- Today marks the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, a moment when the gay community in New York City stood up against oppressors and began the modern fight for LGBTQ+ rights.
Broadway Bares will celebrate 30 years of baring it all with Broadway Bares: XXX, featuring provocative new production numbers inspired by the show's sexy and sensual three-decade run. The live, in-person extravaganza returns for two performances on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Fourteen choreographers pull the g-strings of inspiration from Bares' titles and storylines of years past, bringing new takes to audience favorites. Tickets to Broadway Bares: XXX are on sale now: broadwaycares.org/Bares.
At this month's #BroadwayBares: Take Off, in a piece of poignant storytelling and choreography by John Alix, recording artist and activist Mila Jam and actor Gabriel Hyman led peaceful and empowered protests honoring Stonewall. The cast lifted each other up, both physically and metaphorically, in the joyous number that celebrated those who paved the way for the LGBTQ+ community. Happy Pride! #WorldPride #Stonewall50

Produced by and benefiting Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, Broadway Bares: Take Off raised $2,006,192 at two performances on Sunday, June 16, 2019, at New York City’s Hammerstein Ballroom.
This year’s Broadway Bares put the lust in wanderlust, offering a tantalizing twist on world travel. The show celebrated Carnival and Day of the Dead, explored the strength and sensuality of Spain and Japan, teased the potential shenanigans of long flights and triumphantly landed at the 50th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, the birth of the modern LGBTQ-rights movement.

I'm crying because i felt it. The simplicity of the performance. Amazing choreography. The Concept. Everything is just perfect. Salute whoever idea is this. Makes me even more proud being a transgender from the Philippines who also experienced a lot of discrimination and harassment. I felt like I owe my life to Marsha.( I did my little research). I hope that there will be a real place where we can go. That we don't need weapons. Instead we have love and respect for everyone. Thank you so much for this masterpiece. I lost count but when I saw it. It was playing again and again. Love you all. Especially to the performers. Job well done.
*Cries* We still have a long way to go but we have already come so far! Thank you! The acceptance and positivity of this was healing.
As a NYC gay bar bartender for 11 years, I've been showing this video all month. This past Pride felt like the most "normal" one since 2018 and I've had all the emotions all weekend. But re-watching this video tonight finally gave me that cathartic cry I needed for my community.
This has become a new tradition for me to watch at Pride every year. 💚🏳️🌈🏳️⚧️
Something has either gone very wrong or perhaps very right when we can have a strip show memorializing such an important event and still have it be respectful and inspiring.
This was wonderful. Thank you all for incredible job you do!!
Brilliant! いつか、Broadway Caresを見に行きたいと思わせる舞台です。From Japan. Thanks.
We , here in Europe, Australia and North and South America can say we are lucky, think of those ones who live in Russia, Asia, The Middle East or Africa and still suffer of terror every day. Love is love , let's make the World a better place every way we can!

Very meaningful. Certain groups of people are ready to take your rights. Make sure you vote in the coming elections. Do not take anything for granted.
Not even 30 seconds in and I started crying
Fantastic! Beautiful!! 🇮🇹🇺🇸😉👍
I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched this. I love it so much! ❤❤❤
I do have a question though. It looks like maybe there was supposed to be a third ribbon/flag pulled but the dancer had an issue getting it out. Anyone know which one it was going to be?
