  • In this video I visit a Massey Ferguson Combine Parts & Salvage Yard in Tyndall South Dakota.
I was in South Dakota and was told about this place and thought I should check it out since I was close. I met with the owner Rod Skorpic who told me his father started a Massey Dealer here back in 1946. They are no longer a Massey Ferguson dealer but they have a huge inventory of Massey Ferguson combines for salvage and several barns and semi trailers full of new and used Massey Combine part.
I really enjoyed my visit here and if you need parts for an older Massey Ferguson Combine call Skorpics in Tyndall South Dakota at 605-589-3972 or 1-800-284-9104
Thanks for watching and I'll catch you on the next video.

My grandfather used a MF 300 combine up until the late 90’s. Two row corn head and a 4 row bean head. He upgraded to a “big” MF 510 2 or 3 years before he retired.

Even though it hurts a bit to see all the classics waiting to be taken apart,
it's good to know that other classics can exist because of these spare parts.
Thanks a lot for the video! 😊👍🏻

With parts prices being what they are, salvage parts are an affordable option for older machines. Sometimes new parts are no longer available...so you're best option is a trip to the salvage yard or someone with a parts machine.

Nice video . Definitely brings back memories when I was a kid and was so excited when as u said a BIG red combine was coming to cut the corn . Used to also play in the truck full of grain . To this day if I heard a combine coming down the road I’d wait and watch it going by in awe at the size of them these days . Thanks Mike . 👍🏻

Yeah a dealership here had a MF loader and forklift a neighbor had a track loader and another had a MF log skidder. They couldn't have made many of them. Also my best friend they were MF people had a 510 combine and tractors and a backhoe. Thanks again.

If you stop the video at 6:04 the third combine from the end with the engine taken out which is a massey ferguson 510 combine that was actually my dads main combine till about 2010 when he bought a massey ferguson 850 out in iowa and in 2018 after running that 510 for the past 30+ years, Rod had contacted my dad and asked him if he was interested in buying a very nice low houred 850 he had just bought and dad ended up trading in that 510 combine you see for the second 850 that we still run and use every harvest.

That's wild! Lifetime of collecting. Your comment about being 7 years old.... I remember around 1970s when I was a kid combine would come to do our oats or barley, it seemed as big as our house. Belts and chains everywhere. Come to think of it cows seemed big, tractors all seemed big. Funny how perspective changes.
