    This is the best header install I have ever seen. I really appreciate that you referenced all of the parts, right down to the APR bolts and torque values. While it would have been helpful to see at least one view from the bottom, it was still useful. Thanks a lot for posting!

    just got mine in today for the goat, 950ish just for the headers, they went up to just below 1,300 the next day. But less than 600... wow I’m jealous.

    Just get some Xforce headers/ catback. 1 7/8 primaries 304 stainless, thick flanges, beautiful welds, 3" full cat back....and adjustable mufflers. You don't have do half that shit to install the headers. Both sides just slid right in. Didnt even need to remove CAI intake, and sterring shaft. The only things I had to remove to get access is the plugs, wires, and remove oil dipstick.
    Xforce engine back exhaust is probably the best sounding exhaust on the market. Look them up.

    • @bonecrrusherSS

      $1500 for a cat back? Ouch.... I've had Kooks/Corsa on 3 cars now - and its a combo that I'm going to stick with.
      The more competition the better though - hopefully drives everyones prices down and saving customers some $$.

    Do not forget that after install of the headers, once you have driven the car for say 1,500Km you will need to tighten the header bolts ? Due to the heat they tend to loosen up a little not all of them, but to be sure i would check them after driving it and once the car cools down check the torque of the header bolts ?

    • @bonecrrusherSS

      I have the same headers/bolts/gaskets on my Corvette - and none of them backed out.
      Like I mentioned in the other comment - just finished a 2000 mile road trip with no issues.

    Did you bolt the headers straight up to the stock exhaust?

    • @bonecrrusherSS
      @bonecrrusherSS  6 лет назад +2

      I had to use the G8 Corsa connectors. They are 3" short and either need a cat to make up the difference - or some exhaust pipe.
      I welded in a set of high flow cats here: ruclips.net/video/YFVuupXVIQM/видео.html

    Did you use anything to protect the plug wires after you put the headers on?

    • @bonecrrusherSS
      @bonecrrusherSS  4 года назад +2

      No - just the stock GM wires, and the stock metal shroud pieces - if that makes sense. The metal piece that is tubular and is already on the stock wires.

    I am planning to buy kooks headers 3 inch and 3 inch xforce varex catback for my caprice and I am afraid that kooks headers will not fit with xforce catback so could you help me is it gonna be a bolt on or will I need to do some changes like weild etc,,?

    • @bonecrrusherSS
      @bonecrrusherSS  4 года назад

      Hassan I don't know how the Xforce connects to the headers. I'm not sure if the Kooks/ARH/Stainless Works connect in different spots.

    What o2 sensor extension harness did you go with and where did you purchase them And the corsa connection pipes for the g8 bolted up without issue with the ss headers? Been looking for a system to bolt up to my corsa catback and your video is putting me in the right direction.

    • @bonecrrusherSS
      @bonecrrusherSS  4 года назад

      Fronts don't need extension harness - back o2s don't need them either. You have to pull the harness from the back of the head and that should give you the length that you need to connect to post cats.
      The G8 Kooks to Corsa pipes fit - but are 3" short.
      I used a set of high flow cats to make up the difference.

      Pull up on it and it will pop out of the block.

    Sorry if you mentioned in the video, but how long did the install take you?

    • @bonecrrusherSS
      @bonecrrusherSS  7 лет назад +1

      I did my headers as part of the supercharger swap - so I had the car torn down and apart when I installed them.
      The headers probably will take 4-6 hours depending on tools/lift vs on the ground/mechanical skills.
      Hardest part is getting the front 02 sensors disconnected from the back of the cylinder head.

    • @bonecrrusherSS

      Francisco - I bought the Kooks G8 to Corsa J pipes.
      I modified them by adding a set of cats. They are about 3" short - so I made up that difference with the cats.

    • @bonecrrusherSS
      @bonecrrusherSS  6 лет назад +1

      Cody - should be no reason.
      The SS didn't change anything exhaust wise from the manifolds to the mufflers.
      They just changed to the Bi-Modal mufflers with the valves in them in 2016+.
