RAZ!!! You are awesome, man! Im not even a speed runner, I just enjoy the rc hobby with my sons, but I truly enjoy watching your vids, and they always make me laugh and smile! Plus, I’ve been able to learn some things that I utilize in my bashing rcs too! I’m truly glad I started following you about a year ago, and I wanna thank you for producing interesting and funny vids! Keep doin whatcha do!
You are cracking me up man. What a great intro. This series will be par for so much of my work from here on out Brother. Thank you for the experience first hand.
You the man. You a speeder. Forget them . We follow you . The info you give is priceless. Thanks for always sharing and growing the hobby 😀 👍 🙏 😊. My Dude!
I can see people having an issue running a gyro in like a drag race but for top speed runs it literally makes no difference. The skill of the driver is irrelevant to the actual top speed of the car.
I’d like to see you build an off-road 1:8 scale buggy. Your speed cars are top notch and I’ve learned a lot from you and I’m trying to apply it to off-road racing with jumps
I look forward to your videos each day and just taking in all of the information. Thank you for your time and I look forward to your next video. Have a wonderful day my friend ❤️
Your prototyping and fabrication skills are exceedingly good. Prototyping and fabrication used to be a passion of mine. Do, Experience, scratch your head, research Cross Industry use. But most importantly, solve what you deem as the problem with thought.
Raz love your video's, I'm from the crawler world of RC so I'm never going to build a speed car but love everything RC and enjoy watching what you guys do. Also love everything electronics. Keep it coming
Thanks so much for doing this series raz I’m more of an off road guy love bashing lol but after watching your videos the past month I’m really considering getting into speed runs and building my own speed run car
Thank you so much Raz. Now I will break free of the resistance and embrace the gyro. After all it was invented by a man with an awesome name. Lol. JOHANN’s RC GARAGE out. Much love brother 👍🏻👊🏻
Lets feed that algo.. loved the intro, and Thanks for the tip on quick connect. I always thought it was the same as the program card where it was just an interface to connect the ESC to PC.
I 3D printed a nice sleek case for my perfect pass, can still access screw and looks cleaner. Love the videos, you have nice clean builds ad great content.
Really entertaining video Raz 😅but also as usual informative and great content, really enjoying this build series as I am currently rebuilding my limitless👍👍
Is it ok to connect data log cable to computer without unplugging aux wire? I thought I read somewhere that you have to unplug aux before reading logs.
The reason people push others away from using better tech is because they are either jealous of people getting ahead of them when they put in so much time, or they don't know how to use it correctly and they just give up and say its faulty. (keeping in mind not every brand is the same or the same quality) People need to keep in mind we wouldn't have the technology we have now if everyone was made to start at the beginning with nothing. Get over your own ego and or excuses and just enjoy the hobby. Thanks Raz for reminding people this is just a hobby, and we should applaud people for being fast no matter how they got there. No one thing in speed running is the holy grail. Gearing, Gyro, Tires, Motor, or Perfect Pass. Just because you even copy another speed runner with the exact same set up will not guarantee you their numbers. I'm a chef and a lot of chefs like to keep secrets......but only the true chefs could honestly give a shit if you know the exact ingredients and measurements. They write their own cook books because they know you can't replicate it exactly because its the technique, and knowledge, not the ingredients.
Love this channel. Thanks for the confirmation on reciever wires can be changed.i have a radiolink rc6gs that has 2 wires with the button plugs I also have a signal booster and live it.
Luv your honesty 😎 as…….I’m a speed runner and I’ll use the best parts I can afford, it’s sll about fun 🤩 and super tip about the antenna off the receiver I’ll use that 🙏
Greetings Raz, I know it is late where you are, but your links to the Dewalt and your GPS are broken. I have always appreciate that you are willing to share how you get your speed, some guys try to act like someone asks for state secrets if you ask for advice, like they've done all their work on their own. Thank you again brother. I have used your advice a lot, even though my car is still really a shelf queen.
I like this video, Raz. Excellent work. Question: What is the purpose of extending the antenna wires? If only the exposed portion is useful for reception, is it just to move it away from electromagnetic interference?
Great question!! it's just so it's higher, make a huge difference surprisingly, I was surprised also, very! We're talking like 4 -6 inches different, works🤷🏼♂️
Gyro.....Fancy carpenter's level. Especially when flying so you maintain level across the FLAT plain. Like it says on the first page of aviation manual.....
In case you did not know, you should not cut the tips of the antennas, you take distance from the rc car to the remote control... looks awesome, your speed is epic jejejeje...
New to your site!!! At 72 now raced RC Boats until 2008 or so. I had to buy a used boat that was all setup on 4s hydro carbon fiber I hit 75 mph in Flint MI on a timed course. Great boat. Anyway now retired in Sevierville TN and just need a basher or something to run up and down the street what do you recommend? I loved the road race X-Ray cars and I setup chassis’s on smaller cars. But sold off all my setup boards etc. starting over on a limited budget as I am retired now. I want a gyro too. Thanks in advance Mike
I’ve had bad luck with gyros, but I never tried a Futaba. SkyRC, Yeah Racing, and Radiolink are the ones I’ve tried. Setting the gain beyond 20 made the steering modulate quickly with the vibrations of the car at 70mph or more. Car was undrivable. Less than 20 gain and the gyro had zero effect. Might have to invest in the Futaba. Also, surprised you don’t run a B-Link? 🤷🏻♂️✌🏻
@@RazShifrin no I made sure it counter steered properly on all 3 gyros. At about 20 gain, it would correct the steering in the air when moving the car side to side. But when the vibrations of the road start building, the gyro would oscillate back and forth like a tank knocker on a motorcycle.
Hi Raz I’m following your build with my limitless v2, I’m very new to speed runs so your videos are being very helpful. Need to ask about camber on front and rear wheels as my wheels aren’t open so I’m thinking I have to remove and replace them until I get camber correct? Is that right
For anyone wondering why the antenna has to be around 30mm exposed, here is the sience behind it: This has to do with the wavelenght of your sinus wave signal. In order to recieve a singal the antenne must be at least a quarter of the wavelenght from the signal. Given the signal is 2,4GHz so 2.400.000.000 hertz. And the speed of the signal equals the speed of light. You can calculate the wave lenght with the following formula. Speed of light in m/s÷ frequencie of the signal = wavelenght 299792458÷2.400.000.000=0.125meter =125mm From the info in the beginning that the antenna needs to be a quarter of the wavelengt is needs to be around 31mm. English aint my first language so forgive my mistakes
I just purchased the Perfect Pass. I also have the Castle B-Link Bluetooth module. Does the Perfect Pass go between the B-Link and the receiver? I think so, but wanted to make sure. Should I remove any throttle curves I have programmed in the esc and just go linear?
Hey Raz , been building this exact car with ,or after your build. Question. What’s the dealio on top of the receiver? Is that your giro? Or something else. I have atm just a cheap dumbo with build in giro until my big boy receiver turns up from overseas. Any help will be awesome 😎
Everything You Need Is Here..

Thanks so much for doing this series raz I’m more of an off road guy love bashing lol but after watching your videos the past month I’m really considering getting into speed runs and building my own speed run car

Raz, great content and game changing production and introduction to speed running.
Thank you:)!!
Only Chuck Norris can drive rc going 300mph without Gyro.😆
Got to be the funniest rc dude I've watched..armenberger burger.. 🍔.lol
Got a perfect pass for my birthday. Can't wait to install and try it. Just need the driveshafts now for my limitless.
Raz you are the man.

Aux wire should not be there in the first place:) i'm covering all of it in my previous videos;))
@@RazShifrin How could I forget! I will go back and re-watch.

Thank you for part 4 Raz! Do you think Spektrum’s AVC receivers No.SPMSR6110AT will work okay?
Good info. Thanks.
Audience: we need shorter videos
Raz: Imma tell you a story
Length doesn't matter when it's quality. And raz always gives us quality content.

Castle Quick Connect DUO for the win
Oh so you are saying it's actually cheaper to just have my testosterone tested by a doctor?
No but seriously great video.. That intro was great.
Can you show how to extend the range of your radio in more detail?
Pretty sure Raz did the narrating on some videos my automotive instructor played at TSTC :)
I got my bell on and I didn’t see this pop up
I'm not sure why RUclips is doing it!!!!🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️🤦🏼♂️

Nice build wish you would make some speed carbon fiber rear driveshafts for Arrma’s 3s line they need help lol 😂
In case you did not know, you should not cut the tips of the antennas, you take distance from the rc car to the remote control... looks awesome, your speed is epic jejejeje...
Great video, nothing wrong with a gyro, i use them in all my planes, why you ask, so they dont bloody crash, and guess what, they work
I locked up front and back diffs from scorched RC. Do I still need a gyro 🥙? I also have perfect pass and a Sanwa trans and receiver.
202 mph is the fastest rc car at moment.
Duuuudde!!! Come be my best friend!! Haha Colorado here
Fantastic video Raz, do you mix your Dual lock 250/400 or both 400 ?
you should integrate the quick connect feature into your perfect pass device

Hey Raz hope you're well. Do you recommend using cap packs on a max 6 g2?
What steering servo are u using ? Futaba one?
Once you collect your gyro don't spend it all at once. 🤣🤣

Just shortening it
