as taking a moment, looking back on her past and reflecting on it. Finally seeing a glimpse of happiness. I need some snacks :)
allow me to mention they are two different people, guy at end has wings and short hair, guy in the middle is actually girl and has super long hair and no wings. makes me think girl in the middle is a personification of her poor mental state/more morbid thoughts/possible depression, and the place the conversation with her happens in her mind while she's still in the street irl. the winged guy is the better half of her conscious, just as you said. thats my thoughts anyways

All the eye candy aside for a split second here. Can we all please acknowledge what a motherf*cking BEHEMOTH of a task it is to animate a 3+ minute video HANDDRAWN in 60 fps? We are talking about at least 10.600 individual drawings if my math skills don't disappoint me and this is WITHOUT the outro and all frames that got trashed because of high personal standards of the artist. BRA-VO! I shall tip my nonexisting hat to you!
aight so,
the girl is looking for something or someone but never found it, she has problems containing apathy and other upsetting things but never been treated seriously by the buissness woman (i think she's her mental image of her, a split).
She decides to not look for that someone anymore and ignore her problems but she cant. her friend wing guy covered her from the issues and slowly helped her look at the things she done, the things she worked hard on. and the blood, sweat, and tears on.
thats my theory, doesnt solve aything but i wanted to make the cloud with faces have sense or else i would get terrifying dreams tonight,hopefully youre good and as always 10/10 animation, love the sync.
And when everyone needed her most she returned with a beautiful animation 😆

Man, not only is it super smooth, but a lot of people can definitely relate.
I can't explain how much this resonated with me, the way life can be tricky and a puzzle, specially since right now I personally feel kinda lost at it, but hopefully things will be better at some point. this was a great animation, Just remember something: life is both the good and the bad, that's the deal we make, but it can be funny, the better our lives are the more the dark spots stick out, and when life is kicking you down, even the simplest acts of kindness can shine brightly like a lighthouse. Its all a matter of perspective. This is one of the reasons I love perspective, since depending on who you ask a bowl of room temperature water can either be hot, cold, or no temperachure change at all and this principle follows with most things in life

The video description said that the meaning was up to interpretation. What are your guys’ interpretations of this masterpiece? I will comment mine 👇.
So it seems as though there are 4 characters. The MC, who I will call MC, the pointy eared library ghost thing, who I will call Wraith, the black winged guy, who I will call Corvus, and the other hooded figure who vanishes, who I will call Enigma.
Based on the grey-scale nature and the "floaty" weight all the characters have (plus a bijillion other things), I think most of it is happening inside MC's head/imagination. It looks like it's about depression, but that's first-glance level meaning. My immature brain immediately went to superheros after that and now I can't unsee.

This is why I'm subscribed to only Cudlil. I've seen so many of these animation meme channels but Cudlil's work is inspired (yes I know this wasn't a meme). The choreography and storytelling present in her animations are fantastic.

Lol I LOVE this song, I always thought about it all the time. If you pass me I would always be humming it. I love it so much because I feel like the song reflects how a lot of people feel. I love your animation too. It’s so clean and I LOVE your style. When I came over this video I had a rush of memories come to me. Ik this sounds fake but as I was listening to it I started crying. I hadn’t even realized it. Until I got to the end, I bursted out in tears. But they weren’t sad nor happy. I don’t even know how to describe it. But, for some reason after I was done crying, I was smiling. A rush of satisfaction filled me. I want to thank you for that and all that you do.
