    The carbon bucket seats look incredible and one of the biggest complaints is how difficult it is to get in and out of them. In this video, I show you my methods on getting in and out on my Imola Red G80 M3. This has allowed me to keep them in pristine condition.

    Pretty good method. Mine is similar. However, one thing, at least for me, that makes it even easier is having one seat memory setting set to go back as far as possible. I use this setting prior to getting in and out and there is plenty of room for me to navigate without having to reset my steering wheel every time (which I’m pretty particular about and would drive me insane if I had to do that all the time).

      @@TheDailyDriven it’s a shame BMW doesn’t have an auto setting for their steering wheels like a lot of their competitors do. This would make things even easier IMO.

    Thanks for the video. With the knees being angled so much higher than your hips would that place your lower back into a higher degree of forward flexion which could potentially create more disc degeneration over time? It reminds me of sitting in a couch that sinks causing your knees to be super higher than your hips, its what they call sacral sitting

  • @Vaticous
    @Vaticous Год назад +1

    Sort of unrelated to getting in and out of the buckets themselves, but how much room or “play” do your legs have while sat in the buckets?
    I have heard that most people can’t sit in a relaxed position which could seriously make longer drives miserable. Anything narrower than 45 degrees, in my opinion, wouldn’t work for someone driving in these every day for decent periods of time.
    Thanks for the video.

    • @TheDailyDriven
      @TheDailyDriven  Год назад

      The carbon bucket seats are comfortable but it all really depends on your body shape and height. When it comes to be able to move your legs, it's definitely restrictive. But it wouldn't be bad for somebody driving as a daily as long as their drives are not intensely long. I think the issue comes with people getting in and out of the seats and worrying about the bolster.
      I have about almost 5,000 miles on the car, and the seats still look new because of this method I've been doing on getting in and out of the seats
      There's enough room to move your legs slightly but not to be able to go spread eagle
