Hello William, my 9 year old son is really enjoys writing stories and is getting lots of praise at School. His school suggested we (as parents) should try and encourage him at home. Schools do not have the time or resources to focus on his progression. The reason I mention this is because me and the Mrs do not know how we can help him as we do not write! Do you have any suggestions on what we could do to enhance his writing skills? We live in Walsall which I think is not far from you, do you offer tutoring, William? I have no idea why I started watching your channel but I think I have watched most of your videos, even though I never write!
There’s an organisation called Spark Young Writers who I work with, and rate very highly, who sound perfect for your son. On one Saturday every month they have a professional writer working with a group and - I love this - at the moment I run the one in Walsall. Read all about it on this link and perhaps he could try out a session to see what he thinks. I’ll try to be impressive. Thanks for asking: it’s a shame schools can’t do this but I like very much that his recognise it and want him to pursue writing. My school laughed at me - quite literally.
